I'm already mad at Target anyway because of the way this Holiday CD was handled - even though I got my copy on Thursday, I really felt for all of the etrainers who were having so much difficulty and frustration!

Okay, so I went on line just out of curiosity to the Target website and in the search box, I typed "Sounds of the Season". Many, many Sounds of the Season CD's came up from years past, but none for this year. Okay - so they haven't put it in the system yet.

So then, in the search box, I type Elliott Yamin. Sure enough two items came up - the regular CD and a book about the CD but at the top of the page, it said they had no results for "Elliott Yamin" but these items were listed under "Elliott Yasmin" so perhaps that's what I meant. ELLIOTT YASMIN? WTF? After having an exclusive deal on the original CD for the bonus tracks and now this esclusive deal on the Christmas CD, they don't even know his name? It's not even just a matter of misspelling it - it's an entirely different name! I guess I should be thankful that it came up anyway, even when I typed in Elliott Yamin.

Can you believe the sloppiness of it all? But I'm sure if it happens for Elliott, it happens for more artists than we ever know. At least it searched for "sounds like" Elliott Yamin!

Maybe it would have been better if we all had just stumbled upon it and were pleasantly surprised.

Rutti, I agree that Target is difficult to deal with. I understand that they are a major seller of cd's so I guess Elliott's alignment with them is a good thing but they do make it difficult. Lucky for me that they have a store very close to my house because both of Elliott's cd's required several trips by me before they were available.

I hope that all Etrainers are able to eventually get a copy.

Target has put out holiday CDs for years. This is just the first year that a lot of us have cared. The rabid fans of the artists in previous years were probably anxious too.

I have bought a lot of their holiday CDs and I have just picked them up on a whim or because a favorite artist was on the CD. Never really cared this much before.

For most people a holiday Cd is just an impulse purchase. The people at Target are probably just doing what they normally do. Since it's over two months before Christmas they probably figured that there was no rush to advertise or put up displays early. We are just more rabid than they are use to. LOL. :elliottcap:

Shame! They can't even spell his name right by now??? On the other hand, my local Target FINALLY put out about 14 of the Christmas one--I bought five more--but the other Target was sold out already...sos

Talk about being RABID!!! I went Sunday to get my x-mas c.d.s and the lady in the music dept. said-- "we won't put out he x-mas c.d.s until Tuesday.!" She was very "short" with me. so I chose not to beg her help me out. So I went to the customer service and asked the lady there when his x-mas c.d. will be released and she said "Let me call the music dept." I said "NO, she wasn't real happy about my bothering her before!". The lady in customer service said "Whats his name again? Maybe I will have to listen to this guy!"

I saw that too on the website!

But on a happier note when i went today to get my cd (45 miles both ways!) I moved them all (about 15-20) to an empty slot in the front of the little display thing! My friend was totaly laughing at me as she was helping me move them!! I have converted yet another friend into an Elliott Fan! :D

I can't get the CD at all cos Target don't ship to the UK.... :tantrum:

The Target judyp and I checked in Tulsa had no Christmas cds out at all. In fact, I don't think there was any Christmas stuff out period. Judy had checked the Lakewood CO Target before we left and w/ no luck there either. ARG!!!!

I couldn't stand to wait any longer so I bought on off Ebay.

:tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: I made my fourth trip to Target today....they had received KT Tunstall and the other country girl's Christmas CD.....NO ELLIOTT!!!!!! I'm so sad and mad.

Played it for the carpet-cleaner guy-he loved it, so gave him one of my extras...guess I have to go back to Target and re-stock (if they're not all old out)...

I've went to both Target's that are close by and NEITHER had it yet, grrrrrrrrrr. We have a major wind storm brewing right now, I'm debating whether or not to try again tonight.

Checked another Denver area Target today, nada. :( They said they wouldn't be putting any additional Christmas stuff out for a couple of weeks, must be waiting for Halloween to be over.

I have two extra CDs. Please pm me if you are interested in getting them from me.

I'm going to Target in the morning...if they have any left I'll be glad to pick up and send to anyone that can't get it.

I bought 4 at my Target Monday gifted 2. I'm heading there this weekend if anyone can't get one and my store still has some I would be more then happy to pick some up. Just let me know

its really annoying i know. i went yesterday and this guy brought me to the christmas part shelf and they had no elliott???????? why do stores never put out elliotts stuff when theyre suppose to? this makes no sense. like when i was getting his album they didnt have it anywhere i went to... its soooo stupid!!!

I finally got my x-mas c.d.s! They only had 6, so I bought 5. Thought I should leave 1 for someone else. Aren't I a generous person? LOL (maybe they will order more) :elliottcap:

Ahh...Target. Haven't bought music there since I bought his debut album back in March! Guess I gotta make another trip :etrain:

Had some errands to run and finally got a chance to run by the Target that is closest to me, which is about an hour away - so I usually don't get to go there often. Out of curiosity, I checked the Christmas cd display. No Elliott Christmas cd but plenty of other artists' Christmas cds though.

I checked Target's website too because I was curious if they had any sample clips. I noticed when the search results for Elliott's music came up, the results were from a partnership with Amazon.com.

Drove an hour to my nearest Target on Wed (OCT 17) ...no CD's . They had the other 2 Sounds of the Season, but NO Elliott.

Today (Oct 21) , I have called a total of 5 targets stores within a 2 hour drive of me, in 2 differents states no less........NOT EVEN 1 OF THE 5 STORES HAD IT!!!!

What is up with that???????????

Nothing surprises me with things related to customer service today. I'm thankful I got the CD without a problem, but yes.....it would be nice if people could order it online without any issues too!

We were at a Target in Lancaster County PA yesterday. It wasn't there yet. The nice salesman searched for me.

My kids and I were upset.

I have been to Target everyday since last Sunday, except one day I called.

I had to go to 3 different Targets to finally find it because it was sold out everywhere and the one that still had them was a brand new store that just opened and not many people realize it yet. Don't think Target was expecting the demand for it--hopefully they will step up production.

Got to my Target this weekend bought 4 more that's all they had. I asked them to check to see if they had any more. The same PIA kid that helped me the other day was there. He laughed, rolled his eyes and said "nope that's it" Asked him if they would get more in this week? " DUNNO"

yeah, funny how it seems like some stores are never expecting much demand for Elliott. I have to say that Dallas Targets have gotten it done pretty well in the past with E's cds. I picked up his Xmas one right on time last Tuesday, though it wasn't included on the new holiday releases endcap like it should've been... it was just in another (harder to find) Christmas cd section.
