My wonderful Sista's at Moosak, are responsible for my being able to see Elliott. The provided the funding so that I could go to see Elliott. How rare is that? The ladies here that love him are made of the same material as he is.
Here I am the oldest in the group to be sure, and upon seeing Elliott became a "screaming teenager" once more! Anything that resembled decorum, totally left my body!
He had just arrived a little before we did. He had played New York the night before, and had come down with a little cold. So he stayed behind to get to a doctor for medication. But you'd never know it! He is a consummate performer.
We met him outside of the venue, and spent 30 minutes with him! He is the sweetest thing since Little Debbie Strawberry Shortcakes! The way he acted, we might have been long lost relatives, he was so happy to see us!!! I was really scared at first to approach him, but that didn't last long, lol.
I had given him pictures I made of him in the Uncle Sam get up and he loved that, also I took him one of the weinermobile!!! He already had the Saloon Photo, and keeps it with him on the Bus, he told me that Thursday, I guess so far it's his favorite!!! He laughed at that, and later Von told him who all the Sista's were in the photo.
We gave him one of the BOOB's shirts, he chose a purple one. Scott ran inside when I showed Elliott my shirt, to get his camera so he could take a photo of it. Also the boys in the band were craning to see what was on the shirt so I walked over and showed it to them, they all cracked up laughing.
If I could add anything at this point, it was that Tofu put in a call to Beagle, so Elliott could talk to her!!! I have a good shot of Elliott talking as Tofu held the phone.
We ate early and were the first ones in line, because they said they had limited seating. Well once we got in there the seating was in the back of the Venue. But my feet and back were hurting so bad that I had to sit. By the time Josh Hoge started his set, I couldn't see, when he was done I said to hell with this I won't be able to see Elliott. So I got up and started pushing my way thru the crowd saying I had to be with my daughter! Tofu heard me held up her arms and said "Mom!!!" I just figured I would never get this chance again, and I was not gonna miss it. I didn't care if my feet fell off, I was gonna see him sing.
He had worn black cotton sneakers with white laces, gray jeans and a dark navy blue shirt with sleeves rolled up the shirt looked to be a silk cotton blend, he had a pocket over his right breast and a white v neck tee under that! I stood just below him as he performed, he's the best thing that has happened to older women since the defibrillator! As he performed if I'd been any closer to him than I was, he'd have been standing on my fingers as I gripped the stage to keep from keeling over. Elliott came out for an encore and sang ASFY! He dedicated it to the Moosak Ladies and ETrain, (one of our girls was wearing an Etrain shirt) He doesn't miss a thing! He takes it all in, he is amazing. The only music while he sang that was keyboard, and to my estimation it was the best song out of the set. He could have done the whole concert that way and sounded wonderful!
This for me was the chance of a lifetime, I am so thankful to all my Sista's who made this possible. It is a memory which I will cling to forever. Seeing Elliott was like a dream for me, and meeting my Sista's was the icing on the cake!
:awe:
