Happy Day after Christmas Shopping,

I just got back from my Target (the only one in an 80 mile radius for me) and I am happy to say that they are completely sold out of Elliott's Christmas CD. :santarotfl:

I'm not nornally an after-Christmas shopper, but last year I was in WalMart and saw that they had the Christmas CD's for half price. So I was at my local Target shortly after they opened this morning. They still had many Elliott CD's. I suspect the reason they had so many in stock is that I bought so many before Christmas and they anticipated a great demand. So I headed straight to the music section and to my disappointment there were no signs up on the Christmas display. I wandered over to the seasonal section without much interest and overheard two ladies asking a clerk to scan something to see if it was on sale. HaHa, a light bulb!! So I went back to the music section, found a clerk and he scanned several different CDs and said that they were all half price. I made him confirm twice that Elliiott's was half price and then I swooped them all up along with one of K.T. Tunsell's (Taylor Swift was sold out) and headed for the checkout.

I feel like I just won the lottery. :)

oooohhh, half price?? Thanks for the heads up!! I might have to make a trip to Target today :)

I was doing some last minute Christmas shopping on 12/23 and Elliott's Xmas cd was already sold out.

Same here -- I was in Target over the weekend and couldn't even find the display. The sales person said that they were sold out.

The last time I was at my Target, they had a lot of them. I think I'll make a trip after work today, and pick up a bunch

and all sales count toward the SoundScan, regardless of price. :-)
stock up for next year's gift baskets, or send them to the troops.

Thanks for the tip-heading out the door right now! :elliottcap:

I just listened to K.T. Tunsell's CD. It is also very good. I'm going to play it again in a few minutes.

I think Elliott's CD is so good that it's going to become a classic. Even if he reissues it next year (which I fervently hope he does) with some additional songs, the Target CD will be in demand for years to come.

Just got back from Target. At first I looked in the regular music section of the store, and asked a man in a red shirt (who I thought was an employee) where the Christmas CD's were...turned out he was just a shopper in a red shirt...:santarotfl: Then I found an employee (looked for a name tag this time) and asked him, and he told me they were in the seasonal section. (could have avoided all of this if I had headed onlyforelliott's post lol)

On a side note...on the way there, at first I was listening to Elliott's regular CD...then I turned on my local AC station, and the first voice I hear is Elliott's singing WFY. :)

Just got back from Target. No Elliott CD's or Sounds of the Season CD. I was told, "Elliott Yamin is a very popular artist and we cannot keep in stock!" I'll hit the other Target's tomorrow. I did hear One Word at 5:09 p.m. on Q94.5 Richmond.

Yeah, I have yet to find a Target that actually had a copy of the E Christmas CD in stock. :-\ Although they've all had his self-titled on the "Best Sellers" rack.

I'll keep looking, though! I still don't have it and I wanna support him.

For all you Richmonders wondering where all the Sounds of the Season cds are, I found them. They're in Duluth, Minnesota, and they're half price (that's $3.72 with tax). If you want one or a dozen, pm me.

I went to Target last night here in Huntsville, Alabama and bought the last six of Elliott's Sounds of the Season CD's. The cashier looked at me like I was crazy, but I told her she just didn't understand our passion - LOL! :xmascheerleader:
If anyone still needs one, I'll be happy to share.....Barbie

Here's to a great 2008 - I know we're in for another treat! :xmasetrain:

HI Y'all,I must say Elliotts Sounds of the Season Christmas CD is brillant! All I can say is "One Word"Emazin!Elliott can blow on this CD!I have not been to my 3 local Target stores in a wail, but maybe tomorrow I will make a trip to Target and see if they have any Elliott Christmas CDs left!I bought 4 Elliott Christmas CDs just after they came out in Oct.and I have none left.I heard that Elliott now owns the master of his Christmas CD so if Elliott wants to add any more songs to it for next you he can.I also heard that Elliott will be comming out with another Christmas CD next year, but you never now that could change! :hapiholidays: :1word: :elliottelliott: :elliottcap: :xmasetrain: 4 LIFE!!!

AngELL - December 28, 2007 12:32 AM (GMT)
I bought 10 and a bunch of tiny bows 1/2 price to stick on over the price, ha! I told the cashier there were a couple left and she'd better grab them for herself...

onlyforelliott - December 28, 2007 01:53 PM (GMT)
I'm saving my extra copies for next year. I'd get even more if there were another Target a reasonable distance away.

BTW, I think that K. T. Tunsell also put out an excellent CD for Target. I highly recommend that if you go to Target to get some of Elliott's CD that you also get a copy of K. T.'s.

sandyb - December 28, 2007 08:41 PM (GMT)
No luck in my area getting more of Elliott's Christmas CD. I was told that all holiday items packed and shipped back. Grrrr! That temper of mine really comes out when I can get Elliott's cd's. Supply is always scarce in this area. I'm fuming over lack thereof. If it's not available, it can't be sold. He's working his butt off. I want him to get the recognition he deserves.

skiddlybop - December 29, 2007 01:39 AM (GMT)
I hope that Elliott will retire one of the songs when he creates a full-length holiday CD and makes this first piece a true collector's item. Then about five years out, he can make another set and use that track as a bonus.

Wow, Nanesetta, that is great to hear! "Elliott Yamin is a very popular artist and we cannot keep in stock!" I hope that continues for years to come!
