Title: Toronto Concert
shoshana - November 20, 2007 06:19 AM (GMT)
The Toronto concert was mind blowing and finally got to meet Elliott and Sway by chance as I stepped out to feed my bad habit and there they were just about to cross the street. My daughter ran through a red light and was thrilled to bits to meet him, it was her dream come true and there is nothing more fulfilling in the world then to see your child happy. There will be more pictures from the concert and short video clips to share hopefully by tomorrow. The video clips actually turned out better then the pics. but I need to figure out how to load them on youtube.
Josh was Hilarius, Sway was gracious and Elliott was Elliott, no words left to describe this amazing man. What a treat of an evening.
We also met a very sweet fan from Buffalo, Sue, if you are reading this, once again, it was a pleasure to meet you and your friend and both (me and my daughter) are hoping to meet you again at the next concert.

It was especially sweet to meet him by chance simply because we received a bogus invitation for a meet and greet the day before, our names were taken down, my daughter took the day off school and was excited about the meet and greet.
I live 5-10 minutes away from the Mod, I made that very clear to the people who were going, and gave my phone number so they could call me when they had more information. They apparently found out at 3:50 PM and arrived for the meet and greet at 4:30. In all that time they didn't find one minute to call me while they knew my daughter might take time off school for this and how excited she was to meet him, I mean, she is only 15, this was a very big thing for her.
We met them at the line up at 5:30 and they started bragging about their meet and greet as if it was the most natural thing to do. My daughter's face looked like she was attending a funeral at the moment, and I can't even begin to tell you what it does to a mother's heart to see your kid sad. You'll only understand this if you have children.
This is why it was especially sweet to meet Elliott by chance, this is one of the rare time I'll say my bad habit paid off.
It turned out to be one magical and most enjoyable evening despite this little lack of consideration on some people's part. So it's all good.
I'm trying to upload some videos to youtube but it's taking forever.

Here I am, shoshana! It was a pleasure to meet you and your daughter also. I'm so happy that we all got to meet Elliott. Your pics are amazing. I still have to look at the videos. Your description of the concert was right-on. I was knocked right out by Elliott's performance. I think the whole crowd just loved him. Everyplace I looked, people were smiling and dancing. It was great. See you guys at the next Elliott in Toronto appearance!

No, actually she gets a lot of the young Lisa Loring when she played Wednesday on the Addams family, Natalie Portman a lot and oddly enough Angelina Jolie. I think she looks like herself a lot and didn't take after me or her dad :) But I can see from the way the pictures turned out with the flash, that her smile looks similar to JB.
Hey Sue, keep in touch, I'm glad you found the post. You should watch the little videos when you get a chance.
Here are one more and there will be a few more later, I just accidentally tried to upload the same video clip 3 times, that took another half day so there is only one more for now:

Shoshana
Your experience sounds wonderful and how nice for your daughter. At 15 she this will probably be one of her best teen memories. A wonderful experience she shared with her mother.
Your video and pics are great. I really liked that you showed some of the audience. I wish more videos would show a little more of the audience. I get a better sense of what the venue feels like when I can see some of the crowd.
Again Thanks.

I was there to enjoy the most awesome experience of my life!
I was lucky enough to meet him also,I'm still floating on cloud nine,
I tried to take videos and pictures but I was a blubbering mess when
he was performing,I dropped my phone countless times trying to take pics
and almost broke it!Elliott is pure bliss, almost more than I could handle,
for Pete's sake!Siba from Japan and her husband were standing right
next to me,we didn't even realize until half way through, that was awesome,
she had little fans and bags for us,believe me,I needed that fan!!!!!!
Every single thing of my trip was perfect, and I can't thank Lynn(tartanlass),
Mihaela(michmotto?) and Rainy enough for everything they did,to make everything so perfect, you all are the best! Also, have to say that Josh was
AWESOME as well!!!!!!Elliott was more than I could have imagined!
Thank you all so much!I'll post more later!I have a couple pics with him,I'll try my best to get them up here!

Shoshana in a perfect world everything runs smoothly and everything goes your way...I was taught that when things don't you learn to suck it in and do the best with what you have.....That is why on that day when I approached you to explain what happened I had full expectations of being treated civilly...Your behaviour actually made me apoligize to you 3 times...and it still wasn't enough was it? ? You just couldn't let it go and you made everyone around us aware of your anger..That was bad....I was a stranger from out of town who had been up since 5 am. in the morning travelling hundreds of miles on a Greyhound bus to try and make something good for fans of Elliott...Then to make matters worse I travel back home the next day arriving late at night and of course run to my computer to see the updates of the Elliott concert and there you are again, telling your tragic lies about being duped...Thank-God the group was staying at the homes of a couple of gracious Etrainers ...Thank-you so much Michimotto and Tartan Lass...When you post fabrications on a public board Shoshana you have to understand that someone just might take offense to your poor me story!!! I did the best with what I had Shoshana and when we got a call that we had 15 minutes to get across downtown and meet Elliott we were at the Greyhound terminal shoving our suitcases into lockers((you must get your times straight) We had to find a taxi and we arrived just in time...As for the bragging you labelled us with ,that was just happinness in meeting a guy with so

much talent, class and warmth!! If our joy offended you well that's just too bad!! You did not stop us from enjoying the most beautiful of concerts..Elliott's charisma of love was very soothing to us...We even managed to find Siba and her husband(they had travelled from Japan) True Elliott fans, very much like him in demeanor ,very loving and open..

Rainy - my story is based on facts, period! (I can prove it, but I don't feel I have to) I had enough class not to mention names, why are you jumping in such defence? I even ignored your first post.
FYI - My daughter has a lot in common with E too. She is half Israeli half N. American just like him. She shares the same birth sign, and is very talented as well. She had to audition with 750 people to be accepted to her school and she is one of the 50 that made it, she also received the highest votes from her classmates to do a solo performance on open night. E is her idol and the reason why she wanted to meet him is because she finds him inspiring directly to what and who she is, other then the fact that she is a 15 yr old teenager and everything is bigger then life to her.
I'm very happy to hear you had fun at the concert because we did too, I have no clue why you think I'm trying to ruin your fun by sharing an experience without tarnishing any individuals. As I said earlier if you read carefully, it was all good in the end of the day.
And another thing - just because people travel a distance to see a show, doesn't make them a "better fan", an obsessive fan? maybe. I try to keep my perspective on life by eliminating obsessions and I can still be supportive without obsessing. But to each his own.

Class???? I am still looking for it in your first postings and in your reply..Time to take a good hard look.. Words are often used as weapons and you carefully chose yours in your posts....You could have just shared your good fortune but you had to make a drama of it....and you shouldn't really be labelling people..,I never stated that I was a better or more deserving Elliott fan.. I just love Elliott and that voice of his..
AngELL - November 22, 2007 06:05 AM (GMT)
Thanks for all the awesome videos and pictures!!!
