Title: Trainwreck As A Duet W/ A Soul Queen..
Description: I think it would be really good

Any one else think so?

Or Bonnie Raitt - that would be heavenly to me... I think Trainwreck would make a great duet with a lot of artists!

The ONLY person I would love to hear Elliott duet with would be Donny Hathaway. And that would have to be one of those studio things, obviously not live. Elliott's voice is so pure, that I really don't care to hear someone else paired with him. Just sayin... Not that there aren't a lot of voices that would mesh wonderfully, but I would rather hear E alone.

I don't know who I would like to hear E duet with. But I do have to say that after listening to Reba's Duets CD, specifically her duets with Kelly Clarkson and Justin Timberlake, you can be surprised how two people sound together.

I would love to hear him duet with three singers...Roberta Flack...Ann Wilson (lead singer of Heart) and Corrine Drewery (lead singer of Swing Out Sister)

Roberta Flack...because...well...she's Roberta Flack!!! She made some great duet with Donny Hathaway in the 70's so who better than Elliott for her to sing with!!

Ann Wilson...also just released of a solo cd of duets...which is not getting as much press as Reba's CD but it's brilliant. Although she is more famous for singing Rock...she has an amazingly powerful voice that I would love to here Elliott take on. We all know he can sing many diffrent styles including rock...(Queen night...the duet on the Idol tour with Chris)...I think the two of them would be amazing together.

Corinne Drewery...now she was in a one hit wonder band from the 80's (Breakout)...but they are still together and have a small but loyal following...they do jazzy/soul...funky Burt Bacarach style 60's soul...that Elliott is perfect for. They both have very soulful voices that would blend very well together.

Ok I might have given this a little thought!!

Didn't SOS also have other hits like "You on my mind" and "Am I the same girl"? I know they also did a cover of La-la means I love.

I would love to hear Elliott duet with Alisha Keyes. I think their voices are well suited and would sound great together. Roberta Flack is a great suggestion also. LOVE her voice....The First time Ever I Saw Your Face gives me chills.

They were hits elsewhere in the world, but unfortunately not in the US. Here if they are remembered at all, it's for the song Breakout.

I know they were and still are very popular in Japan and other parts of Asia.

Yeah, I agree. I was listening to her debut album recently and thought she would sound great on a duet w/ Elliott.
I also like Rick's suggestion of Corrine Drewery. Love her voice and jazzy, soulful style.

Yes, I love India Ariei. I think it would be perfect. Trainwreck is my favorite song
on E's CD.

Since Elliott's duet with Mary Blige was the standout performance on the AI5 finale. And Elliott's duet with Chris D. was the the standout performance on the AI5 tour, I think anyone would be fortunate to duet with Elliott.

belle_marquez - October 14, 2007 04:08 PM (GMT)
Oh. A duet? That's great. I personally love train wreck but I think that E could blend well with a female artist. Preferably someone who's in RnB. :groupwave:

I agree with all your choices! I love Ann Wilson and S.O.S! I guess I look forward to ANY new music from Elliott. :)

I think it would be interesting, at least for me, to hear Elliott and Barbra Streisand sing a duet. I think their voices would match very well together. They don't have to sing 'Train Wreck' but I'm just thinking Elliott would sing Bryan Adams' part in 'I finally found someone' extremely well.

I would also love to hear Elliott sing with Dianne Reeves and Oleta Adams.
