Fantastic! I seriously didn't know this album would get so much play and advertisement.
I was jumping up and down tonight at the bowling alley. They played This Christmas! Just wish it was on louder... well you know bowling is noisy :)

Great News! Exposure + advertisement = increased slaes. Increased sales = greater exposure = greater sales = greater exposure = greater sales and on and on. :xmascheers: :xmasetrain: :hapiholidays:

I saw those commercials, too. I was so excited!
Still wondering if anyone else has been to Target and watched the TVs in the electronics department. They play a piece on a loop, and in this piece is a long clip of Elliott's Making of The Sounds of the Season video. It plays on an entire wall of TVs at a time and it is a jaw-dropping experience.

I was at Target this week and watched the TV's for a bit. The Sounds of the Season ad featured KT Tunstall. :( It also looked like Elliott's Christmas cd had sold the least of the three different Sounds of the Season cd's just from the number of cd's in the rack, but you can't really tell from that because they may have just restocked his. Also they were down to just a few of his regular cds when they usually have at least 10. Yeah, I check out the stock at Target every time I'm there.

Darn, PM. Well, it happened to me two days in a row that I got to see it, but maybe that was "Elliott Week" and now they will show the others. But it was great because it was that video we saw posted here where he talks about making the album in July and he sings with those earphones on and he just looks adorable. I must have looked like an idiot, hypnotized by all the TVs, just smiling, smiling, smiling . . .

PM - that happened to me at Target too, but I'm really certain that they just restocked because the time I was there prior to yesterday - about a week ago Elliott's X-Mas CD's were down to a handful - I go to 3 different Targets in my area. Also, KT had one row of stock and Taylor and Elliott had 2 (I think they now are stocking according to demand so I think it's all good). The regular CD was down to 3 and there had been about a dozen the week of the sale. I bought 6 Holiday CD's for my work friends so the stock was down again at that particular Target.

I wish I would have read this thread before I went to Target this morning. When I was there a little over a week ago, I bought the last 3 Elliott CDs which made both his and Taylor's sold out. When I went this morning, there were many of both Elliott's and Taylor's with full slots of them near the bottom of the display. K.T. did not have nearly as many slots. I couldn't find his regular CD in the Best Seller Pop section where it has been every other time I've been there, but I did find one in the Pop section under Y. I didn't even think to look at the TV's and I am so nonobservant that I don't even know if they were on.

When I went there this week his regular CD was NOT in the bestsellers rack which is located in a very high-traffic area right alongside an aisle. (Its been on that rack since it was released, if I recall correctly.) It was, however, on an endcap of bestsellers. I think it may have been Pop Bestsellers, but I'm not sure if they specified a genre.
