Title: Not Sure Where To Post This Amusing Story...
Description: Regarding jukebox

The bar that DH and I hang out acquired a new jukebox. It was one of those digital ones where you can play songs that aren't on the jukebox officially for 2 credits. I put in Elliott Yamin and his CD came up BUT...

They only had WFY, Movin On, Trainwreck and I'm the Man.
The next CD had the dance version of WFY.

I played "Movin On" first and DH LOVED it! He said he liked it better than his 2 singles.

But lets just say after more beers DH had to roll his eyes at me. First WFY came on, and then the dance version of WFY. DH said, "WTH is this???" Then "I'm the Man" and "Trainwreck" . I played "Movin On" about 5 times. The bar is kind of a man's man sports bar so besides Elliott all that was playing was AC/DC, Van Halen, Zeppeland...you get the idea. I laugh now thinking about it because you knew all the guys wanted to kill me. ;-)

I'll probably come in next week and not be able to find him on there any more. I just LOVE the response for Movin On!

I think you are right, Mike!

That's funny! At least you exposed them to the "guy" type songs!

I'm tellin' ya, it would be a shame for them not to release "Movin On" for real at some point. It would help widen Elliott's demo in terms of gender and genre.

At the same time, "One Word" is still diffusing through the music world. I can't tell if it's gonna get more legs or continue to stall, though.

I am getting into the song "Free". some other songs of Elliott's are becoming my favorites.. A Very Merry Christmas is a sleeper and I am lovin it now!

This guy can't put out a bad song!!

I played the CD in the car once, and my dad got irritated at me... but now he loves it. My dad says,"Elliott could sing the phonebook and sound great."

Guys just don't want to admit Elliott has broken through their manly exterior. XD

I drug out some of my "old" x-mas c.d.s the other day. Even had to wipe the dust off some of them. I also bought the "new" 25 Now x-mas album. Some of the voices I used to just love, do not even half-way compare to Elliottt's. Why is this? I tell you, there is something very "addicting" about that man and his voice! It's scaring me!!
