Just opening this as a continuing thread where people can feel free to express that E is amazing! We know everyone here is a fan but maybe some peeps are uncomfortable with this "higher love" level of E insanity, straight-up, and tolerating no questions, doubts or qualms. All can be accepted here to pour their hearts out in true Elliott-love without fear of reprisal!

Okay - I want to keep this going, but I have company coming for dinner tonight and I really should get ready. I got into the middle of a big bruhaha over unconditional love and was told that is was not a good thing - that others thrive from our constructive criticism, etc. Well, I'm afraid I love Elliott unconditionally - no matter what he may do or not do from here on out he has done more for my soul than anyone has ever done (including all my loved ones - they try, but they just don't understand). Elliott, the person, I'm sure wouldn't understand or even really care, but Elliott, the voice, has touched me so deeply that I've actually found myself, I've found some kind of a human connection - I used the quote "that he brought me back to life and I didn't even know I was dead". Loving him is loving myself - I've found something that I truly love and believe in and no one can take that away. Thank you, Elliott, for sharing your beautiful voice that lifts me above the everyday level of life and takes me to a place of rapturous joy - my "mountain top experience" - that is who Elliott is to me. I cherish the Being who carries the voice. And by the way, squeeee!

I think E is absolutely amazing in that he is completing this harrowing, almost year-long global tour schedule, even with obvious exhaustion and even illness and he has done it without missing a beat, and with near performance perfection-- AND extended himself to hug his fans, give countless photo-ops, autographs, promotional interviews, ---AND done incredible amounts of charitable work every step of the way too. We all give kudos for each of these things individually, but when you really think about it, doing it ALL and doing it as graciously as he has done it is more than impressive. I truly hope with all my heart that he will back off a little and let himself breathe and rest a little. It's almost super-human to continue to keep the pace he has kept.

I am really fortunate that my husband totally understands my passion for Elliott and he understands it because he too sees the total amazing-ness of Elliott....but I know he probably is getting tired of listening--and I know he prefers to watch sports on TV than hear a song--he is just not into music at all...but he too thinks Elliott is incredible as a person!
I think unconditional love is a good thing myself--and E condones it in the song OW...so I totally agree with that concept.

My thoughts exactly....Elliott has given 200% of himself to his fans while enduring a grueling schedule this year. I have not met any other artist that has taken time to spend meeting his fans and show his appreciation for them.
Elliott is E mazing and and will always have a special place im my heart.

E certainly has worked hard for his success this year and is giving music (and his work with diabetes related causes) his all which makes me want to support him to lengths I would have never have gone as a fan of just any artist. He is a lovely and adorable person besides being a great, great singer. Seeing him on tour blossoming as a live performer and singing for us all with utter abandon, and wild unadulterated (hee) joy has only increased my adoration and squee to epic proportions. It would seem crazy if there were not so many who are equally impressed. Many have talent but few give as much of themselves in their giftedness or make as much an impact--in spite of limitations, missteps and obstacles. Nothing can keep a good, talented man down once he has found his destiny. I expect Elliott will continue to shine on and make sweet music of all kinds to enrich our lives in this coming year. I'm a very proud fan--can't wait for more! (but hope he does get a well deserved break)

On Fans and Fannies (or Broad Where a Broad Should Be Broad)

I love to go to Elliott's Page
To check out kids and grannies
Who love our guy with all their hearts
And some with all their fannies.

The giant bum I saw today
Made my jaw drop to the floor
One fan had twice as much behind
As I'd ever seen before.

It's actually very nice to know,
Glued here to this screen,
That E might actually approve
Of those broad in the beam.

And some might cast opprobrium
And others sigh ho-hum
While Elliott smiles and gives thumbs-up
To those broad in the bum.

And so as usual I don
My pair of rose-colored glasses
And find it comforting to know
E might love enormous ---es.

This thread is a great idea. I love reading positive posts. I go to the various Elliott sites for info and to see what I can do to help support Elliott. My theory is that he has family, friends and management to give him advice. No "constructive" (or otherwise) criticism needs to be posted by me. (Not that he would ever see it anyway.) So far they have made wise decisions without my 2 cents so I think it should stay that way. LOL.

I love Elliott for the person that he is and the person that he strives to be. He has come so far in such a short time and I am extremely proud of him. His good heart shines through very brightly. He is only human but he is an amazing human being.

Elliott's voice, passion and good heart captured my heart. I love that he has a stubborn streak too. I love that he works so hard for diabetic causes and I love the way he cares for others.

No!! That poem was inspired by my own ample curves--you notice I never post the pic HarleyWoman took of E and me in Birmingham/WorkPlay...There's a REASON! But, no! Think he sees through the eyes of love--all of his fans...and that's what we all need to do, lol! And when I said "beauty"--that meant YOUUUUUU!
ETA: Actually the thought came after seeing several commenters on E's myspace flagrantly displaying their assets!

Elliott is amazing! To endure a 17 hour flight to Kuala Lumpur and then sing to the crowd in the pouring rain???!!! If we can't give him our all after that performance....!!! ALL of the band deserve big hugs for their amazing-ness! But especially our guy! (Cuz of all the big hugs he's given US, lol!) He doesn't NEED to do all this to impress us....just has to be Elliott--that's Emazing enough!
