Title: Elliott's Next Single...

stacia - November 10, 2007 07:19 PM (GMT)
What do you think it should be?

I personally think "You Are the One" could be the next big hit. It is beautiful. My favorite off the whole cd!

Sorry if wrong place to post but I'm just curious what everyone else thinks!

manyhappyreturns - November 10, 2007 07:31 PM (GMT)
I think that may be too personal for a single.he wrote it for jaime and that's probably why he doesn't do it at his live shows.Movin on should get another try.I think it woyuld do great.

cfans - November 10, 2007 07:34 PM (GMT)
After seeing and hearing the crowd reaction to "Moving On"at his concerts, I definitely think Elliott should release this as his next single.

georgiafan1 - November 10, 2007 07:37 PM (GMT)
"You Are The One" is one of my favorites too but after "Wait For You" and "One Word", I doubt that they would make it the third single.

I love, love, love "I'm The Man" and I would love for it to be the next single but I don't think it has a chance of being chosen.

"Train Wreck" would be a great next single. It shows off Elliott's writing skills and his beautiful voice.

"Free" would also be a great choice.

A remixed Movin On. One of the best tracks he's done, and he needs something upbeat and more vocally challenging to show off his skeelz.

Plus, thematically, I'd like to see something other than a devoted-to-you love song for the next release.

Variety is the spice and all . . .

jogr - November 10, 2007 08:26 PM (GMT)
My favorite is 'Free'

('Free' live http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wxqGlr5yes...elated&search=)

and 'You Are the One'.
Would love to hear one of them as a new single.

elliottisamazing - November 10, 2007 08:33 PM (GMT)
Train wreck is a good one.
or "Im the man"

thats my favorite

timbidd - November 10, 2007 08:41 PM (GMT)
I would like to see him release train wreck as next single and put it on a cd single with Sharing the Night Together or Whiter Shade Of Pale.

Hmmm - November 10, 2007 08:43 PM (GMT)
I also agree with "Movin' On." It is a great song and he needs to have an upbeat single so he doesn't get typecast as just a ballad guy.

My personal favorite is Alright.......I would love to see that as the next single. The crowd reaction is great on it at his concerts!

Movin On would be my next choice.

Both are great upbeat songs, which I feel should be next.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Geesh! Who remembers when singles were singles, and they had 2 sides???????? Wish that were the case, then we'd be up to # 5 and 6!
One of my favorites is I'll make you dance

ohioguy45780 - November 10, 2007 09:27 PM (GMT)
LOL.... I'm focusing on OW right now.

FWIW, I pick a remixed MO, using the "live" version production value with the CD smoothness.

jogr - November 10, 2007 09:52 PM (GMT)
I think that whatever it's going to be it should be live. They should let Elliott improvise.

sweetiesym - November 10, 2007 10:06 PM (GMT)
:elliottelliott: I also love You Are The One.It has a haunting melody and would take off as a wedding song for sure!!

mike83 - November 10, 2007 10:46 PM (GMT)
Movin' On is the next choice. I already planted it in E's head so don't anyone try to get it out of there lol

luvthatelliott - November 10, 2007 11:35 PM (GMT)

I really like "Alright", too. It's the only "lust" song on the CD and I can always go for a good dancible lust song.

Chloe, I've never heard "I'll make you dance"

idoletc - November 10, 2007 11:54 PM (GMT)
I really like "Sign Your Name", oh heck, any will be "Alright" :cheerleader1:

I love "sign your name"... wooo hoooo.... shows off Elliott's voice... and really has energy. Also love Alright, Your Are the One , etc. etc. etc. ..........and etc......

durden - November 15, 2007 12:59 AM (GMT)
I think their best bet would be to release a remixed version of MOVIN ON. But for purely selfish reasons, I would love for I'M THE MAN to be released. That song is just so great, but I just don't know how it will play on radio.

For a final single, I really hope they release TRAINWRECK. Quite frankly, that song is just too good to not be heard by a wider audience. I honestly think that it could be the true hit on the album, questions about its radio-friendliness notwithstanding.

Gr8MusicIsMedicine - November 15, 2007 03:47 PM (GMT)
I actually would vote for the orginal Movin On. I've read a couple posts on here that talked about the timing being off among other things... But it sounds perfect on the album i purchased, I love it... Now, Let Your Heart Lead... is an altogether different story. It honestly sounds completely unfinished..... it starts abruptly and the timing is choppy, and for that reason this is the one song id say should never be released unless it gets "fixed"

mel0207 - November 15, 2007 05:24 PM (GMT)
After Wait For You and One Word, an upbeat song seems in order. Movin' On would be my first choice and second would be Trainwreck.

Eventually I'd like to see You Are The One out there too. I love this song and think a lot of people who don't know about it would too.

A remix of I'm In Love With You Forever would be good too. I love the original and the sped up version he sang at A Capital Fourth.

There's so many good ones it's hard to choose, but an upbeat one seems most likely.

Can't believe I forgot about
"Sharing the Night Together"

He sounds sooooo GOOD on that one!!! :awe:

Love to watch his "dance moves" he does at his concerts!! :thud:

silverwhite - November 16, 2007 12:14 PM (GMT)
Believe or a reworked Movin' On.

feaqs - November 16, 2007 10:22 PM (GMT)
For me, it depends on if the song is taken off the CD...or if the song would be re-recorded from a live event etc.

If from the album only...then Train Wreck. But if they would release a re-recorded single...done live to capture Elliotts true essence...then I'd pick FREE. That song has a totally different feel hearing E sing it live than it does recorded in the studio. It's uptempo, with a postive message...soulful, but not so overtly R&B'ish so that POP radio stations would turn away from it.
