"Ya know that old movie line "Every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings?" Well, these days it seems that every time a music announcement is made, an Idol gets a nomination! And today's Grammy nomination announcements were no exception. The following Idols were nominated for Grammys:

*Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group ("Home")
Fantasia- 3 Nominations
*Best Female R&B Vocal Performance ("When I See You")
*Best Contemporary R&B Album (Fantasia)
*Best R&B Song ("When I See You")
Carrie Underwood-2 Nominations
*Best Female Country Vocal Performance ("Before He Cheats")
*Best Country Collaboration ("Oh Love")
Kelly Clarkson- 1 Nomination
*Best Country Collaboration ("Because of You")
Mandisa- 1 Nomination
*Best Pop/Contempoary Gospel Album (True Beauty)

Ace Young cowrote that song... does that mean he's nominated, too? Isn't "best song" an award for the songwriters?
