Just listened to the podcast and it was great! Sounds like Elliott's going to be helping out with Idol Gives Back next year. He's also playing in France and Germany. And he wants to work with John Mayer ... that would be great! :elliottelliott:

Great pics!
I wish he was doing even more of these. I wonder how a singer gets to be in the line-up in the first place. Some of the other stations have 10-12 acts, so I was expecting Elliott to pop up more than just Atlanta and Miami. I wonder if he simply wanted to focus on a few, or if he wasn't asked at some places?? (It's unfortunate since Sean Kingston seems to be at a number of these.)

If the Jonas Brothers were there that explains the tweens being in abundance. Lots of them having their pics taken with 'cardboard' E....I want one of those...LOL
harleywoman - December 11, 2007 11:16 PM (GMT)
I loved that shirt he wore. Looking good!
cfans - December 13, 2007 03:23 PM (GMT)
Sounds like he may also be going to Israel. Lots of happenings for E in 2008!

How many songs do you get to do if there are 10-12 acts? Seems hard to imagine it'd be more than one or two. I'm not sure it's worth it to fly to a zillion cities to sing one song in each place.

My thoughts only...Elliott had almost 25 minutes of stage time in Atlanta, and that may be a factor for his decision. There were only 4 acts, and I tend to think that live performing (what he loves) and gaining experience is uppermost to him right now.
He also was trying to find a way to make up to Atlanta for cancelling the May show for the AI appearance. He mentioned that in an interview. Thought it was odd when a major cities like Atl & Miami were skipped over on his fall tour. He did this holiday concert for the station instead, and it worked out well because as you know, star 94 contines to play OW every day.

I went to the Jingle Jam in Atlanta Monday night and he was awesome!! My daughter and I drove 3 1/2 hours up there from SW Ga jus to see him and left right after he finished. I didn't want any other voice in my head but his...... There were tons of young kids there mostly for Jonas Bros and I couldn't take that. LOL He got a lot of love from everyone though and lots of kids had there pic taken with the cut out, and EVERYONE there knew the words to WFY. His set was short, but sweet. I have only seen him once before on the Idol tour and he has come a looooooooooooong way in performing. He is very comfortable on stage and sings with complete abandon. His voice just soars in person........ no words to describe it. Any every song sounds brand new because he does a different spin on each one every time he sings it. I think a lot of people who were there for other artists were pleasantly surprised by Elliott that night and I'm sure he got more fans. I asked the star 94 guys if I could have the cut out after the show and they took my name and # so here's to hoping!!
elliottcrazy - December 13, 2007 06:50 PM (GMT)
All I want for Christmas is that cardboard cut out...
tulee - December 13, 2007 07:11 PM (GMT)
He was amazing, I was there too. I was moved to tears watching him command that large audience.
Hope you can get that cutout, cuddly. That would be something!

Yes, and didn't Rodney Ho or somebody say that Elliott actually came on earlier than announced so he could fit in five songs rather than four.
It makes sense to me that, for more than reason, E's cause would be better served by singing significant-sized sets in a few places rather than running all over the place to do one song in this city and one song in that. I think that for audiences that aren't already sold, they may be sold after several songs, and maybe wouldn't be at all after just one or two songs followed three seconds later by another artist.
cuddlykitty - December 13, 2007 10:09 PM (GMT)
He actually came on only a few minutes before 7 and performed 6 songs. There was a 15 minute break to change band materials and then Colby Calbait . I didn't stay to see her though. Everyone did love him though!

Some of them are multi-night affairs: 2-3 nights and such.

Wow, that's great! You got a whole mini-concert -- he gave everybody their money's worth!

Oh, yeah, that's true, isn't it? I'd forgotten that some of these are like festivals.
Well, he got two big cities anyway. And I don't see a lot of the other past idols being invited this year. Jordin's going to a couple, at least, I guess.

Thanks for the link to the pictures. Elliott looks great.
Tulee, Cuddlykitty, Elliott will be back in Atlanta 12-21-07 to do an intimate performance for Q100.'s One on One at the Hard Rock Cafe. I think that you can only win the tickets. Of course I haven't won yet but I'm not giving up. LOL. You can listen to the station for the info but here is a link to the contest page:
http://www.allthehitsq100.com/contests/They are having something at NorthPoint Mall (tomorrow, Friday, I think) and they have been saying that people could possibly win two tickets to see Elliott.
Q100 played WFY a Lot. Stayed #1 for a long time. I hope they start playing "One Word" soon.
Good luck winning if you can make the show.

Hmm... wonder if he could compel them to add the single for a little bit. Just give "One Word" a try for a little while.

Wow! I'll try to win tickets too, you know the dj Dylan is the program director. His show is 3-6 when I'm working, but I've written to him several times.
Let's hope that this will be the start of radioplay at Q100.
I requested and was was listening all night to star 94 again, and they finally played OW after 11. Elliott's really working Atlanta this month, good for him, and us.
