We left central MA at about 2:15 to head for Boston. It was about a 1 1/2 drive, but it went pretty quick. We arrived at about 3:30 or so, parked and tried to find our way around the city. (It's not easy when you live in a small town!) We finally found The Last Goodnight merchandise van, so we followed it to the back of The Roxy. We saw Elliott's tour bus, but figured he was already in for a sound check. We hung around for a few minutes and then so Sway go through the side parking lot so we followed him. When we finally caught up, I called out "Sway!" and he turned around and briefly talked to us. He was really sweet! He then said he was having a sound check in a few minutes and he needed directions, so we led him to the back door. We hung out by the bus for about an hour and met a really nice lady who had a baseball with Elliott's picture on it for him to sign. She thought he was still on the bus so we took her word for it and stayed around. People were coming off the bus, but we assumed they were just crew. Then out comes someone with a hood on and he comes to the sidewalk and it was ELLIOTT! But he was in a hurry and had to run through the crowd with an usher. I did get a picture of the back of his head though! I felt bad because a few people next to us had been waiting since 11:00. We thought he may come back out but he never did.

It was now about 5:00 and it was absolutely freezing, so we went over to a food court across the way and enjoyed some hot chocolate. It was nice to warm up again, but not for long. We got out at about 5:30 and got in line. The line was alreadt pretty long, not to mention it was outside and we were all freezing. They finally let us in at about 6:10. When we got up to the security guards, they asked for an ID, and I didn't have one because I came with my parents. The asked if I was over 18 and I said I was 18 exactly. They pondered over what to do and then turned to my mom and asked if she was my parent. She said yes of course so they let us in. I lucked out big time!

Inside was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. The standing floor wasn't too crowded yet, so we got a pretty good spot. We stopped by the merchandise table and I got a picture of Elliott for him to sign for after.

Josh Hoge and Trey, his guitarist opened the show up. I was very impressed with the both of them. I hope he does well in the future. The Last Goodnight came on next. There style of music wasn't exactly my type, but they were good at the type of music they played. They seemed like a nice bunch as well. Then everyone was getting antsy for Elliott. It took awhile to get the other band off and get all his equipment on, but it certainly was worth waiting.

He came out and started with "Alright" which was a real crowd pleased. I can't really remember the order after that, but I know "You Take My Breath Away" was soon after. He sounded amazing live! I really like "Little Ghetto Boy" as well. I had never heard it before but I got into it right away. He then went on to do "Free", "Find Away", "Train Wreck", "I'm The Man", "One Word" and of course "Wait For You". He had a few others in there that I didn't know of, but they were great too! "Movin On" was next and everyone thought that was the end, so a lot of people left. It was fine by me, because I got closer to the stage. He the did "A Song For You" which was fantastic! Probably my favorite of the night.

The show ended but we hung around. We saw Josh by the merchandise table so I got a picture with him. We saw Trey, but he was sitting down talking so I didn't want to bother him. I saw a couple members of The Last Goodnight out there too. They had to hurry us out because there was another show on shortly. We headed outside and went straight back to the bus. It was freezing but we knew it would be worth it. There were some people around, who I don't think attended the show because Sway came out and they didn't react at all. But I was by the door, so I asked for a picture. He was very willing and didn't seem to be in a hurry. Then Josh came out again and hit my mom with the door! It was quite funny. He then went over ad got pictures with a few other girls. They talked for a while and then I heard him say "I don't know, I'll go get him" So I assumed he meant Elliott. About thirty seconds after he went in, Elliott comes running out the other door and goes "WEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!" and runs off by the bus. I guess he was on a tight schedule. I sprinted over to try to catch him because I had a gift for you. He stopped and gave a few quick hugs and stepped on the the bus. I was right next the bus at this point and I yelled "Elliott, wait, I have a gift for you!" The doors started to shut but they opened again and I gave him his gift. My mom asked if we could get a quick picture and he said sure. It was amazing! He then thanked us for coming down and wished us a happy holiday and we were off!

It was an amazing night and my dream of meeting Elliott finally came true. I can't wait to go see him again, because he said he would be back someday! Thanks for reading!

I am so HAPPY for you! I had been so sad when reading that you might not get to see him because of the age thing. I think you and your Mom did that soooo good!! Can't wait to see your pictures! Your Mom must be very special to spend all thtat time out in the cold waiting with you and to get hit by the door LOL that part was cute!!

Elliott is worth all the waiting in the world , isn't he? and I am glad that you got to give him the gift you had for him.

Thanks for the messages guys! My mom loved the show as well! My dad wasn't interested in seeing it and he drove us in so he went to the Blue Man Group, which he enjoyed. Glad you all had fun!

Okay, so it wasn't a dream that I had last night? I finally got to meet Elliott!!

Yes, Elliott signed my baseball with his photo on it! Yes, I had my pic taken with him (thank you again Rick!) so finally I will have a personal avatar ha ha.

I truly hope there is video of "A Song For You" ... it was amazing!

Bonanza, I am SO HAPPY that you got in!!!! I felt terrible reading your earlier posts about not being able to go since you were under 18! Good for you to go for it anyway and for being "creative." There is no good reason why under-18s couldn't attend an Elliott show, in my opinion.

Oh my sweetie, I am so BEYOND THRILLED and relieved that you got IN!!! That is all we could talk about was "how are we gonna tell Bonanza that we saw other young kids in there?"
