Title: Chicago - Let's Get E's Song On The Radio
Description: Where are all my Chi-town Peeps at!

LOTR Fan 71281 - May 25, 2006 08:34 PM (GMT)
Hello fellow Chicagoans - So I've requesting Elliott's song to every single Chicago Station imaginable. I'm not stopping until I hear that bad boy on the radio. I've requested in on WLIT and WNUA.

WNUA is going to be a little tougher. Read the response they gave me:

"Unfortunately, that song is not one that I think fits with the
station. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Michael"

So I requested it again and I'll continue to request till they play it.

I did get a response from WLIT and here is what the guy said:

"I will pass this along to our station's program
director!

Thanks so much for listening!

Kevin O'Neill"

Now I think we need band together and make WNUA and WLIT play Elliott's song. Request it like you mean it. Any more stations here is Chicago that would be willing to play it, let me know.

Let's have the people of Chi-town show that they supprort our boy Elliott.

WHAT??? Apparently he's not familiar with Elliott. Do you have email addresses handy? I'm in the NW burbs.

I have no idea how this stuff works and I am not techno literate - but is there any way to send him an attached file with MMFL and ask him to listen to it then decide to play it? Once you've heard it - that's all she wrote - there are a lot of American Idol snobs out there who would never hear this song unless it was laid in their lap.

Both go to the website where you can request songs. For WLIT...you can request songs to each individual DJ that they have. I requested for all of them.

I asked them if I can send them the mp3 and they said no. So we have to push them to get the song.

I'm so going to get fired for being on the messageboards. LOL! Oh Well!

Okay, I just sent one to WNUA, and at WLIT, I sent it to Song Request and each disc jockey. I wrote:

"Can you folks please play, "Moody's Mood For Love" by Elliott Yamin? He's the next Bobby Caldwell. Thanks!"

Now they may not know Elliott, but they'll know Bobby Caldwell. We'll see what happens.

I sent emails to WTMX & WLIT yesterday, and will continue to do so every day. Haven't gotten any response yet.

I'm just a 33 yr old middle class white mom, so those 2 stations are more my speed :), but I'll also send emails to WNUA and WGCI every day too--anything to get our boy E on the radio!

lauralulu - May 26, 2006 01:43 PM (GMT)
Oh, and I have no idea how this works, and I'm assuming xm radio doesn't have any bearing on airplay charts and such, but since that's all I listed to in my car, I also requested the song on every xm channel that E's music would fit--which was quite a few. :)

If anyone wants those links let me know.
