I got him as a "friend" yesterday...I think he's technically and soulfully awesome and was trying to compare him to E...like..why do I prefer E even though this guy is wonderful too?? Think that E just lays his heart right out for us to see/hear in every song...there is a quality of tenderness or depth of understanding that no one else quite owns...hard to figure what it is...think it is quintessential love...When E sings, he brings me to tears...not so for anyone else..Others can move me but not to the heights and depths like E always does...

I watched Ellen D's variety show and that was the first time I ever saw/heard Ryan Shaw sing. I was really impressed, he sang "We Got Love". I really like his soulful and effortless style. But the funny thing was, while watching Ryan's performance, I couldn't help but think of Elliott and, man, why is he not on this show instead?? lol.

thanks a lot for the link, Linda! I love his music and he's amazing! His music seems to have some kind of an old Motown vibe and his vocals and singing style seem to match this sound perfectly.

I am in love with his song "I am your man" on his myspace page. I really like his voice! :)
