"One Word" debuts at #20 on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown. To me, the video looked great on TV,

The shows are taped early in the week, so really, we only had a few days to get it on the countdown. All of the votes received after the taping will be applied to the next show.

Allison gave Elliott's holiday CD a very nice plug.

If this debuted at #1 everyone would have freaked out. This song is not where WFY was when it debuted at #1. All we would have done is cause uproar with other fans. I would like for OW to stay in the 10-20 range personally. It gets the same play regardless of where it lands. If it goes too high, we will have a lot of backlash.

yes, I think this video only had 2-3 days of actual votes counted; everyone keep voting and we'll enjoy getting the video back up higher next round, whenever it airs.. Again, the holiday season places a hindrance on this song. Oh well....

there's been a small backlash against Bice, and it is better to debut low than high.
I would stll like us to get a few weeks of play on this song on VH1, however.

The next few weeks are the yearly countdown; WFY should be high (top 10?).

Glad to see Christmas CD is plugged. This will help sales and possibly radio play. If E can get solidly into Christmas ratation they will be bringing him back out for play for many years. I personally think they should be pushing a song like warm me up or Let's be naughty to pop stations. :hapiholidays: :tisdseason: :xmasetrain:

The first thing I did this a.m. was to log on to the Etrain to check out the VH1 countdown update. Great news!

I agree with Mike on this. The problem is that it's impossible to gage how many votes are needed to even make the top 20 yet alone rankings within the 20.

Great news! #20 is great for a debut! We can do better with a full week to vote. Let's not slack up. Anywhere on the countdown is fine with me as long as the song is getting heard. People may hear it, fall in love with it, and call their radio station!!

AngELL, thanks for the info about no voting until for week 12-29. I have to admit I don't pay attention to VH1 unless Elliott is involved. I hope that Elliott being on today will help get some air play for OW.

I like it better on TV than the internet. The same was true with WFY. I guess the Internet doesn't do the video justice.

This is the best shot at increasing sales of OW and the album itself. I really don't care if it climbs the charts anymore, but having the video out there to the masses really helps Elliott in the long run.

Wooo!! I'm excited that he's at number 20! I just got done watching it on TV and it gave me goosebumps when I saw it because I know how much work we put into it ... and that voice tends to do it as well! And, I soo got 20th at Cross Country states this year so 20 is a good number! :elliottelliott:

Okay, I just saw it. It DOES like great on TV. It looked to me to be the same version being streamed on AOL, I also loved the plug for his Christmas CD. Even mentioned "Let's be Naughty" LOL. I TiVOed Elliott's portion so I can watch it over and over on a bigger screen. :xmascheers:

the video will be good exposure, regardless. It was on the Yahoo hompeage for two days, so that's good.

I heard the E-man was in great spirits, and very happy, at yesterday's mall event, so I see no reason why we shouldn't be happy, as well.

I am surprised at how much better the video is on TV. Very nice and Elliott gives off some strong sex appeal so it should appeal to the ladies. And the car should appeal to the guys. So it's all good. Oh, am I crazy or is this the THIRD time they have changed the video....now the kiss at the end is back to a close up.

I missed it too, saw #19. Couldn't find my remote arghhh. (have to blame myself this time). I set my DVR for tomorrow, didn't see it listed anymore today.

I'm inspired too, but I know in my heart that radio won't care about this. Not trying to make comparisons, but Love Story was on TRL for weeks and it did nothing to increase its chart position.

I hope this is more exposure and that people will buy OW and/or the album after watching it. This is the first real national exposure except for XM and Sirius but those do have subscriber fees as well. A lot of people watch this countdown.

That's not a bash against realism (I've been very realistic, as my previous posts suggest), but the power of one's perception cannot be dismissed. It's been a fantastic year, regardless.

I hope we all don't stop requesting at radio all at once...that would be sad, indeed.
I'm still enjoying seeing the Wilmington success nightly.

Bice has had a big VH1 hit without radio support, and there is power in continued exposure of an artist and song within whatever medium embraces it.

I just checked the lineup on Comcast Cable and it airs again at 8am tomorrow locally.

Yes, it has been an AMAZING year and the exposure will be great for the CD and perhaps radio. It remains to be seen. :xmascheers:

I want # 1 . Sorry but I do.. I love to tell the Dj's Elliott is # 1 on the Vh 1 countdown when I request. That is what I did all summer with WFY... Elliott is # 1 so I am shooting for that . After all VH 1 is not called VH20.
