That doesn't bug me -- I lived there for about 8 years. My very first job I had to traverse the infamous Springfield interchange twice a day during my commute and during the first week, they sent me to one of the Dupont Circle Embassies for a 4:45 document delivery. :scared:

My issues involve
a) Suggesting to my dh that I attend my third Elliott concert in one month
b ) The expense, including hotel room
c) Relying on my husband not to be on a business trip since that concert is midweek.

I PM'd you... I'm a bit nervous as I'm not familiar with this area and I'm going with my 11 year old daughter. I think we will take the metro instead of attempting to drive. Does anyone know if this club is close to a metro stop? Thanks!

Take the Green Line to the U Street stop. Make sure you walk out on the Vermont Ave. side and NOT 13th street side. The Vermont street side is at the intersection of Vermont, 10th, and U. When you get to the ground level, make a "U" turn and walk to the right (east) along U street to Vermont, and walk up Vermont one block to the club. If you get out one the 13th street side of the metro stop, it's a much much longer walk)

Oh no! I've only got today to memorize the words to Little Ghetto Boy. That's the only song I can't totally sing along to. I'm sure Elliott is counting on me to sing along! :rotfl:

I wish there was some way I could take in this last show. I only live 2 1/2 hrs away from a Metro station, but can't imagine myself riding on the metro to and from, by myself and wandering into the parking lot alone......the last time my niece parked there, her van was stolen :blink:

Don't know what station you will be coming from, but remember there may be others leaving the show who will also be going to that station. Also, there's a Caps game and a lot of people use the metro to get there. If you post on here which station you will be going to, maybe someone else can meet up with you there. That won't stop your car from being stolen but at least you will feel safer!

There will definitely be people leaving the show to walk to the subway afterwards so I wouldn't think that will be a problem.

Hope you will be able to work it out somehow.

I'm in Baltimore at my sons and I'm trying to find someone to go into and out of DC with. I've never driven in DC so I'm alittle worried about it.

I figured if I have to come alone I'll just be brave. I was actually more worried about getting lost after the concert. Since I'm a small town girl who knows what state I might end up in LOL!!

So, I did hear back from Brandon and I have somewhat bitter /sweet news. Things arent completley set in stone yet, but its looking like a M & G wont be a problem. However, i was told that they would like to keep this M & G limited to those who haven't had the opportunity to attend one yet =\. Brandon also said that anybody attending the M& G should get there early (he didnt give a time, im guessing 3/4 ish) because it will probably be a soundcheck/M & G.
