Sorry I am so late with the recap our great adventure in seeing Elliott perform at the Mod Club in Toronto..Scott and I woke at 5:00 Monday morning and met up with Sange and Stacey to travel to the depot..Our bus arrived in Toronto at 1:00 and we were met by Tartanlass ..(Both Tartanlass and Michimotto travelled down to and stayed at our home when Elliott performed in Detroit...and beautiful Efans they are)..We then walked over to the Mariott's coffee shop eagerly awaiting a phone call that would perhaps get us a meeting with Elliott. Time is so long when waiting~Here is a funny little side story: While I was outside I struck up a conversation with a beautiful young girl asking her if she lived in Toronto, she laughed and replied that no she was from Newfoundland on an overnight stayover before flying on to Miami.. Devon then asked if I was local to and my reply was to laugh and tell her I was just in TO. for a special concert with my fav singer...Elliott....before I could answer she shrieked Yamin!!!!!! Well to make a long story short Devon and her friend attended Elliott's concert that night and when I saw them at the end of the show they had been up for 25 hours and were quite well intoxicated with both Elliott and Canadian beer....I now have a place to stay if I visit St. John's..Lol...Meanwhile back in the coffeeshop we had decided we had better make use of facilities to change for the show...I met a lovely cleaning lady named Amelia who was so concerned for my eyes that she ran out and came back with a magnified mirror to save me from bodily injury!! The things and the places we do these things for the love of Elliott...At 3:30 it appeared that our Elliott meet was not going to happen so we decided to walk back to the depot and store our luggage..THEN GOD SMILED and the phone rang at 3:45...Talk about panic, we had 15 minutes to hail a cab and get to the club. We arrived at

Part deux...4:00 on the nose and dashed into the building(us Canadians are notorious for being prompt)...We were just in a daze while waiting to spot Elliott..I did not realize that Scott was outside chatting to him and explaining about the necklace he had made for Elliott, he just loved it and when he saw the keychain pendant Scott had made he was ooohing and ahhhhing over that one so Scott took his keys off and gave that one to Elliott too!! He is going to use that one for his car keys.....Finally we spotted him , there he was,that beautiful young man who has captivated sooo many people. Neurons were snapping..Lol..Elliott said hi Rainy and my brain just left town..Lynn got her hug and her eyes were lit by stars , Sange then got hers (I was really worried that she wasn't going to let go) then it was my time I guess..I really don't remember too much..Elliott is just so gracious and huggable..I love the way he looks right at you when you are speaking to him, and that impish smile that darts in and out ,charming everyone in sight..I didn't realize that this was going to be so long..I will post the rest tommorrow and you won't be disappointed..love Rainy

Well now about the concert!! I love the interplay between Josh and Elliott, these two are really good friends. Josh did a fantastik set and he won over some new fans when he put the mike aside while singing Ain't No Sunshine..That boy can wail!! TLG did a good set but I am not enthralled with thier vocals. By then we were getting antsy for Elliott to come out, well he was worth the wait and then some. Elliott is just so darn special (but we always knew that) I have been fortunate enough to see many of the great vocalists, Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross,the Temptations, Stevie Wonder and many others..Believe me that Elliott has that very same quality that the greats have...the ability to grab and hold an audience with the sheer strength of his distinctive vocals. Elliott just has such a great sense of music and his joy in hooking an audience is palpable..He is like a surround-sound of music that says "Here I am ,share how I feel about music"..It is such a joy to watch this diminutive young man with a powerhouse voice hold an audience hostage with his sheer delight of sharing his given talent with us. There was a youg man standing behind us that let everyone know he was there solely to see TLG and I couldn't help but smile to hear his mantra of Holy s***!!! while Elliott was performing...lol . I have always been an audience watcher and Elliott's are especially sweet because a lot of the audience has no idea of what they are going to become privy to.. con'td

Alright is such a great lead off song to get the audience charged and he certainly did that in Toronto..His set list is as really a masterpiece to showcase his versatility..There is a spot when Elliott is singing Little Ghetto Boy(around the 54 second mark when he does this jaguar scream) that literally raised the hair on my neck..The crowd was made love to by Elliott in that sexy,growling and constantly adapting voice..They roared thier approval all through his set and Elliott basked in it. This is what Elliott was made to do, he has found the place that he thought was unattainable and he means to hold on to it by working that little butt off...

So getting back to the concert ,our group just had the greatest time..Sange, Stacey and I were on the floor about 5 feet away from Elliott and I was getting really worried about Sange jumping the stage..lol...Michimotto ,Scott and TartanLass were off to the side and up a bit..Michimotto made a great recording of the concert! I knew there were going to to be fans from overseas there so I kept calling out "Siba" and "EmmaC"...Then I am tapped on the shoulder and there is Siba in all her sweetness....EmmaC if you read this I am truly sorry we didn't get a chance to meet..I glanced over at Siba while Elliott was singing ASFY and the tears were running down her face matching the feelings Elliott shared with us..All in all we had a great time and we were very fortunate that Michimotto and TartanLass opened thier hearts and homes to us...Thank-you sweet Elliott ladies so much.. Michaela you never did give me the name of the smoked cheeses that you served us..Cheese please???? lol love Rainy
