| Both of Elliott's albums are in the same ballpark, not quite selling enough to hit the chart. Sounds of the Season sold 7,400, up from 6,600, for a total of 36,000. His self-titled debut sold 7,200, down a bit from 7,400, for a total of 465,000. |

Good news that consistent sales continue. :)

he is on his way to hitting that 500,000 "officially"!! And I am so proud of how wonderful his holiday CD is doing, and often wonder if it wasn't exclusive to Target how much MORE it would sell!! Still, for one store? That is AWESOME!! ;)

Great news........makes me anxious to see what 2008 will bring.

Good consistent sales. Time for the stores to put in the reorders.
It'll be interesting to see where the album tops out. Without a second hit single, I think it could still go to 600K. With a hit, who knows?

it's a good storm of favorable winds fueling these sales. I think some may be purchasing the cheap X-Mas album and then buying the general CD once they hear his style; the annual Christmas increase in sales is also benefitting him (was there a Hannukah push-up, as well?); you can't discount the Jingle Jam appearances, either.
I'm still curious if the AOL Sessions will be released for digital album download. If so, and since it is now eligible to chart on Billboard, perhaps we should make a goal to help him achieve a trifecta.

:elliottelliott: good news for the sales moving those units, Elliott!
(wonder what Clive would say?!)

Sales will more than likely be up next week, with last minute Christmas purchases. (that is if the stores have them in stock)

Can you just imagine what kind of sales he would have had had Elliott gotten about half of Pickler's promotion?

yes, I went to two Walmarts recently and could not find the CD....ofcourse I found an employe both times and asked for it. Also was in Target briefly today and it was not in it's usual place. I guess it has been moved, but I didn't have time to search. I know sales would be better if it was stocked better, but certainly don't blame anyone. I guess that's just one of the down sides of being Indie.

YEAH! GO ELLIOTT :elliottelliott:

I was back at Walmart today ( it was a zoo!!!) and Elliott's CD was at the very top of the rack!!! You know, where they display the hot sellers? I think it was next to Daughtry. There were 4 copies.

Thank you PM for the sales update.
Just wondering how Elliott's CD sales compare to the other two chosen Target artists this year?
If this has already been asked and answered, my apologies. I'm catching up. :fangirly:

per Pulse:
Taylor Swift "Sounds Of The Season"
Sales this week: 13,428
Cume: 66,664
no one knows Tunstall's cume, as she doesn't appear on the charts with her offering, and doesn't have Ken Barnes reporting her weeklies. :-)
It was a huge sales week, and you had to basically sell 8K to even be in the Billboard 200.
jamie50 - December 21, 2007 07:14 PM (GMT)
I'm impressed with Elliott's Xmas sales. Taylor Swift sold more albums last week than Carrie (whose album is newer.) She just got a BNA Grammy nod and is projected to sell another ton of albums this week. She got the Rockefeller Tree Lighting gig. I haven't seen any TV/Radio promo of E's Xmas CDs at all. I finally heard him sing one Xmas song on the radio live for the first time yesterday . She's only outselling him by 30K. I think with some TV exposure, his numbers would be closer to matching hers.
I looked up Taylor's numbers and her album will go past 2 Million this week. I wouldn't be surprised if she goes 3xPlatinum eventually. So E's numbers look even better to me. By the way, I like Taylor Swift and downloaded her single and I'm not a country music fan at all.
chloewannabee - December 21, 2007 09:37 PM (GMT)
I was in Target, and they had a lot of the Xmas cd, so I arranged them so that every row had Elliott in front. Then the second row had a few copies of his regular cd, going across. I couldnt fill the second row, cause there were'nt enough, and I wanted to leave some where they really belonged. :elliottski:

Is anybody still having trouble finding the Christmas cd? There seems to be plenty at my local Target. I could pick up however many you wanted and send them out, but I don't think I could get them to you by Christmas. Just send me a pm.
