Is anyone going to this one?

Is anyone familiar with Jacksonville at all? It looks a little rough, but I kinda like it.

The logistics seem to work out pretty well for this one.

I don't know if any e-trainers are going, but if you are interested, I could probably be talked into it. I haven't even seen E yet (my night is this friday :awe: ) and am already looking for another venue. I'm very worried about PED. I'm guessing there might be a lot of military at this venue since it is close to 2 major bases and little else.

I'm thinking JAX is about a 3 hour drive for me and I would need to find childcare since my 15 yo will be on his way to Atlanta and my husband will be on his way back from Dallas. Norfolk on Sunday night would work better for me and I've been toying with that idea, too. However, I would need to get hotel room, etc...

Hope you decide to come to Norfolk! There is some concern about there not being a big enough crowd because the date got moved 4 times. We can use all the support we can get! It's going to be a good time, too!

What's PED?

I've got two different itineraries open right now. One that has me taking the red-eye out of Phoenix in the middle of the night (like 1am) Friday the 9th to Jacksonville. The other has me taking the red-eye out of Phoenix around the same time Sunday morning to Norfolk.

The problem lies in what to do with the BabyB. Friday night she could have a sleepover, but nobody's parents do school-night sleepovers yet, and the earliest flight I can get back into Phoenix leaves Norfolk at 6am.


Aaaargh.

DaddyB is off in San Diego for a month restoring power where the fires went through, so he's of no use to me. (Nice of me to whine, huh? He's off helping people who have no power and I'm mad that he's not home so I can fly off to see Elliott. It's a sickness, this thing.)

It would actually take less time for me to get to flippin' Hawaii than over to either of these shows! Good grief, I really must have something wrong in my head to be doing this.

Post Elliott Depression, of course.

Does BabyB have school that Monday? My kids have it off for Veteran's Day.

At this point, the *only* thing that's keeping me from going to Norfolk is that I don't want to go by myself. Of course, meeting a large group of strangers that I've only met on the internet is not considered "going by myself" ^_^ It's too far to go without spending the night so I would need to find an hotel or someone willing to room with me.

Oh Funny! Yes, we've discussed PED. In my confusion of places, and itineraries, I thought it was an airport code and then thought I was flying into the wrong one!

Good call on the school - I'll go check. That would be sweet.

EC has been forced into hiding due to her recent fame over her Elliott kiss, but I do know she wants one more too. (show, kiss, picture - just one more everything.)

So all I know is I'm going to one more between now and Norfolk. If those pesky trick-or-treaters would just go away, perhaps I could firm something up.

I figured the Norfolk show would be a madhouse, and that's why I wanted to go to Jacksonville. But at this point, it may be a matter of taking whatever I can get.

Ok..I can get into J'ville airport at 2:00pm on the 9th & can leave 11:00am the next morning ..so I just need a room... OR we can do Norfolk.
J'Ville...Norfolk..they both have Elliott..so it's all good for me!!

If y'all decide on Jax and if flying into Raleigh (RDU) makes it easier, I could be persuaded to pick you up on the way over to Jax. Mind you, that gesture is really showing the some e-train love, since I really hate picking people up at that airport. Not that it is hard to get to that airport, but it is hard to *find* people there. The last time I went there to pick up my sister and BIL we spent a good 15 minutes on our cells until visual contact was made. Well, at least I now seen pictures of both you and JackieB, though I must admit the most defining characteristic that I noticed for both of you was the "e-cessory" on your arm and/or cheek.....

We have enough points to get free rooms with either Holiday Inn or Hilton chain so maybe I'll peruse their websites for options (anything to put off cleaning house!)

I'd be flying into Jacksonville Airport...How far is that airport from Hooligan's?

14 miles, or 26 minutes according to mapquest. Taxis available.
