Title: Elliott In Manila - Sept 22, 2007
Description: Manila Day 2~ Glorietta

TxRangerette - September 22, 2007 02:13 AM (GMT)
I just talked to merrr on the phone!!! They started the line for tickets for tonight's show!! The first time I called her it was about 8ish in the morning (mall opens at 10) and she said there were about 15 people in line already!! Our Japanese Etrainers (Siba and Naru-k), Indonesian Etrainer (Yules) made it to Manila early this morning. The second time I checked with merrr, all of them were together!! I just had to make sure they arrived safe and sound, and they did!! They all sounded E-xcited, to say the least!!

Okay...that's all for now!! They're all taking LOTS of pre-concert pics right now!!

e5l11 - September 22, 2007 03:34 AM (GMT)
Waah! I just got home from the Glorietta madness. Lol.

All of the E-Trainers I'm with (Marie, Kaori, Yoko, Elaine, Christian, Lea, Yulia (sp?) etc.) got meet and greet passes except me! T_T Because I already got the CD last night..

So the story is, I got there at 8am. I checked the North Park entrance but there weren't any people there so my dad went to the other entrance, the one with the T-Shirt project, there were about 5-6 people waiting including Elaine. :D
Then Marie and the Japanese fans came at about 8:30am. We lined up and met other more E-Trainers/Yaminoys. They took many pictures of us and the line. More people came. The security guard opened the entrance 10 mins before 10am. At first, Merr was just walking like a normal person shopping, but then when she walked pass the guard, she started running. Then we followed fast. we didn't mind the people or things we're bumping to, our mind was just "STUBS!" Lol.

After we got stubs, they went to buy the "CD with meet and greet passes." We took pictures again, planned a little for tonight and we're off to what we need to do.

It was an amazing race to the concierge.

TxRangerette - September 22, 2007 03:39 AM (GMT)
Thanks for the update, E5!! Glad you got the ticket stub, though! It's a funny thought that you guys started racing after you passed the security guard, lol!!

Linda4Elliott - September 22, 2007 03:50 AM (GMT)
thanks Tx and e5l11. Happy to hear that Siba and the others arrived safely. How about Purpledelightz(sp)? Did she make it? Anyway, thanks for posting. I love reading every detail :)

She's going to the Cebu venue on Wednesday!! I have arranged for my friends to meet her and her friend in their hotel...together, they will head off to the mall (streamers in hand, green shirts on, hopefully) and meet up with Loth!! They all have tickets already (thanks to my brother and sister)...except for Loth whose friend arrived at the concierge too late for a ticket. Nevertheless, Monet knows about the situation from Brandon, and Loth should be able to get in one way or another.

georgiafan1 - September 22, 2007 03:59 AM (GMT)
Thanks for the info. Glad that our travelers arrived safely.

e5l11, were they out of CDs with Meet & Greet passes by the time they got to you or did you not want to buy another CD in order to get the M&G pass?

Have fun. Can't wait to read about everyone's adventures.

e5l11 - September 22, 2007 04:13 AM (GMT)
I should have gotten a M&G pass. But I didn't have enough money to buy it again. I didn't know about the CD w/ M&G passes. T_T

HAHAHAHAHA!!! I'll never forget the feeling of sprinting all the way to the concierge booth! What an adrenaline rush! Thanks to those who recommended that we run... I think it made all the difference, because the last of us just made it within the 50-person cut-off for the CD autograph signing!!! :) Sooooo looking forward to tonight!

eysfan - September 22, 2007 05:45 AM (GMT)
I read at the Pinoyexchange forum that
Elliott did a sound check at the Trinoma Mall before the show around 5:30,
and sang 2 songs. It might be worth your while to arrive at the Glorietta Mall early.

xtn4e - September 22, 2007 07:46 AM (GMT)
Okay here's a quick take from me on this morning's events:

Ticket stubs to Elliott's concerts are only distributed on the day of the show, and only one ticket per person is given. I had an Ayala Discount card which meant I could get two seats closer to the stage but I wasn't sure whether they would end up following this rule so I decided to ask my friend who lives near Glorietta to come with me just in case (my mom is watching with me tonight but couldn't be with me in the mall so I needed someone to help me out).

We got to Glorietta at around 925am and there already was a small line of about 20 people (mall opens at 10am). I could tell that lots of these people were Elliott fans. I decided to line up in the Glorietta 4 entrance because I was informed by one of the other Yaminoys that this gate opens earlier, by maybe a few seconds of even a few minutes. I was hoping this would be the case.

It was around 945am now and a long line had alrady formed. But more people started coming and there was now a small mob crowded around the entrance. My friend tells me "Christian, there doesn't seem to be a line anymore" and I say, "don't worry, I know what to do". At around 950am the guard allows people to come in and I move forward, weaving in and out of the people. I'm probably the 15th person inside and I could see a few people running already. I was prepared for the run though so I start seriously sprinting. It was maybe a 150m sprint and I managed to run ahead of most of the people.

When I got to the concierge though, there were already about a dozen people there - seems that some of the folks who knew someone who worked in the mall managed to get in earlier and line up already. Dang! Then some of the people who were running behind me knew someone in front of me so they got ahead. I ended up being about the 25th person in line. Not bad...

(continued in next post)

xtn4e - September 22, 2007 07:49 AM (GMT)
About maybe 30 seconds later or something, I start seeing a few more people, including merrr, beck and some of the other yaminoys, running towards the line. They decided to go by the initial plan of lining up at the gate closest to the ticket booth, and it did seem that the entrance I took opened a little bit before every other entrance. It was about 952am when the ticket booth started giving out tickets, and it was amazing to see that the line was already very long.

Beck passed by me and said that Elliott's CD was already being sold next to the concert stage and along with it came a meet and greet pass. I already got my CD from Amazon and I was still thinking that I would get a free M&G pass for my mom with my discount card. So I decided at that point to stay in line, especially since I was close to the front of it already.

A few moments later, there was only one person in front of me and my friend now. But as luck would have it, the ticket booth person said that there were no more meet and greet passes for the Ayala Discount card holders. I was aghast - it seems that the passes were really limited! I figured that I would queue up for the CD and get two more for me and my mom. The only question was, were there still enough CDs with M&G passes available. So my friend and I quickly get our tickets and I do another quick sprint to make the CD queue. Luckily, I managed to get two passes (i figured I should get one as well for myself even so I can go with my mom) Set me off an extra P750 (about $16) but I don't care! It'll be all worth it tonight! Wahoo!!!

xtn4e - September 22, 2007 07:51 AM (GMT)
Anyways, I just got an SMS from Yam saying that they will start letting people in at 5pm which is about an hour away from now. I'll make sure to bring my tripod this time so I can get videos. My mom is bringing her cam as well so i should be able to take photos with one camera while the other is taking videos. I'll try to come online again tonight do a quick recap and maybe upload my photos and videos as well.

xtn4e - September 22, 2007 08:06 AM (GMT)
Btw, i think all the Yaminoys and etrainers who lined up this morning, including siba-san, naru-k-san, and yulia, all managed to get M&G passes I think. So it's looking good for all hard core Elliott fans :)

purpledelightz - September 22, 2007 09:53 AM (GMT)
Thanks for your concern Linda4Elliott! TxRangerette has helped me in many ways. I owe her a lot.
I'm too nervous...haha! :bestwishes:

Meg has been been updating me of what's going on at the Glorietta concert at the moment and I'll post what she told me via text:

The sound tonight is much better and so he sounded better.

His playlist is different from yesterday's: He started with I'm The Man and now he's singing Take My Breath Away.

He's still wearing the fedora hat.

Elliott also thanked the Glorietta people and the Filipinos, who he said are the most warm-hearted people. (He also made mention of this by the way, when asked during the presscon as to why Filipinos love him. He said that he is warm-hearted and so are we Pinoys and so that maybe the reason we relate to him so well.)

Christian said the crowd is even wilder than last night's.

Elliott left the stage for awhile and Meg thought something might be wrong. But he came back so Meg had a sigh of relief.

The show is finally over and the encore was Free. Meg said the show is much better than yesterday. The word she used earlier was "wow!"

Wow....the fans in Manila really know how to write recaps.....they make them so personal and touching. How sweet was it that Elliott said a warm-heart was what he had in common with Filipinos. So true, you can detect a kindness even in the recaps. Thanks to you all.

Ok I'm finally online for today's recap LOL! if i thought yesterday was great, well, this day just broke all records LOL

Today, merrr, yam, cla, belle, beth, and me and my mom (i am forgetting someone! sorry!) all managed to fall in line early enough to get front row seats!!! We all set up our tripods but I made the stupid mistake of setting my video quality to be lower so that I could upload the videos easier and I am watching them now and the quality is awful. But at least it doesn't make me dizzy so i'll upload them (hopefully in a bit) and share with you. to continue...

First off, the Glorietta activity center was packed. And I really do mean packed. All seats were taken very early, a jampacked crowd stood behind the seats, and even in the upper floors, the ledges had lots of people who stayed there to watch the entire time. it was intense!

The first time the crowd goes crazy was when they caught a glimpse of Elliott backstage. The crowd erupted in wild cheers! An announcement was then made and when Elliott's name was mentioned the audience cheered wildly again.

The band members then come out and start sound-checking for a few second. When Elliott finally got on stage, the crowd went absolutely WILD! It was insane!

Anyways, he opens the show by saying, as eliza reported that he is so happy to be here, and that he couldn't have picked a better place to have his first international show than in the Philippines because of all the warm kind-hearted people. Needless to say the crowd kept on cheering wildly.

He tossed in a couple of Filipino phrases again and started by saying that he got several requests to play "I'm the man" and he and the band would try to play it acoustically and they did. I just realized right now when checking my vids that I didn't get a video of this (how sad! LOL) - apparently I took a photo instead of a video. How stupid was that? But the acoustic version was great nonetheless and set the tone for a great night.

(more in next post...)

Just came back from Glorietta. It was AWESOME! :lotsolove: I'm still giddy from it all that I'm so sorry I can't recap in a sane manner! I got to kiss him and hug him and hold his hand and chat with him, all that in half a minute -- but I've been replaying it over and over in my mind so much, that it now seems like we were together for an eternity! Haha! And oh, I had my photo taken with him! But it's with the official photographer so I have to wait a week to get it, aww.

The best part of tonight was ---

After the concert and meet-and-greet sessions were over, the crowd dispersed and moved to the corridor connecting to the hotel. Except the Yaminoys -- we were the only ones left gathered around the stage, hoping for a last glimpse of him! We were in our "I :heartbeat: EY" shirts, huddled together for a photo. And then suddenly, Elliott came out! Wearing the Yaminoy "I :heartbeat: EY" shirt! He stepped down from the stage into the waiting arms of the Yaminoys! He shook all our hands and greeted us! It took all our self-control to keep from screaming! Then he posed with our group for several pictures! Aaaaah! It was so awesome! Elliott met the Yaminoys!! Wooohooo!! The tour manager even took our picture with Elliott's own camera! merrr has it on her camera and will be posting it soon, probably even now as I type this!! merrrrr and the Yaminoys, thank you so so so so much!!!! for everything! :woohoo:

Your recap made me LOL and I'm so happy for you and the Yaminoys!! I've been HOPING that somebody gives Elliott a Yaminoy tshirt, but for him to come out WEARING it and take photos w/ you guys, well, that's just TOO COOL! You guys know sticking around for a last glimpse of Elliott pays off! He is always so nice to his fans! I can't wait for all the photos and vids! THANK YOU!

May I add something re: our fabulous after-show surprise photo

Since the first show, we have been regrouping and we stay until Elliott leaves. We talk, recall show highlights, etc. Today was extra special because we had a bonus. We were the only ones left in the activity area because everyone else gathered behind the dressing room/backstage.

Monet told us Elliott was going to come out and I think everyone SCREAMED then quickly shut up because other people might suddenly rush towards our area. Gahhh. We were tense but excited, and when Elliott came out wearing the shirt, we tried to suppress our screams. THAT WAS HARD TO DO. Everyone waiting behind the stage were aghast. (Sorry, they couldn't teleport themselves to our spot)

Elliott shook hands with everyone (myself not included hahaha, but I don't mind) and then posed for one of our cameras, and his own camera. Our thank yous seemed endless. Elliott didn't have to come out and wear the shirt, but he did and for that we are absolutely GRATEFUL.

When he left, we all started cheering and screaming in GLEE. I think we did that for a full minute or two. Nevermind that we were in the middle of an almost empty activity center, with janitors clearing the chairs and sweeping the floor around us.

We told Elliott that we will see him again tomorrow. :)

xtn4e - September 22, 2007 04:51 PM (GMT)
sorry, I got cut off! Dang.

anyways, here's the rest. wandergirl and pianofingers, please just comment on the sequence if I made a mistake LOL

My camera seems to have gotten kinda screwed up with respect to the sequencing of videos LOL so now I'm not completely sure how his setlist went. So this may end up being a bit out of sequence. But I guess that's not an issue :) Anyways, if i recall correctly, he starts saying that his next song is quite relevant because of what is going on right now in 'Iraq' and he bursts into 'Find a way'. Again, I will emphasize what I said yesterday - he doesn't sing the same song the same way. He always adds different runs, and changes phrasing, but one thing remains the same - his vocals remain vibrant, soulful, and powerful.

This one might be out of sequence - could've been the 3rd of 4th song - but he does say that the next song is once again about bad relationships. I let out a loud 'whoop' to kinda let Elliott know that we knew which song he was going to sing. More people in the audience today seemed to know his songs from the album because when the audience recognized it was 'train wreck' that he was singing next (I can't recall if he actually said he was going to play it or if the audience just figured it out based on the opening riff and hum), the started screaming again.

I think he says the next song was his first venture into writing and was in fact released as a single. He says that he needs help from the audience for the beat - he starts clapping and the entire crowd claps along with him. I love how they break the song down somewhere in the middle. It was so cool and edgy! I think that's how the played it yesterday as well, but I was able to pay attention to it more today.

I think the next song he plays is 'Take my breath away'. He didn't play this song yesterday (same with I'm the man) so it was great to hear it. But what made this part even more memorable to me was right before he starts singing, the audience kinda shout out 'Moody's Mood' for a bit, then keep quiet and there is a bit of pause. I use this opportunity to use my very loud voice to shout "A Whiter Shade of Pale". the Yaminoys next to me cheer my choice of song and Elliott actually hears me, looks in my direction and points, says to the mic 'That's a good one!' then puts his hands together in front of his chest in his usual appreciative stance and gives a slight bow and says 'Thank you'. I was flabbergasted! I got to talk to Elliott even if he couldn't see me from the stage LOL! Needless to say I was so pleased that i raised my arms in triumph afterwards :) Can this night get any better? (well okay now with the news from pianofingers and wandergirl, you know it does ;) )

TRUE! :rocker:

I loved that when the show ended (before the encore), the cheering started behind us. Everyone started calling his name. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking of it. I'll see if I have it on video. I gotta sleep, I'll read the rest of your recap tomorrow! :)

xtn4e - September 22, 2007 05:03 PM (GMT)
He then heads into 'In love with you forever' which he sang the previous night as well. I'm glad I knew that he sang this song during the 4th of July but it's such a catchy song that it doesn't matter if people didn't know it. I know my mom didn't and she was having such a great time.

At this point, he talks about the next song being his next single. And he goes "it's one of those songs that every girl wants to hear from her guy or vice versa." and that "it's one one word that's best to describe somebody..." (now that i think about it, i think he sang this earlier in the night, probably the middle song). Anyways, there was a group of folks in the middle of the audience who were actually standing up and raising their arms with the #1 sign. I told merrr before the show that it would be nice if she got a photo of elliott with the #1 sign and I think she managed to take it, not sure. Anyways, again, it seems the people in the crowd knew that this song was going to be his second single because there was a lot of screaming in this song.

But the screaming for 'One word' didn't match that of "Wait for you" which he performed as his penultimate song for the night. He says that this song put him on the map and once again thanked all the radio stations for playing his songs and he thanked for fans for giving him his first certified hit (more screaming and whooping from the crowd). For this song, he takes the mic from the stand and starts walking around the audience, dedicates the song to everyone, and asks us to help him sing.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for your recaps! I'm so happy you all got to meet him. I'm always amazed by his kindness! He has never disappointed me by doing the wrong thing. He always does the right thing.

xtn4e - September 22, 2007 05:22 PM (GMT)
Once again, both Russell the guitarist and Aaron the percussionist (I made sure to recall his name this time around LOL!) left the stage. Elliott put his fedora hat on once again and starts talking about how he used to be a closet singer, singing in the shower. He tried to figure out which song he wanted to sing and there really was only one - LOUD CHEERS! He says the lyrics are very powerful and that it was his good luck charm and for some reason it sounds like he says he was going to "hurt" lots of people with it. But whatever word it is he says, the crowd ERUPTED. He continues his spiel and after every sentence the crowd is going BERSERK! and that's how it keeps on going:

He says it's a special song to him - lots of screams and whoops

The piano plays the opening riff - crowd goes wild
Elliott sings the first line - crowd cheers even more loudly
'...and I still made some bad rhymes...' - screams, whoops, and whistles continue
'...i acted out my life in stages...' - the crowd is still at it
'...with ten thousand people watching...' - still going crazy
'...and we're alone now, and i'm singing this song to you all...' - PANDEMONIUM!!!

screaming starts getting less frequent after this, and I felt people didn't have the voice for screaming anymore LOL and they wanted to hear more of him singing. But each time he goes "i'm singing this song to you all" the crowd reaction is intense

'...Coz my love is in there hiding...' - the screaming just keeps on going!

and naturally, his fantastic vocal runs from the instrumental leading to 'I love you in a place where there's no space or time' got the crowd going berserk once again. (Okay I'm running out of things to say.)

In his final pass at the line 'And when my life is over...' he sings the word 'Remember' 5 times and lots of cheers from the crowd.

He closed that song out and to say that he brought the house down with it would be an understatement. I still get goosebumps when I think of that performance. It was just so impressive and so full of soul!

xtn4e - September 22, 2007 05:29 PM (GMT)
At this point he leaves the stage and the lights go off. The people start shouting 'Moooooore....!!!!' but no one is stepping out and the lights aren't going on. It keeps on that way and I was worried that the crowd might get tired screaming so every time i heard the audience screams start to dwindle, I'd start screaming loudly myself and that would get people going on again. At some point, us front row Yaminoys start chanting "Elliott, Elliott" but no one follows so we stop after like a few seconds.

But shortly after that, we heard a faint chant of "Elliott! Elliott!" from the back and it started to get louder so we all joined in. And OMG it was amazing! Everyone in the audience chanting "Elliott!Elliott!..." in unison. It was surreal!

It goes on for several seconds before the crowd goes into more whoops and cheers, then the lights come back on and Elliott and the entire band come back on stage. Elliott looks extremely happy, almost overwhelmed in fact by the reception, and he goes into his encore performance "Free" (they also break this song down during the bridge similar to the night before, making it sound really cool). After that, the crowd that had been sitting for most of the show (culture thing - lots of Filipinos don't like to stand up while watching shows and the fact that people are sitting prevents other people from standing up) gave Elliott a standing ovation. I am not sure if Elliott saw that but it was unbelievable.

This is followed by the meet and greets. Actually, the meet and greet in Trinoma was better for the fans because they managed to get to talk to Elliott a bit in Trinoma but i think more people had stubs today so they had to make it really quick. There were two sets - the photo op where people lined up to pose with Elliott and have their photo taken by the official photographer. Shortly after that, the CD singing happened, and that went by really quickly as well. I was so overwhelmed that when I got Elliott to sign my CD, I couldn't even shake his hand or say "Thank you for coming to Manila" but I figured i had my chance to say that in my meet and greet in Market! Market! tomorrow. So that was okay. My mom got an autograph from Elliott as well.

And well, pianofingers and wandergirl both said what happened next. :) But to build on what they said:

Elliott had already gone backstage but Monet was still outside. She ended up talking to us and someone said we should have our photo taken with her. Someone else gave Monet an 'I<3EY' Yaminoy shirt and she put it on. She asked one of the organizers to take our picture. She then went backstage as well.

The Yaminoys were still there talking (as wandergirl said, we did that yesterday as well) then Monet came back out, still in the Yaminoy shirt, and told us "You can have one picture with Elliott" and we SCREAMED!!!! She then told us to remain calm, otherwise, everyone else will figure out what was going on and start mobbing us and then Elliott wouldn't be able to come out anymore so we were all like 'Okay, stay calm, keep quiet. shh!' LOL we were so funny!

then shortly after that, Elliott comes out WEARING A YAMINOY SHIRT! Okay, I need another word for screamed coz I keep using that word but well that's what we did, and kept doing. He then starts shaking our hands - this time both my mom and I managed to shake his hand. He keeps telling us 'Thank you' and I say 'Thank you very much for coming to the Philippines' (so yay, I managed to say that to him!)

A few people in the front row managed to get a hug from Elliott. He finally sees our two banners up close and personal, holds up the end of one of them, and Monet takes our photo with merrr's camera. Then she says "now with Elliott's camera" Yahoo! Elliott has a picture of himself with the Yaminoys!!!! After the pics, he thanks us again, shakes hands with people, gets a hug and a quick photo op with someone, and heads backstage again.

Once he leaves, the entire Yaminoy contingent ERUPTS IN UNBRIDLED JOY!!!! (Oh man, I am still on a high and I still have goosebumps thinking about it) We are all cheering and well words escape me. A year ago, we were wondering if we were ever going to even see Elliott live and here we are shaking his hand, talking to him, hearing him sing and watching him perform. And he even wears our shirt and takes a photo of himself with us with his camera. This is just absolutely unbelievable!!!

[my recap]

so i contacted merrr the day before, that i would join her in the "ticket vigil" at 8am outside the nearest entrance to the ticket area.

i got there a little too early. XD i arrived around 7:40-7:45am (i think). XD only one girl was there (i thought first it was lea - a yaminoy who also confirmed that she was coming with us also - but apparently she wasn't). anyway, i texted merrr that i was there already and she told me she was going to arrive a little later. while waiting a few girls started to arrive (including e5l11 - who at that time i didn't know it was her yet XD) and started to wait on the side. anyway, finally merrr texted be that she'll be there in 7 mins. and surprize surprize! she came with naru-k and siba! :D then merrr had to fetch lea at the other entrance and then she then introduced us to e5l11! :D funny since we were both waiting together for a while now but didn't know each other by face. XD anyway, then more yaminoys started to arrive including yulia! anyway, around 9 i think we started a line. while waiting we took pictures and talked on what should be our strategy to get our tickets. we decided that we would run! XD so when the entrance finally opened: me, merrr, e5l11, and lea all rushed like mad to the ticket booth! XDDD the other yaminoys also followed our lead i think. when we got to the line, we were all laughing since we couldn't really believe that we did that. XDDD what's even funnier was that other people seem to follow our lead also and were also running towards the ticket booth. imagine fans from different entrances running towards the ticket booth. so funny. XD anyway, when we finally got our stub, we went to the other line for the cd signing stub! luckily all of us managed to get stubs! :D i was number 45 out of the 50 who got the stubs. lucky me! lucky us! :D

anyway i had to go to the hospital so i left the mall then met with them (the yaminoys) in the line later that day. lea texted me that elliott started practicing around 4:30 pm i think but i was still on my way there. T_T when i got in line i met meg, who showed me the printed elliott tarp which i designed. glad it turned out so well and had my picture taken (with the tarp) with siba, naru-k, and yulia! :D then i met up with wandergirl (wow really small world! we were batchmates in my elementary school) to get my I :heartbeat: EY shirt and changed. Lea, Meg, and Beth followed. Yulia printed her own shirt and was wearing it as well. :D anyway, at around 6:00pm, they let us in. we got good seats at the center. around a little past 7pm, the show finally started. when elliott came out the crowd went wild! :D

i LOVE that he started it by saying (like what xtn4e said) that he is so happy to be here, and that he couldn't have picked a better place to have his first international show than in the Philippines because of all the warm kind-hearted people. of course we cheered loudly after that then he started singing.

the whole concert was one word: AMAZING. i'm really blessed to be able to see and hear him sing live!! all the planning beforehand and waiting really paid off! so totally worth it. you should have seen the crowd. see the place was located in the center of the mall. and for those who weren't able to get stubs like us, they were all listening and standing from the first floor to the 3rd floor! it was like wow. i got goosebumps especially when he sang "a song for you" particularly on the line "with ten thousand people watching.." since wow. it was really like that at that moment.

after the concert came the next best thing! :D it was meet and greet and cd signing time! :D unfortunately i wasn't able to get meet and greet passes but i did manage to get the cd signing stub! :D when it was my turn i told him "i've been a fan of yours since your american idol days" and then shook his hand. to which he replied "*beams* thank you so much for your support. God bless you."at least that's what i remember.

anyway and it didn't stop there since like what pianofingers, wandergirl, and xtn4e had already posted, elliott came out again and had a photo will all us yaminoys!!! the look on his face was so priceless (not to mention he was also wearing our i :heartbeat: EY shirt) when he came out of the stage since imagine all us yaminoys in our i :heartbeat: EY shirts holding 2 tarps just beaming at him. :D he then shook our hands (i got to shake his hand again!) and then beck suddenly asked "can i have a hug?" he said "sure!" and he hugged her. after than i quickly said "can i have one too?" (couldn't resist XD) and he hugged me too! squeee! :D he then posed with us and had our picture taken then it was time for him to go.

what an AMAZING experience. :D

LOL!!! i'll never forget it as well. imagine the 4 of us rushing like mad to get to the ticket area! XD

*running*
"where is it? where is it?"
"to the right! go!!!"

LOL!!! XD

On a final note, I recall someone posting in the Trinoma thread that it was sad that Elliott had to be given a security escort heading out of Trinoma due to the mob. Well, either the security in Glorietta was better (they are more used to big shows like this I guess) or Elliott wouldn't have had it any other way but this time, when he stepped out, the security around him were more walking with him rather than blocking out the crowd and helping him move forward. And what's more, Elliott had his camera out and was taking a video I think (or maybe photos) of the people waiting to see him exit the backstage. The crowd still continued to cheer him as he left Glorietta. I'm glad Elliott was able to do that because it's a good memory for him to have without the need for intense security fencing him in. He seemed a lot happier exiting backstage today than he did yesterday!

But shortly after that, we heard a faint chant of "Elliott! Elliott!" from the back and it started to get louder so we all joined in. And OMG it was amazing! Everyone in the audience chanting "Elliott!Elliott!..." in unison. It was surreal!

that was us yaminoys at the back chanting. ;D

Tx, you really think I can sleep now?? LOL I'm still so excited! (But my phone is in my car now and I am in an internet cafe with free wireless access so I can't leave my laptop here to get my phone).

And yes they did! Today it was merrr and beck from the Yaminoys, yulia from indonesia, and both siba-san and naru-k-san from Japan who got a meet and greet passes. Although there was a bit of a snafu there because they ended up having something more like an autograph signing rather than a meet-and-greet. But yulia had something for Elliott from Indonesia I think and naru-k-san and siba-san had something for Elliott from Japan. In fact, both of them gave all us Yaminoys a gift which was a very kind gesture of them! I wish I had gotten them something as well.

Speaking of which, I forgot to mention that belle managed to give Elliott the Yaminoy gift for Mama Yamin (I think it was a collapsible fruit basket made of native products and something else - can't recall what). She was in front of me and I heard Elliott say thank you to her and that it is greatly appreciated.

I also heard and have now seen that our gift to Elliott, the mini-me replica, has now been uploaded into his myspace page. This day is just over the top, really. :)
