Hey everyone!
I love reading all the recaps-- and I'm sorry i have been lazy-but here is my recap and pics; Hope you like it!
We originally were not going to go to Harrisburg-- Thursday, 2 1/2 hours away, 3 kids, school-- but then I found out mY KIDS HAVE NO SCHOOL THAT DAY OR THE NEXT--so we rushed to get tix-- but they didnt have much left. I ended up getting balcony-- 1st row for the kids-- my husband and I right behind them. The website states that no seat is more than 65 feet away from the stage-- so I thought-- how bad could it be?
We got there at around 4-- I am so used to getting to shows early because all of them have been SRO-- and of course I wanted to find the bus! :fangirly:
We parked in the parking garage and walked through the Whittaker Center-- it is a childrens museum I think-- and then went down this big flight of stairs (picture a hotel lobby-- that is what this place looks like)-- and who is standing in the lobby-- JOSH HOGE. :awe: All alone in the lobby. No one was there but some people from the radio station. Weird.
I adore Josh. I am so grateful to E for introducing us to him and his music. He seemed to remember us-- I do go to some shows with Priscilla and Kim-- HUGE fans of his-- so he probably remembered me from that-- plus I had the kids with me-- so we are easy to remember-- not many people bring a 5 (now 6) year old to a concert. We hung out with him for awhile-- he is sweet as can be-- and talked about his new deal and the Geico thing. He took a pic with us- and then went to do some things-- but we saw and spoke to him many times that evening. He is extremely accessable. (we need a Josh smiley)

We then spoke to his cousin/road manager Zack. He is also a sweetie. I had met him when I went to Lancaster with Priscilla and Kim. He gave the kids a CD because I said I had worn mine out-- plus we bought some pics and Josh signed them for us. All this time-- the radio staion guy announced that he had a pair of tickets that he was giving away-- and for about an hour NO ONE CLAIMED THEM. Again--weird. I kept trying to get the radio guy to get me meet and greet tix-- but he wouldnt--boo hiss.He kept saying he had to talk to his boss. And-- all of this time-- we were one of very few people in the lobby.
This is Zack:

All of a sudden-- I see Sway walking in this roped-off area-- and start waving at him like a mad woman-- and he is waving back like he knows me-- which of course he doesnt. I guess I was so enthusiastic-- he came down to meet us! I guess at this point in my life I have no shame-- BE (before Elliott) I never would have waved at someone I only knew from TV. He is adorable. I loved his voice on the show-- and told him. I also told him how glad we were that he had joined the tour. He thanked us profusely-- he really seems thrilled to be there.
He was also back and forth many times in the lobby and still very few fans. Very very weird.

Zack then told us that the bus was around the corner and that E would probably go out to the bus in a little bit-- you dont have to tell me twice-- we were out the door in record time.
No one was there--just the big beautiful bus that has brought me many happy memories in past months-- because of pics and memories beside it. All of a sudden-- this guy comes walking down the street by himself-- from opposite the hall-- and he has a hoodie on pulled all the way down on his face. I'm thinkin--Nah--couldnt be? But I am sitting on this low ledge and am practically turning myself upside down to see who is under this hood that is walking by me-- I had to have looked like an idiot :rotfl: -- and it was HIM-- poor guy was wiping his nose with a tissue. I quietly said Hi Elliott--he said Hi as he passed-- i think he was going to the meet and greet. He did Hi-5 my husband and kids as he passed them-- they were lucky enough to be standing further down the street.
Then-- there was this weird guy standing with me all of a sudden-- dressed in a trenchcoat and hat--creepy looking-- and I remembered him as the SLEEZE from Lancaster. He had E sign about 15-20 pics in Lancaster-- and sweet E signed them all-- and then I saw them selling on EBAY! I hate that someone would take advantage of E's good heart like that.. GGRRRRR. I asked him-- were you in Lancaster-- just to be sure-- and he said--Yes I was. I was so angry that I really wanted to say something to him-- but I held back -but I felt GGGRRRR. (I did make sure when E came back that this guy didnt get near him for long-- LOL) Dont mess with my E!
Then I saw Carole (Itslate) and her son Danny. We hugged and chatted-- and then it gets blurry for me. E came back out and sweetly took pics with us-- I asked if he was ok-- and he said a little stuffy but fine-- I felt bad that I was taking up any of his time but he just, of course, said no problem at all. Carole gave him a gift-- I do remember that-- it was really sweet of her and you could see how much he appreciated it. I dont think Creepy guy got many autographs-- it was chilly and E got inside the bus pretty quickly. I love these pics-- thanks carole for takin the one of all of us.

Then Russell and Aaron and Sway hung out and talked to us and Carole and her son-- I think Aaron is truly one of the nicest people I have ever met. He actually said to me-- I remember you guys-- Philly--right? He was right!! We talked to him and Sway about the Phillipines trip even though Sway didnt go (but he is Filipino so he knew lots of things). Scary thing-- Aaron told us that a few days after they left they Phillipines-- a bomb went off in the exact place they had been. It was not meant for them-- they just have trouble in that country with terrorism as well. I love these guys:

We then joked around with Russell-- I told him he better watch out-- his tough guy image was in trouble because I had seen lots of pics of him with big wide adorable smiles on his face-- he laughed and said---uh oh-- I better watch that. He is too funny! These guys really took the time to talk to us-- and as a fan-- they probably had no idea how much we appreciated that!
You guys already heard how good the concert was-- so I wont go too much into that. This was my 5th E concert-- and I am just blown away by him. You dont think he could possibly get any better-- and then he proves you wrong. If I hadnt met him before the show, I never would have know he had a cold. His voice is PERFECT-- just perfect. The soul, the emotion, the feeling-- he truly gives his all. I am thrilled that he did all of my family's favorites-- my husband's favorite is I'm the man, My favorites (besides every song) is take My Breath Away and Sharin the Night, my 12 year old's is Free, the 9 year old loves wait for You and One Word, and the 6 year old's favorite is I'm In Love With You Forever-- so everyone was happy-- not that we wouldnt have been anyway-- WE WERE AT AN ELLIOTT/Josh CONCERT people-- LOL.
I thought Josh was increible as usual-- why is this guy's career not bigger? He is so talented-- hopefully his new deal will pan out for him and he will finally get the recognition he deserves. I was only disappointed that his set was way too short. WAY TOO SHORT. Loved his new song. I felt bad that the audience didnt show him as much love as us E-Trainersa did-- although he did reel them in at the end with Aint No Sunshine. He is funny and personable and talented (and really cute).
The Last Goodnight was good-- but I am not into that kind of music-- I listen to it but dont know if i would pay for it. The lead singer seemed really nervous. I do think they have talent, but their set was LONG (longer than Josh's).
They seemed really appreciate to be on the tour. Again-- they were really good, but I felt like they took some of Josh's time.
E was incredible, amazing, perfect, energetic, his voice melts me--I dont know what else to say. Those who have seen him perform-- you know what I mean-- he leaves me speechless.
I have to say-- what an extremely weird crowd!! You know that most of those people were only there to hear Wait For You. The couple next to us left-- yes I said LEFT- after Wait For You. I have never heard an audience this quiet between songs-- for all 3 performers-- you could have heard a pin drop in this place. Just very odd.
After the show, we went down to the lobby and were talking to Joonie-- who I hadnt seen before-- and then I went to ask Josh a question-- he was standing near the merch tables. All of a sudden a scream went up-- E had come out to the merch table-- I was just in the right place at the right time-- or the wrong place. I got a quick pic of E-- he looked exhausted-- but wanted to let other people meet him and get things signed. No one would move to let me OUT. And I needed to go because we had a LONG drive home. After saying excuse me-- I'm getting OUT several times-- I just pushed. Sorry if I pushed anyone I know. Look how tired this poor guy is:

It was great seeing and getting hugs from all of the E-Trainers-CFans, Doreen and your whole clan, lauren and Denise, Carole- you guys are the best! See you in Allentown. :rocker: Sorry this was so long-- when I write-- I cant stop-- LOL.
