I didn't see this posted yet. Mods, feel free to move if this is in the wrong spot. It's also not on Elliott's myspace yet.

WPLJ

As a longtime Rob Thomas/matchbox twenty fan, I'm so happy that Elliott is taking part this year. Rob did post on his website that he thought Elliott was the real Soul Patrol! Rob has been doing this show for years, and I'd be thrilled if Elliott became part of the tradition.

This is great! Now if only WPLJ will give his songs more play time!

He did! It was actually a response to someone's post asking who Rob was rooting for that year. He was also a Chris fan. His response is in someone's siggy over on Rob's message board, but of course I can't find it now.

And in a sign of things to come, Elliott's hanging out with all multiple-grammy-nominated and grammy-winning artists here.

Will this be a concert? One that's open to the public or just held at the hospital for the kids and families at the hospital?

AngELL - December 7, 2007 09:08 PM (GMT)
oh, how wonderful!

I'm almost positive that it's not open to the public, just the kids, their families and the hospital staff. However, I think most, if not all, is simulcast, with podcasts available later.

Thanks for the info, jersey_grl20. I'll look forward to the podcast. This is a great gig for Elliott, the kids, their families and the hospital. He will be in great company also. I'm impressed with the lineup.

Elliott along w/ Rob Thomas & John Mayer, WOW, I love the thought of that!!! Whether or not it is just for the patients and staff, what a great opportunity for Elliott to associate w/ RT & JM and hopefully they'll be as impressed w/ him as we are. It would be great for us though if even a bit of it ends up being podcast.

THanks for bringing that here. I'd love to hear those guys sing something together too. I too am a big fan of Rob Thomas and Matchbox 20.

xxx fingers crossed for a podcast.
