Way cool!!! Remember last year he donated his green t-shirt for this cause and Hip-Yaminized took it home (or I mailed it to her after I smelled it!)

I can't go either. We're having our Christmas party at work on Friday. :gimmeahug:

emmy4E - December 7, 2007 02:49 AM (GMT)
I already skipped out of work way early last week for the DC concert and I know I can't do it again. I can't wait to hear all about it from those of you able to go.

Does anyone know- Is he going to sing or meet n greet only?

The Q94 ad just says that you can meet him if you make a donation to the Make a Wish Foundation. I'm assuming he won't be singing. I hope pictures are allowed because I'm one of the few who don't have one with him yet. I'm wondering what kind of crowd there will be. I haven't heard or seen anything else about this except the Q94 thing.

emmy4E - December 7, 2007 05:21 AM (GMT)
I sincerely hope that this is your chance Efan2! I will be watching for your picture with E tomorrow evening!!!

Efan2 - December 7, 2007 04:01 PM (GMT)
Thanks! One can only hope.

Eyess2NKiss - December 7, 2007 05:58 PM (GMT)
Well, the ad's now gone!! What's it mean?!? No Elliott after all?!? I HOPE NOT!!!

To add: I'm speaking of q4radio's homepage used to say something about Elliott in the red boxes to the left, now it just mentions the 12 Hour Make A Wish charity and NO more Elliott!!

peppers23 - December 7, 2007 08:37 PM (GMT)
I hope that someone from the E-Train makes it out there if he is indeed at the mall. Please report back if you go! I just want to know how he's doing with his globetrotting schedule. :elliottcap:

lindagt - December 7, 2007 09:18 PM (GMT)
I wasn't able to go see him, but just heard on the radio that he IS there, so hopefully someone will come back with a report!

dgolden20 - December 7, 2007 09:33 PM (GMT)
I'm soo jealous! I had to miss last night, which was my dream night with Elliott and Serena Williams!! And I have to miss this awesome meet and greet!! Hope some of you all are there enjoying it right now! I want lots of details and pictures! :rocker: :rocker:

Elliott's appearance at VA Center Commons - Q94/Make A Wish Foundation

What a treat! I knew that Elliott was coming by the yelling I heard as he headed down the mall. He was early! What a treat this experience was. Elliott graciously greeted every single woman, man, and child. He took time with them, signed photos, and took pictures with each person. He looked great (as always). He was very upbeat and excited. I asked him how he felt after traveling overseas and he said, "GREAT!" I took some random pictures. A teacher at my school is a professional photographer on the side. She came and is taking pictures until 5:00. I know hers will be better than mine! YELLIN! One pic is especially for you! I said, "Hey Elliott, what about one for Debbie?" He was adorable because he quickly assumed the pose! We were cracking up. By the way, the line was longer to see Elliott than Santa. Poor Santa, lol!

Woo hoo! I finally got my picture with Elliott! I got out there around 1:30 and no one was there yet. I found where things were set up for him so I went into a nearby store for just a few minutes. When I came out, 4 ladies had gotten in line so I got in behind them. Soon after, I was joined by Lilly, a sometime poster here, but who works really hard behind the scenes for Elliott. More people came but the line was not too long. I think lack of promotion accounted for that. After awhile we heard some screams and there he was, just walking up the mall with a guy. It was actually a bit before 3. He was wearing a ball cap, plaid shirt, and jeans. Some lucky winners of the Q94 contest got to go first but it wasn't too long before I had my chance. They weren't rushing us through and people were taking a good amount of time talking with him, getting things signed, and taking pictures. Lilly's husband took a couple of me when I got up there. I'll post later when I figure out how to do it. I was such a nervous wreck I hardly remember what I said to him. But, boy are his eyes blue! I got a hug too. He signed a picture I have carried around with me on a couple of occasions previously with no luck and also he signed my Christmas CD. Needless to say, I was thrilled! Nancy was in line a little ways behind me so I went to talk to her when I was finished. She informed me that she had a young woman who teaches with her and who wants to become a professional photographer take my picture. That was so sweet. Thanks Nancy!

lilly4E - December 7, 2007 10:41 PM (GMT)
Elliott was wonderful. I was in line behind Efan2. My hubby took pictures of her and Elliott....so was happy she finally got her picture signed . The line increased quite a bit by the time I got up with Elliott. The radio dude cut in on me after about 1 minute and said "sorry...but you have to move on!" Elliott was very gracious, I wanted to talk to him much longer but the line was too long. I told him I was an E_Maniac and he said he gave a shout out last night to the E_Maniacs...but I'm not sure where. He looked happy and healthy and was all smiles. What a charitable guy....he is so totally awesome.

Lilly :)

Thanks guys! It was quite an experience. Thank you Lilly for the use of your husband for my picture taking! Sorry I forgot to mention that in my earlier post. I was in a hurry to leave for dinner. I didn't realize that you were asked to move on. Guess we were lucky to be near the front of the line and have a little bit of time with him. I'm glad you were able to tell him about your involement with the E_Maniacs. He must have done the shout out in Norfolk last night at the Anthem benefit. It was great meeting you and Gary.

OMG I am gonna cry!!! I love IT!!!!!!!!! If your friend took one of him doing the "crowe pose" (yeah, it was originally for the B man, but I am assuming maybe he was there?") I would love to see it too!! Awwwwwwwwwww, he knew!! Great pics hon, and I love the part about the line being longer for him than santa!!

Well, to us, he IS SANTA!!

Thank you for thinking of me, and you guys really are the sweetest, and always know just what to do at the right time. My mother in law was just admitted to the ER because she is having trouble breathing, and my dad is having complications with his legs due to his diabetes...how ironic...and so you made my day, a little brighter, and I love you for it!!

Yay!!! I'm so happy for you! When I read that you were a wreck when you saw him, it totally reminds me of me when I met him!! After standing in the cold for a couple hours, I was about to fall over ... and then he came out! I swear to you, I don't remember barely anything about it. I gave him a hug (which I don't remember), he said he recognized me from the concert and said I was "jammin" ... and then I blacked out from then on! Ha! For those of you who don't know...I had a cortisone epidural injection in my back yesterday and today I have been in ALOT of discomfort from it, making it impossible to stand in line for any length of time!!! I will say, I have been blessed to have met Elliott on various occasions and I am happy that people who have never had the opportunity to meet him, did today!

He is an amazing young man and I am extremely proud of him!!!

Yaaaay!!! I got to see him and had my picture taken!

I went in to today with low expectations, because I had to work....so I didn't want to get my hopes up high.

Well....I went in to work an hour early, just in case, LOL....and the day went well so I cut out at 4pm

I was still worried that I would be too late to see him....but I made it there right at 4:30 and was at the front of the line by 4:50 Yaaay!!

He looked great. And seemed so relaxed and happy.

I got to talk to him for a good 2 or 3 minutes. Got my CD signed, a hug and a picture.

I told him how muchI enjoyed the concerts and how great he, Josh and the The Last Goodnight were together....what a concert. He said that he missed those guys so much.

I also told him that I hope that he takes some time for himself between now and going back into the studio. He said that he was definitely planning some time to do that in the first of the year.

He thanked me for my support and told me to have a great holiday. He talked about how blessed he felt.

OMG....I still on cloud nine!!!

ETA b/c I'm so excited I can't think or type

Ha! But regardless, I'm really excited for you! :xmascheerleader: :xmascheerleader:

You are so right dgolden. I told my husband that I got a hug but, I swear, I can hardly remember it. I think I was on auto pilot when I went up. I told him too that, if I get to meet him again sometime, I'm going to savor and remember every moment. I do remember those eyes though......

Haha!! Yeah don't you hate yourself for not remembering it! I'm praying that I get to see him again! By the way, I'm Denny! :gimmeahug:

Denny, so glad you joined the Etrain. We have a lot of fun around here. Did you see that I finally updated my avatar? Now I have to work on the rest. By the way, I'm Faye. :gimmeahug: Right back at ya.

So nice to meet you Faye! And I'm sooo blessed to be a part of :xmasetrain:
Everyone is so great here! Anyway, love your picture! I'm really happy for you!

My mother in law was just admitted to the ER because she is having trouble breathing, and my dad is having complications with his legs due to his diabetes...

Debbie, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
