For my daughter's first third grade project, she has to make a poster with her name spelled vertical ALYSSA. Each letter has to stand for something that describes her. She's to include picures. Adorable Loud Yamin fan....We have a nice picture of Elliott. He'll hang in the elementary school hallway for a few months.

For Hebrew school, there will be a Jewish musicians project. Last year, it was Jewish inventors. Today was my 4 year old son's first day of Hebrew school. He proclaimed first dibs on Elliott!

Aww - that's great - start them young!!

Yep! I have a History project about my "culture" like what shapes you, influenced you, etc.

For "other cultures" I put Elliott! and described his passion, love for music and kindness to unknown people. Does anyone have the best picture that represents who he is? Because I'm having a hard time choosing one!

My teacher -might- put it on the wall, and we -might- have to present it to the class!

I've use Elliott in two school projects... the first was collage and my theme was emo/happy... it's really hard to explain what exactly it means, but Elliott's on the happy side wearing all white and singing and on the sad side Kellie Pickler is popping out (but they're both awesome XD) And I drew him for a portrait thing... but it came out awful and he looked weird ><

My daughter had a project for Kindergarten - "all about me" - Elliott made the page before her own father...lol. I had to talk her into putting a pic of her father on there... :rotfl:

It's great that you are starting your children off on the right path to appreciating music.

By the way, that kind of "poem" is called an ACROSTIC

19991,
Your bear is cute!

Thanks, that's what they called it on the instruction page. My memory is going....

My kids have eclectic taste in music. Elliott is their favorite. They also like Hannah Montana, High School Musical, Bianca Ryan, Aly and AJ , Josh Hoge, Blake Lewis, Lawrence Welk musicians, Cher and opera singer Paul Potts.

Wow! That's quite a list of musicians. I remember having to watch Lawrence Welk with my mom. Back in those days, families had only ONE television. You were lucky if you got three channels!

My daughter and I share a love of music, Elliott included. We both also love reading and poetry (which is how I knew the word "acrostic".

Can I suggest adding Josh Groban to the list? :)

My fifth grade daughter also loves Elliott. Whenever we go anywhere in the car, she is not happy unless we put Elliott on. She went with me to see him in his concert at the Birchmere, and now she wants to go to the concert in Hagerstown.

Funny thing is, one of the teachers in her school is Elliott's cousin. My daughter is very excited about this. Without any prompting from me or discussions she asked the teacher if Elliott could come and give a concert at her school. Of course, her teacher just laughed and said she would check. Now that would be a great school project!!

It's so heart warming to see that Elliott has so many very young fans.

Luvmesomee, that was really funny! I can imagine it.

My daughter's project is hanging in the hall at school. There will be a big open house for parents in a few weeks. She told me that all of the teachers have come up to her to comment on the picture of her and Elliott.

I know I will never forget Elliott's kindness to my daughter. In Delaware in May, we waited in the hot sun for a few hours( Itslate and her son kept me entertained) When my daughter got to Elliott, she told him he was her favorite singer. He high fived her before we took a picture. She talked about that for months. After the Philly conert, he was out on the street near midnight, posing for pictures with a huge crowd of fans. Before going inside, he saw my daughter and posed for a quick picture. She's still talking about it. Afterwards, she wrote a story about her concert experience and gave it to her teachers. Considering that she has autism, that made it even more special.

Thanks Elliott for not only enriching our lives with your beautiful music, but for being so kind to us and our families!
