Title: Dj Response
Description: MOVIN' 99.7 KMVQ

At the end of October I was streaming at MOVIN' 99.7 a popular station in the California Bay Area. I heard WFY so I shot the DJ an email and requested OW. I received an email reply asking "how long have you worked for the Street Team?". (geez!) I wrote back and said I was in fact a huge E fan, not a pushy one and that I didn't work for his street team just wanted to hear OW on the radio. (and I included a link for WARM ME UP on Youtube) Didn't hear anything else until now. Just got this email today.

Not mad at pushy fans, we love the passion from you guys!

Hope you are having a great long holiday weekend. Thanks for the heads up on his Christmas CD I will be checking that out now that we are focused on the next cheery holiday.

Best,

PS You can be pushy as you want anytime!

This is super - I think that the difference here may be that when we push Elliott others know (DJ's) that he is worth pushing. Request on!

Is Alexa the same DJ that initially replied to your email, asking if you were on the street team?

YES SHE IS THE SAME DJ. HER 1ST EMAIL WAS KINDA SNOTTY. THE YOUTUBE LINK MUST HAVE WARMED HER UP!

Also, DJs realize they can get in trouble if they make an accusation they can't back. She clearly had no basis for saying you were part of a street team, and it sounds like she had to backpedal here.

Huh? A streak team? What is that? (just practicing!)

^ Streak team: Isn't that where you rip off your clothes and run real fast, fastest team wins? :rotfl: I know you meant street team, hehehe couldn't resist. :)

Good thinking..."streak team" :rotfl: haha that'll throw 'em off!

Of all the things we do for E, a "streak team?" Oh what the hay, count me in! :rotfl:

Better to respond than not. A few times I was asked the same. I responded and always got a polite answer.
