Carrie Underwood Named One of the Entertainers of the Year

"It's that time of year again...the time to reflect on 2007 and all of the amazing things that have happened this year. Entertainment Weekly has done just that in naming its 25 Entertainers of the Year, one of whom is our own Carrie Underwood! As author Jeff Labreque notes, "Underwood further solidified her country bona fides with a confident, twangy No. 1 album, Carnival Ride, that vindicated all the promise and possibility American Idol aspires to offer."

The article walks us through all of the impressive accomplishments achieved by Carrie in 2007, beginning with her performance (and two wins) at the 49th annual Grammy Awards, and ending with her song "Ever, Ever After" being featured in the new film Enchanted."

:cheers: To Carrie. She certainly has had a very successful year. Although I do like her and wish her well, I basically am getting tired of her being shoved down our throats as I am with Chris Daughtry.

While I have appreciated some of Carrie's music (not big into country), Daughtry has totally left me cold with his offerings. In my opinion, others were more talented that particular season such as our E, Taylor Hicks, Ace Young and Paris Bennett. Sure wish they had gotten promoted as much as Carrie and Chris.

Luckily for us the fans we have sites to idolize our favorites.

Yes yes yes! Paris' cd was disappointing, but the girl can blow. I was never too fond of Ace Young, but I heard he toured with New Edition, so he can't be all that bad (I'm a HUGE NE fan!!), Mandisa just did a Christmas cd. I too am so sick of hearing about Carrie and Daughtry.

Carrie and Chris are so.....*yawn* BORING!

Paris needs to do jazz! That is her thing, she's more Billie than Beyonce and she shouldn't mess with it.

Ace toured with New Edition? That's awesome! (NE is awesome)

Oh, and I've gotten to hear Mandisa's Christmas music, it sounds fantastic as well :)
