Title: Allentown - A Day I Will Never Forget!
Description: Simply the Best!

cfans - November 13, 2007 01:48 PM (GMT)
I can only steal away from work for a few mintues, but I wanted to give a little teaser about my day in Allentown yesterday. Suffice it to say, that it just blew away any Elliott experience I have ever had. Thank you Chloe (Carol) for talking the radio station into a couple of extra tickets for the private concert, which you gave to Itslate. Thank you Itslate (Carole) for giving me your second ticket. Thank you Carole, Carole and Robyn (and Aunt Sheryl) for talking me into staying for the "real" concert last night. I got to my hotel in DC a little after 4 o'clock this morning, but it was so worth it!

We have all said it, but I have to say it again. Elliott Yamin in one of the most decent, kindest, nicest human beings on the face of the earth.

He got to the Brewery in Allentown for his mid-day private concert just having found out about it. In fact, he had been woken up with the news that he was supposed to be there. He could have cancelled - after all, he was completely and utterly exhausted, he has that darn cold, and he wasn't aware that he had agreed to perform. He looked chilled to the bone when he walked in, and the bags under his eyes had bags. But perform he did! And he stayed around and talked to everyone there - at least an hour or more after he had finished singing his four songs.

But first, he came over to the table where we were sitting (Carol, Carole, Aunt Sheryl, Robin and I), and walked around touching the back or shoulder of all us and talked to us. After singing and signing autographs and taking pictures with the small crowd (about 30 or so), he spent about a half-hour with the five of us. And that was just the beginning of our day with Elliott! There is so much more to tell!

Gotta run - but a really cute thing happend at the Brewery. Russell was hurriedly downing a cup of coffee. Before he was able to finish, Elliott had sat down on the stool in front of the microphone, signalling that he was ready to begin. Russell came over to our table, put his coffee cup down in front of us and asked us if it was okay if he left it there. We all grinned at him like, "yeah, like we wouldn't let you let us hold your coffee cup"; and then looked at each other like "do you think we could steal the cup and sell it on ebay?"

:rotfl:

I have no doubts you ladies could rake in some moolah for a cup Russell drank from.

Hate that Elliott is sick with a cold that won't quit. Lord willing, he will be over it soon. How awesome that you all got a private show! Chloe, I swear, your good fortune is truly magic. People are gonna wanna start rubbing your head to try & get some of it!

Looking foward to the rest of the emazing recap cfans!!

One more thing I wanted to add. As far as decent, wonderful, caring people go, Josh is right up there with Elliott. I didn't get to talk to him all day, and just as I was leaving, he came over to me, told me it was great to see me again and gave me a hug :awe: . With all the young beautful women hanging around him (you know who you are SILs!), it totally shocked me (in a good way, of course) and made my happy day even better!

Thanks for the tidbits cfans. And thanks for the call yesterday Chloe - I almost didn't believe you when you said they were doing a lunch show - don't know where they get the energy to even breathe.

I'm so glad that the Carol, Carole, Carolyn trio and Sheryl and Robyns got the special preshow experience!

thanks cfans.......can we be any more impressed with Elliott's love, hard work an dedication than we already are? Also those wonderful people he is surrounded by, Josh and the band. They are just absolutely the greatest people ever, as are his wonderful fans.

I have those same symptoms, but unfortunately he didn't catch it from me, since I didn't get close enough to pass the germs on Friday in Harrisburg.

:rotfl:

Elliott - I am right there with ya - I have a cold I cannot shake. But I keep on plugging away.

Get well soon.

omigod we left the cup there!!!
Russell was so adorable!!! At one point he came over to me and laid his head on my shoulder and said"mom, i need some sleep".
Then later on in the day, we saw him in the dry cleaners for quite some time. When he came out, I asked him what he was doing in there so long, and he said he needed to get a button sewed on his coat, at which point, 5 of us all said the same thing"see you need us moms here! Cfans then proceeded to get in his face :rotfl: , and say "I have a sewing kit right here in my purse".

and robyn"Ed, Edd & Eddy, SIL's (you guys know what those initials could stand for-- LOL), Auntie S (you're my hero)-- I cant thank you guys enough for the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE

Maybe we ought to start running a "stupid smile" contest, cause I just bet there's a lot of them going around today!!! :rotfl:

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies!

Wow! You know who you 6 are!!! Last night was AMAZING!!!! I'm so glad we got to finally "meet" you guys, and STILL can not believe how much fun we had! I will NEVER forget last night!

I won't have time to write my recap today, hopefully tomorrow afternoon I will:)

Words can not describe how awesome you ladies are, and how awesome Elliott is!!

Thanks for the recap, I didn't even get to look at my pictures yet!

Talk to you all soon!

psugal4elliott - November 13, 2007 08:30 PM (GMT)
Oh, I wish I could've hung around with you guys, too! My mom and I had a great time as well, but she's not much into hanging around and meeting Elliott, the band, etc. I wondered what was up with him at the luncheon--he didn't seem quite himself at first. I kept on telling my mom that I think he just woke up. I really would have liked to have stuck around to chat with all of you more, but had to get back to pick up my son from school. The concert was AMAZING. We stood up above the floor, right along the railing. It was a perfect spot, and I had lots of room to dance! He sounded incredible--I thought the sound was a lot better than Philly this past summer. He also harmonizes perfectly with Sway. The whole band was so into it. I couldn't believe how far he has come with working the crowd, even since last May. I love how he did that little kick at the end of a couple of the songs and how he got the crowd singing on WFY and OW. I really like Sharing the Night and the little dance at the beginning. Everything was perfect. I can't wait to hear more about your night!

chloewannabee - November 13, 2007 09:32 PM (GMT)
Amy!
I kept looking for you, but never saw you. We were right in the center at the railing. It was so nice to meet you and your mom at the luncheon. Wasn't the mini concert great!!!!
Hope to see you again sometime

Continuation of my Allentown recap . . .

The crowd was pretty small at the Brewery for the private concert. I got the impression that most who were there were more casual fans of Elliott's - those who liked "Wait For You" and maybe remembered him from American Idol, but didn't know much about him other than that. Another E-trainer, Amy, (PSUgal4Elliott), who was there with her mom, stopped by our table when she realized we were more of the "rabid" type fans and introduced herself.

There was a nice free buffet at the restaurant - sandwich wraps, a pasta salad, and baked ziti, with cookies for desert. Also, all the soft drinks and iced tea we could drink. At one point, we realized they were playing music, but not Elliott's. So, I got out my trusty Elliott CD and walked it over to the guy who was running the soundboard. He had never heard Elliott sing, but said that he wasn't sure that he (E) would like to have his own CD played before singing live. (I guess that's true for so-called singers who can't sing live - they certainly wouldn't want their voices compared.) But I assured him that, since Elliott sounds even better live, there would be no problem at all. After checking with his boss, he agreed to play the CD.

The entire CD played and still no Elliott. The radio station DJs came up and announced that Elliott was running late, but would be there in about 10 minutes. They had some other CDs to give away as prizes, and decided to have a contest to fill up the time. Chloe and Robyn both won CDs. You would think that these radio geniuses would have thought to bring along some Elliott CDs, but that would have been stretching their brain cells a little. (Sorry, but the guy DJ really, really really annoyed me later on - he was a real smarta**, someone I would classify as a creep - huge ego, but nothing going on to justify it.)

So, I'm looking around the restaurant, and all of a sudden I see this guy walking in with a woollen cap pulled way down over his ears and a heavy sweater. I stand up and start applauding - it's Elliott. Our table gives whoops and hollars and the rest of the attendees are kind of dumbfounded as to what's going on. I guess we all expected Elliott to be escorted in with some kind of announcement. I tell you, I'm just not that impressed with the staff at B104. Maybe Elliott prefers it this way, but it just felt awkward seeing him walk in alone and unsure what was going on. As I stated earlier today, Elliott was surprised by a wake-up call that he was due to be at the restaurant for a private concert. I'm sure he got cleaned up and dressed in a hurry and hightailed it over to the restaurant. He sat down at a table all by himself near the back and looked so tired. His Aunt Sheryl, who was with us, went over to him then and he stood up, gave her a hug and a kiss, and told her how tired he was. Seeing her, though, really seemed to pep him up.

Shortly after Sheryl came back to our table (right in front of the room). Elliott came over and greeted each of us in turn, remembering us all. He told us that he had no idea he was supposed to be there until he woke up. My heart broke because I could see in his face and in his demeanor how exhausted he was. After another few minutes he walked over to the DJs to have a few words with them. Then he sat down on the stool. That's when Russell came over to us with his coffee cup.

As soon as Elliott opened his mouth, all traces of any huskiness in his voice or being tired drained away. He never took off his cap, but his sweater came off after the first song. He sang four of songs and he was absolutely amazing. At one point, he was coughing, so I went to the bar and got him a glass of water. He took the glass from me and looked me in the eyes and smiled, and I'm surprised I made it back the two steps to the table without stumbling. At one point while he was singing he blew a kiss to Aunt Sheryl. I almost started to cry at that.

Elliott was so generous in his praise of B104. You would have thought that they were single-handedly responsible for getting him a gold record. He also thanked everyone for coming and supporting him. The DJs then announced that Elliott would be signing autographs and taking pictures.

We decided to wait until everyone else had their turn with Elliott. In the meantime, we spent some time talking to Aaron, Russell, and John, Elliott's road manager. Robyn had something special for Elliott and the band and wanted to know the best way to get it to them. John suggested that she bring it to the bus, which was parked three blocks away in front of the Croc (the club where the night's concert was being held), and call him when she got there.

So then we had our time with Elliott. As I said, he spent a lot of time with us. It was like he wasn't at all tired, wasn't sick and just wanted to hang around. After many pictures all around, we decided to walk away to give him some room. I took the time to ask the male DJ if he would please play "One Word". The guy was a real jerk. Because I didn't want to embarrass Elliott or the E-train, I kept my cool (well, pretty much anyway), and just walked away.

Linda4Elliott - November 13, 2007 10:20 PM (GMT)
wonderful conclusion cfans, Thanks!!...except the nasty dj.........ggrrrrr...sounds like they handled things very unprofessionally.

Do you guys have any pictures from this lunch? I gave Elliott a hat at the NorVa the night before (he needs another one, right?? :rotfl: ) I was just wondering if he could have been wearing it. If you don't have pics, would you mind telling me the color?

There's much more recap to come . . .

Carol (itslate) has a link to the private concert pictures from the radio station in her topic in the Concert Pix thread.

The last part of my recap . . .

We went outside the restaurant trying to decide what to do next. It was not yet 3 o'clock and the doors to the Croc wouldn't be opening until at least 6 or so. Robyn and I went to get her special something from her car and then walked to the club. When we got to the bus, John was outside, so we gave it to him. I still had not yet decided if I was going to stay for the concert (I had an 8 am meeting in DC the next morning), but realized I would kick myself forever if I didn't stay. We decided to move our cars closer to the club (there was a government parking lot across the street that was empty because it was Veterans Day), and Chloe and Aunt Sheryl drove us back to where we had parked our cars and we moved all them.

Shortly after we moved our cars, the SILs (Lauren and Denise) joined us. It was wonderful to meet them and it was like we had all been friends for years. They are the two I talked about in my Harrisburg recap who were up dancing the whole time. So, we're all standing in the parking lot just talking and taking more pictures and look across the street toward the bus. It's now about 4 o'clock or so. There's Elliott walking into the Subway Restaurant (which was next door to the club). There is no other pedestrian traffic anywhere. We decide to leave him alone (even though we had just a minute earlier decided to use the rest room in the Subway) because we didn't want him to think we were stalking him. He brought out his sub to eat in the bus. A little later, Sway does the same thing. We waited again and lost track and thought he had left the restaurant, so we go across. We're standing in the middle of the place, and Sway comes around the corner. Woah, we really took him by surprise. Seven rabid women descending on him. No, no really. We politely said hello, talked to him for a quite a little while, and he got out safe and sound.

Actually, the Subway is not next-door to the club. There is a dry cleaners between the two of them. While still in the Subway, I had seen Russell walk in the dry cleaners. It turns out that he was getting a button sewn back onto his coat. Russell, Russell, Russell, don't you realize that a lot of us E-trainers are moms, and are ready for any emergency? I could have taken care of that so easily. In fact, I noticed that he had a large rip in his jeans (at the knee, ladies, calm down!) and offered to fix it for him. His expression was priceless because he thought I was serious! I did raise teenagers into young adults and I know how precious those ripped jeans are.

We had found out that by going through the pizza shop on the other side of the club, we could get into the concert a little earlier than waiting on the street. A few minutes earlier Chloe had called John and asked if we could get into the sound check. He told her he would meet us at the doors from inside the pizza place. A couple of us bought some pizza and we sat down as close to the doors as we could get. We could hear music coming from the club, but it wasn't Elliott's. Some of the guys from The Last Goodnight came in and I said hello to Skeeter (the drummer). He seemed thrilled to be recognized. Trey (Josh's guitarist) was also hanging around. We felt so very special. After a while it sounded like Elliott was starting to warm up, so we walked through the double doors and into the club.

At first, we hung in the back at the tables. Josh was sprawled in one of the chairs there just chilling. Looking at the stage, I saw Elliott pick up one of the electric guitars. He hunched down with the guitar across the bottom of his legs and started playing with the chords. Then more and more chords - it was really sounding good. I fumbled for my camera because I wanted to take a video to capture the sound. It was so dark in there, though, that you couldn't see faces clearly, and we were still pretty far away from the stage. By the time I got the right buttons pushed on my camera, he had stopped playing. He started again, but this time it was just chords that didn't form any melody. When I get back home at the end of the week, I'll post it if it comes out at all (didn't bring my camera/computer connector with me on this business trip).

We slowly inched our way up closer to the stage. But E only stayed up there for a few minutes. Once he moved off (we wanted to give him his space), we went all the way up to front and center to stake out our place for the night. We stayed there for The Last Goodnight's sound check.

People were starting to line up inside the pizza shop. A barrier was put up inside the doors to keep everyone out. Another line was forming outside on the sidewalk. Meanwhile, we seven had the run of the place while the crew was finishing setting up. I had introduced myself to the bouncer earlier in the evening, and he was as nice as he could be to us. He treated us like VIPs.

The doors were opened just after 7 o'clock and people literally ran to get to the stage. Chloe had gone off to the ladies room and we six spread out to save her place. It wasn't until nearly 8 o'clock that Josh finally appeared. He is starting to make a name for himself and he came on to lots of screams (or was that me?). He was freaking fantastic. He told the same stories he told in Harrisburg, but he reworded some things. Trey really cracks up at his jokes. Later on in the evening, he was asked about it, and he replied that "Josh is really funny, man". By the way, I asked Josh later if he is writing the duet for him and Elliott (on his CD), and he said "no"; that it would be a cover. He didn't say what it was, and I got the feeling that he didn't know yet. Trey wore a black shirt with a picture of a caveman on it. Later on, we noticed a speaker had been pushed to the back of the stage with the same picture taped to it.

The Last Goodnight had a great set too. I'm not a big fan of their first song, but I absolutely love their new one, "One Trust", I think it's called. When Kurtis leaned over the stage, he was literally inches from us. Lauren (one of the SILs) had one of Chloe's buttons in her hand and she almost pinned it to Kurtis's tie when he did that. Later on when he was told about the button, he laughed and said that he wished she had done it. "Pictures of You" was fabulous. I was afraid I was going to be disappointed because I had loved it so much in Harrisburg, but I surely wasn't.

After the crew cleared off The Last Goodnight's equipment, a B104 DJ came out to welcome the crowd. He was not the same as the one from the Brewery. This guy actually encouraged us to call like mad for "One Word". He also wanted to know where Elliott's fan club was (he heard we were in the house.) He didn't have any trouble finding us because we were right there in front of him screaming.

Elliott didn't go on until nearly ten. He came out wearing a red baseball cap (I think it was the Phillies), but took it off immediately. Yes! The curls! He also took off the striped sweatshirt he had on and showed off this beautiful red and blue short-sleeved t-shirt. Wow, he looked gorgeous! After his second or third song, he wanted to know where his E-train ladies were - yeah, right, like he couldn't see us just inches away from him! Nice to get that shout-out from him though. He also wanted to know where Aunt Sylvia was, and blew her a couple of kisses. He also had some cousins in the audience and wouldn't give up until he knew exactly where they were standing.

At the beginning of "Wait For You", I felt someone pushing me really hard. These two girls who were very drunk had pushed up as far as they could get. But they weren't getting past Carole (itslate) and me. We stood our ground. Well they kept throwing their arms around, pointing at Elliott in the space between Carole and me and just being greatly annoying. At one point one bonked me in the head, I turned around, glared, and she apologized. They eventually went away when they saw they weren't going to get any further.

I was disappointed in the crowd after Elliott left the stage after "Moving On". They were so quiet. Not like the usual noise, clapping, stomping, and chanting you hear while waiting for an encore. We started doing a chant, but after a while, my throat got sore and I gave up. Elliott came out to almost dead sound. But as soon as he jumped back on stage, the crowd woke up.

He had forgotten to do his little talk about the fundraiser he's doing with the shirt and circle pin, so he did it before he started ASFY. I liked that because it got the crowd really really quiet and attentive. He was amazing as usual. I swear, I could hear him sing that song hundreds of times a day for thousands of days and I would never tire of it.

Then it was over. I was almost content to just put on my coat, find my car keys and start the drive to DC. But I hung around a little while because I had had such a good time with my E-train friends all day that I didn't want it to end. We stood near the merchandise table while the crowd got thinner and thinner. Robyn went up to the bar and bought bottles of water for everyone in our group. We toasted to her "best day of my life, ever". Eventually, the bouncer made an announcement that Elliott's family was to go downstairs for a private meeting. Aunt Sylvia went down and took Carol with her. The bouncer asked me if I knew where the cousins were and I looked around a bit but didn't find them. I stood talking to the SILs for a while and then John (road manager) went through again looking for the cousins. They were no-where to be found. Carole (itslate) wanted a slice of pizza so the rest of us moved toward the connecting door. That's when Josh came over and gave me the hug.

I stood a little longer in the pizza shop saying my last goodbyes and then went out the door. As I was approaching the bus, I saw the cousins. I told them that Elliott was looking for them. They thought they were supposed to wait by the bus and that is why they went outside immediately after the encore. I told them that they had to go downstairs and when they said they didn't know where the staircase was, I told them I would show them. I ran into John on the way and told them that I had found the cousins. He said to me, "well, take them downstairs, please." He didn't have to tell me twice. I escorted them downstairs and into the room where Elliott was finishing up talking to a young boy and his father. Sylvia and Carol were there too. I stood over by them while Elliott greeted his family (with warm hugs and kisses) and then he grabbed me by the arm and greeted me too.

I took a picture of the family and then stood by while everyone was talking. Right before they left (and they were there about 15-20 minutes) we were all drawn into a circle and Elliott was to my left. It was an amazing experience. One of the cousins had a friend with her and she had Elliott leave a message on her sister-in-law's answering machine. She said that when her SIL picked it up, they were going to have to call the paramedics. Elliott laughed so hard at that. Just after they left (with lots more hugs and kisses), my phone rang. It was my daughter. She wanted to know where I was and what I was doing, and I just said, "hold on". I put Elliott on the phone and he talked to her! He wanted to know why she wasn't there with me and that she should come with me next time.

Well, we talked a little more. And then we tore ourselves away. It was just the four of us there. Once again, Elliott acted like he had all he time in the world. He pulled me into a great big hug - just like the kind I would see him give out when he was on AI. I had gotten hugs from him before, but nothing like that. As we turned away, he said to us, "goodbye; thanks for coming; thanks for everything; I love you! I said, "I love you too Elliott and floated up the steps.

Awww Thanks Cheryl, maybe tomorrow I'll have my voice back, and we can actually talk.

Ummmm, what Cheryl means by Queen for a Day, was exactly that! She didn't want to stand for 8 hours like the rest of us, HA!so since we were inside the venue soooooooo early( 5ish, the sils-denise and lauren, commandeered a bar stool for her and moved it right up to the front row, where she had the best seat in the house! It was hysterical, every time we looked over at her she gave us one of those "queen " waves.

It was the bestest night and day EVER!!!!!

Thanks for the wonderful heart warming recap! I felt like I was with you!! I could go to an Elliott concert everyday if this body could take it. I still haven't recovered from Sunday. I can only add 1 more very special thing that happened while we were downstairs. While Elliott was signing the 10 year old boy's tee shirt, I handed the boy an Elliott button. The mom said to me"are you a relative?", and Elliott looked up at her and said " no, that's my friend, Carol. "
Well that surely put the icing on the most wonderful cake of the day!

OOPS cfans, you forgot to tell when we were sitting in the bar next to the pizza place, Elliott walked in casual as all get- out, and came over to our table and hung around talking for a bit, before he went in to sound check

lovingelliottinPa - November 14, 2007 01:32 PM (GMT)
cfans.....You have the BEST recaps!!!

I feel like it just happened all over again!

I still can not get over how AWESOME that day was! I don't think I ever will!!!
You 6 ladies were the best, and made the night EVEN better!!!

The only thing I can add to the recap is, While josh was on :awe: he did his bit about anyone being on their first date, I didn't scream this time, but I made a gesture, and he looks down and says...no you're not, you're on your second date! It was so funny! Then he gave us one of his wonderful beautiful smiles.

Then while The Last Good night was on, he mentioned something about women- I forget the what he said- but I of course let out a yell, he looks down, laughs and says..."you know what I'm talking about....wait....weren't you ever like forever...like during sound check?" I smiled shook my head and said YEP! (at that time we had been standing there for about 3-4 hours...LOL) then he says...man, I wish I had a pin...then starts siging. Then, like Cfans mentioned, during one of their songs, we came done RIGHT IN FRONT of me and Denise and stood up on a step singing, his arms were flying around and spit was also going everywhere! But he almost knocked us out! LOL it was so funny, Carol had given me one of the E pins, and I picked up his tie, but he was moving around SO much I was afraid I was going to stick him!

While Carol & Auntie Sheryl were downstairs we were talking to Curtis and I told him what I was going to do, he laughs and says- " that would have been so cool!" we laughed. Told them they were good. He said we should check them out the next night in Lancaster (where we are from) we didn't tell him, but b/c Josh wasn't going to be there, we weren't going. We also got to talk to Josh for a long time, he is just SO sweet! Ladies....remember the signing of the button??? Yikes! I will NEVER forget!!!

Then after everyone pretty much left, and after we said goodbye to Carole(itslate) and cfans :( we headed to Robyn's car to get our coats. We weren't reading to leave just yet, so we said our goodbyes to Robyn :( and headed back to the bus. There was a few ladies out there, and as time went on, they started to twindle down. Then walking out we see Auntie Sheryl, Carol and Carolyn. They had just finished with Elliott. We said our goodbyes to them :( and out walking as fast as lightning was Elliott. He hopped on the bus, but says he'll be right back. The ladies leave, it's a little after midnight. Then he walks back out, wool hat pulled down to his eyes, and his heavy coat. He starts giving hugs, signing things and taking pictures. When it gets to our turn, he yells....heeeeyyyy! (like he remembered us!!!!) We were like hell yeah! LOL he signed our buttons, gave us both hugs and we were telling him how awesome he was, I asked him how the Etrainers did in the front row.....I told him we were "representin'!" he just laughed and said we were great! Then as we were leaving we told him we were hoping to be at New York, he says yeah, me too....then I laugh and say...I HOPE you are going to be there! He just starting laughing.

OMG it was the BEST night!

Ladies.....I could never Thank you enough for the great time, and I am SOOOOOO looking forward to our next meeting up, I hope it'll be next week in NY!

You all are so great! Words can not even begin to describe..... I Love you all!!!

Auntie Sheryl...I'm so glad we made you feel like the queen!!!.... but that's what you were! Elliott was so glad to see you up front! no way were we going to let you sit in that back!!! I was so glad to have met you!

OMG, how embarrassing. I know her name is Cheryl - why I typed Sylvia is totally beyond me. I think I'm going to dig a hole and hide.

Carolyn what a great recap! It was all such a blurr to me, I'm glad you put it into words lol. I'm still recouping. Wow on the family meeting!

Auntie Cheryl... you were the Queen! May I add it was so very nice to meet you (picture of E on it's way via email). You and E are so down to earth! I felt like I've known you forever.

Here's that picture of Lauren and Denise with Curtis nearly on their feet lol.

Oh and it was me Carolyn who won that CD from b104. Alicia Keys and I'm loving it. Thanks Carol for that horseshoe here, I'm never lucky.

Linda here is the hat, those pics are on the last page... photobucket always puts them in reverse.

I'm still working on getting those videos up from B104, darn it for some reason all the video sites and my programs are having trouble converting them.

cfans, that was just a heart warming, wonderful recap. I met Elliott in Norfolk (my first opportunity). He was the same Elliott I have come to love and admire from the days of AI. He gives every single fan the same amount of time and puts every ounce of his heart and soul into his performances. I would have loved to have been able to talk to him without feeling like I was being rushed but I knew there were so many that wanted their time with him too. I hope I get that opportunity when I see him again in February. Speaking of his 'Auntie Sheryl', I met her this past May at the Innsbrook concert but she probably doesn't remember. Maybe I'll run into her again soon. :elliottelliott:

Please..wish you would put names with the pictures...there are still some faces I'm not sure of! Thanks!!

Thank you! It was an extraordinary day and experience for me. Not only because of getting up close and personal but also because I got to spend the day with six truly wonderful ladies.

I've been very lucky in being at the right place at the right time. I don't understand it, but I sure hope that whatever lucky star is over my head, it never fades.

:cheerleader1: Yeh hal! another great recap. It looks cold in DC. (oops) allentown.
But, looks hot on stage!! great pics! Elliott has alot of good friends.

robyns - November 14, 2007 09:08 PM (GMT)
Cfans-- you did such a great recap that I really dont want to write my own-- it would just be redundant and you have such a way with words-- but I do remember something else that I have to add:
During the soundcheck--E was playing on the guitar and they were having trouble with the sound (all of the bands/singers were) and all of a sudden I heard E sing a few bars of Turn Off The Lights by Teddy pendergrass-- I pretty much had to scrape myself up off the floor after I heard that==sigh

:woohoo: :thud: :yummy:

Well I must say-I have been thinking of exactly what to put in a recap but you ladies got it covered. Allentown was one of the best nights of my entire life (I would say best but my husband might read this ha ha ha)

Sharing that night with my new friends was amazing. Elliott has brought more than great music in to my life- I am making wonderful memories with amazing people.

I am not sure that there is much more that I can add to the recaps...So I will just send a thank you too Carole, Carolyn, Auntie Sheryl, Lauren (SIL), Robyn, and Carol. And too Elliott and Josh for the best performances!

I have not stopped smiling yet....What can top that night-Really Ladies-What can get better?

THANK YOU!!!!! I cannot wait until we can do it all over again.

Carol-You said something that keep playing through my mind -Only we can, as Elliott's fans, understand why we go to show after show...My husband doesn't get it, most of my other friends don't get it but the Fantastic 7 understand why-He is so wonderful and this is our thing!!! The damn laundry can get done when Elliott doesn't have a show-LOL!!!

Well now I am off to sleep so good night!!!

Denise (Robyn- I agree- This message is still from cloud 9)

chloewannabee - November 15, 2007 12:51 PM (GMT)
