OK, I predict big things for Elliott in 2008. It seems to me that he spent most of 2007 really connecting with his fans. I think this was important to him. What a good year it was. We had our pictures taken with him. We got hugs (kisses for a few lucky ones) We sat it on sound checks and attended personal meet and greets. He recognized many of us, looked us directly in the eyes and said Thank You. He acknowledged us at concerts and gratefully accepted homemade gifts and baked goods. If you arrived at a concert early and hung close by the bus, there was a very good chance that he would come out and greet you. If you missed that opportunity, you could usually catch him after the concert even though he had to exhausted. C'mon now who does that? Elliott does. It seems sometimes that there is a lot of worry that things are just not happening fast enough for him. I think things are just as they should be. He has built a fan base that is dedicated and lifelong. We all have adored him for a while now, but the rest of the world is starting to catch on. I wish him huge success in 2008 but yet......

MaryLee, you put so eloquently what we all feel. 2007 was one of the best years of my life - and I'm not a youngster.

Let me add just one more gift that Elliott has given us. He has brought together people who, if it weren't for him, would probably never have met, and bonded them together as lifelong friends. Even if we see each other only on rare occassions (Elliott concerts!), or perhaps even never again, we feel closer to these people than some friends we've known for most of our lives.

I have to concur w/ everything that's been said above. I've only met a couple of E-Trainers but I have to say that the power of Elliott really has created a bond between us and brought together some of the nicest and most intelligent group. I've been blessed by this past year and all it has brought. I can't even imagine how Elliott must feel about 2007. I wish Elliott and all those surrounding him the very best 2008. Really, couldn't happen to a nicer person and group of people.

all so true - and cfans, you are so right. What a community Elliott has built! I try to explain to people how friends who have sometimes only met via an internet website would truly give the shirt off their back to another one of us in need. It feels really good to know that there are always people who have your back - and if not for Elliott and his example, we would not have this. But I do believe that goodness attracts more goodness - so Elliott's character has truly drawn together the most extrordinary Etrain army!
