I just got home about 40 minutes ago and immediately had to do my usual 3-way long distance chat with my 2 sisters (they're still talking to each other--I can hear them,though muffled, throught the speaker phone) and finally told them I had more important things to do :) .

There is no need for anyone to be worrying about Elliott. The crowd wasn't a sellout and might have been a little on the low side for the House of Blues but it was a good-time typical New Orleans crowd which left no doubt that Elliott was the main attraction.

I haven't even connected my camera to the computer yet. I'll be back when I can give the link to my full report which I'll put on my web site.

It's going to be a long story so it may take me a while.

It's only been a few months, but I had forgotten just how much work it is to get something into web page format. I have some pictures loaded and my page framed, so now I'm ready to start with the narrative.

I will say that if Elliott ever returns to New Orleans, and he said that he definitely wanted to, and you are going to be flying to a concert, New Orleans should be near the top of your list. One of my favorite quotes is from a friend who lived in New Orleans and one of her favorite sayings was "All you need for a parade in New Orleans is two people and one umbrella." :) The crowd clearly loved Elliott and made sure that he knew it. Of course he gave all of that love right back. This was my third concert this year and I hadn't seen Elliott in this kind of zone before. He was pure magic. And he has one new fan (my friend Helen who lives in Slidell and who is a phenomenal singer) who hears things I don't even know exist. She was totally wowed by Elliott.

When I met him at 'Ol Tune Saloon later that night I was sure to thank him for coming to New Orleans. Since the storm, a lot of singers and musicians avoid New Orleans like the plague. Even 311, who used to come to town at least once a year, decided to go to Baton Rouge instead.

Anyway, he was very sweet (I know.....that's a given!) and said how much he loved it here. He said he will definitely come back.

I am so happy to hear that this was one of his best performances. It was my first Elliott concert and I had been waiting to see him for two years. It was definitely worth the wait.

That is sad to hear of musicians, or anyone for that matter, that no longer want to go to NO. It provides me w/ the most memorable vacation I've ever taken and I can't wait to get back there sometime!

I was at this show and I still cant stop smiling. I was so close to the stage that I could touch it. I saw when E smiled . I had a chance to meet him before the show started by luck. I am so on cloud nine. He is so adorable I wanted to eat him up. Can somebody tell me how to get the photos from my camera phone to the computer. I am lost. Wait I also got a chance to meet Brandon(Crowe). Which was so cooool.

My friend and I arrived at HOB at about 5:45pm, and when we arrived the lady at the entrance told that we had just missed Elliott talking to his fans, and I felt crushed. So she told us we could go eat dinner and be the first to get to the stage and my friend decided she had another question for the lady at the entrance so we went back to the front and she smiled at me and said ,"there's Elliott". I was so excted but I didnt want to rush at him so I tried to calm my nerves before I walked over to him to ask for an autograph. He looked so adorable . He is so cute. My heart was beating so fast. I told myself that I wouldnt act all fangirly when and if I got a chance to see him. Well let me tell you that thought was great in theory but when I was standing a few feet in front of him all I was thinking about is giving him a big hug and kiss on the cheek of course. Wow! He felt soo good to actually touch . :thud: All I was thinking about is how when I first heard him sing and my heart skipped a beat and Ive been following his career ever since. He thanked me and took pics with me, and my friend who was so shy that she didnt want to ask him for a pic. I asked him would he be so kind as to take a pic with her and he agreed . He is kind and funny. :thud: :awe: There is much more to the recap , but I have to run do something I will be back to tell of my experience with Elliott.

I LOVE your recap! I'm so glad NO went well and that the experience was magical once again!

Now I can post some of the little tidbits here. I try to make my web page recaps appeal to a broader audience.

Here's an exchange with Elliott that still has me chuckling. I told him that my sister was a fan of his. But I also told him that when I sent my sister his CD that, after she heard it for the second time, she said "I didn't hate it as much as I did the first time I heard it." And Elliott's response; "Alright!!!! with a thumbs up! :rotfl: I went on to tell him that by the time I was visiting her and playing it every time we got in the car that she was singing along. And after the concert in Pittsburgh, she described his as "Happy cute." He really liked that and said "YES."

How's that for the epitome of positive thinking?

Thanks for the great recap full of details. Even with the HOB's "no picture" policy during the concert, you were still able to get some great shots beforehand.

Wonderful recap, Mar...a big hello to my lovely friend Danielle/AngEll!!! I also saw Elliott in a HOB (Dallas) and it was a sell-out, but still managed to feel intimate at the same time...I was a bit worried that the crowd seemed rather "mild mannered"...I shouldn't have worried...as soon as Elliott made an appearence, it was like someone breathed LIFE into everyone...electric is totally the right word...

Since I have a hard time in remembering even what I said, I'll just give my impressions and not even try to quote her. Like Stevie Wonder, she was impressed, majorly. :) The expression on her face was priceless when I told her that, while on Idol, a major criticism of Elliott was that he lacked charisma. Without going into specifics, during various songs or song segments before Elliott took the stage, I looked over to see her with her hands over her ears and her head bent. When I would glance her way while Elliott was singing I would get a nod of approval and often a big grin. As I said, in an earlier post, Elliott has a new fan.

I wish that I could see Elliott again. My friend and I were going to go to the show in Alabama tonight but unfortuanately we have to work. I want to just enjoy hm this time. No screaming or taking pics ...just listen. I wish that I could go back in time , so I could listen to every word he sang with out my hysterical screaming and me singing along. That is my regret. Hey guys there was soething else I wanted to ask E, but I was so overwhelmed by the experience of it all.. Do you guys think that he would record a live cd? I wish he would, he is absolutely amazing live. I lived in Italy when I first discoveredhim and I thought that I would never get a chance to see him , but I did. Maybe I will get another chance. I wanted to be so selfish with his time when I did finally see him outside his bus,but I knew better. I really wished I could just sit down and talk to him and ask him questions , and lsten intently to his responses.

He said absolutely he wants to record a live CD in the future at one point mentioned they may be recording various performances during this fall tour.

I was there with my twin sis!! I drove almost 400 miles there and almost 400 miles back...and I had to be back at work at 10 AM!!! It was so worth it though. :D I have lots of pics/videos to share. Elliott is so amazing.
