TX asked me if I was going to write a recap...although it won't be nearly as interesting as hers, here goes! lol!
I went to Dallas to attend the concert with my daughter and her fiance (we got GREAT seats, btw)...so, I was at their mercy for my ride there and although my daughter had taken the day off (we went to bridal shoppes and tried on wedding gowns! fun, fun), her fiance had not...he worked until 5:00...
We arrived around 6:30 and I was afraid I'd missed everyone already...we went into the restaurant and ordered dinner, and then I was up, on the phone and looking for willow (we are Moosak sistas!) I found her outside with her aunt, so we officially "met" and her aunt took our pic. We were out there to get our "pink bracelets"...I went back in to my family and she and her aunt joined us a few minutes later...we had a nice visit...she's a lovely person...HOWEVER, I don't think she mentioned she'd been at Elliott's bus!! LOL!
Anyway, after dinner, we went to find our seats and on the way in I recognized Toni...I quickly introduced myself and met her friend Julian, also...our seats were in the balcony but we had front row box seats...nice...great view of backstage...I noticed Elliott as soon as he walked back...so, from then on, I didn't pay much attention to who was onstage, it was so much fun to watch Elliott dancing!!! lol! he dances with such joy, he is having the time of his life! I even saw him dancing with Jaime...it was so sweet...
When he FINALLY came on to do his set, all I can say is WOW...You HAVE to experience that voice LIVE...it is truly a thing of beauty...so rich, pure, powerful, exciting, soothing, (yes, at the same time!)...you understand...my daughter and her fiance, who have been to MANY concerts were amazed at how great he sounded live...they said so few artists sound that good live...my daughter thought he sounded BETTER live, and she LOVES his CD...I was so happy that he did Free, but disappointed that I couldn't hear him do my fave, You Are the One...oh well...he was One Word: amazing....(cheesy, I know!)
After the show we headed toward the exit to go out to the merch. table and I ran into Willow again...she gave me the info for the meet and greet because she was leaving, but I assumed that I'd missed it...she wasn't sure what to do with that info either...so I just got in "line" with the other "commoners"! LOL! It wasn't long before Elliott came in...and the "line" didn't take long to get through...I wasn't as nervous as I thought I'd be when it was my turn...I felt as if I was meeting a friend I already knew...and he's so gracious to not make you feel awkward, or that you're a bother...
The first thing I did was show him my buttons, from my moosak sistahs, Carol and Jan, identifying me as one of the group...I said, "I understand you met some of my 'sistas' last week in Indy???" He said, "oh yeah, the BOOB ladies..." then he gets this funny look...I just smile and say, "there's no good way to say that, is there...??" He is signing my CD cover, and I have him sign something for willow (thinking she'd missed him, little stinker! lol!) and then I ask for a pic, he says sure and gives me a little side hug (across the blasted table!) while my daughter takes the picture. Then I MAKE her take a pic with him, and I say to Elliott, this is my beautiful daughter, to which he responds, "Hello, beautiful daugher...." then, as I'm leaving, I pull a box (FULL box) of Emergen-C out of my purse and hand it to him saying, "Elliott, you have to take care of yourself, I heard you'd been under-the-weather..." He chuckles and thanks me. Then my beautiful, though much chagrined daugher says, "I can't believe you just did that!" to which I say, "I can't help it...I'm really just another little Jewish mama, and we have to take care of our boy!!" Even the security chuckled at that!!! He waved as we walked away...
I had my picture, my autograph, my moment...and he had something to help him during cold and flu season... LOL!!!

Thank you, mama4elliott!! That was thoughtful of you to give him the Emergen-C!! I have a box that I haven't used, thanks for reminding me to use it, lol! I guess, while you were at the merch line, I was sitting on the steps just waiting and people watching and wondering where Willow went. We will do better next time!
