I just happened to come across this video from Hollywood week "Almost" 2 years ago...This is an 8+ minute video featuring Elliott's initial journey to Hollywood. I loved watching it...You can see what a genuine, humble soul he was from the very beginning and WHY we have all followed his career from the VERY beginning...I even had tears of joy watching our boy!!! I personally do not recall ever seeing this complete video ever posted...

For x-mas, I just made my mom a dvd including that video, and all of E's performances on AI till the very, bittersweet end.

We watched it the other night and thought how wonderful it was that E and Sway have stayed such good pals, and I wonder where ol' Mr. short shirts and socks is today...

I also DVD'd this one a while back. It's one of my favorites too and my first memory of noticing Elliott. When he opened his mouth to sing I went "WHOA" !!!!! Yes, another must see video for E lovers! Thanks Nana.....

I got a DVD on EBay that has all Elliott's AI performances for myself for Christmas, but I want to be alone when I watch it and so far I haven't been (I guess I'm lucky, but could my loved ones leave me the heck alone for at least a little while).

I haven't watched that in SO LONG! I love that video. So cute, "We'll work it out . . . " during breakfast. I wish, wish, wish I could hear what that Terrell has to say now.

I sure know that feeling! hahaha....since I don't have any E fans in the house either but I'm not giving up!

Such fun to watch this again. It has always seemed eerie to me that in the back row from the left stand Elliott....Kat.....Taylor. What are the odds?

Also, I hate to give the stupid twin credit for anything but I have often wondered if his little rant didn't bring extra focus on the group and wonder if this is where 'fate' stepped in. After all, they were the second group to perform and I think they sometimes hesitate to pass too many thru right off the getgo since there is only room for so many. Elliott's destiny began with this audition and look at him now!!!

That was so fun to watch again! I want a DVD of Elliotts' AI performances...how can I get one? Tried ebay...no luck. :(

I never get tired of watching that video.
Besides Elliott's stellar voice, what always impresses me is how he kept it together in the face of Terrell's rant and how he stood up for himself and Sway.
I cry every time I see the part where Paula tells him he made the top 12 and he cried tears of joy-- gets me every time.

One thing I could never understand is this-- am I tone deaf or was Anthony really that bad? I always thought he sounded better than Terrell. Did anyone notice that Anthony came back to try out for season 6 and didn't make it?

Watching these old AI video's is very nostalgic. As people point out, it is quite interesting that Taylor, Kat, and E are next to eachother......in that order.

I just notced that after the 3 are chosen to go on and Terrell chooses to then bash Anthony as being tone deaf, there is Elliott shaking his head "no way". He has always been such a class act.

I noticed this time that it looked like he was the first one to go over and hug Randy when the 12 were announced. I love looking at these videos. Thanks!

I think it's safe to say they have had their 15 minutes of fame. I really don't see Randy, Paula & Simon putting them through to Hollywood, especially if they passed on Anthony again last season. I also thought Anthony sounded MUCH better than 'the twin'. *sigh* Hard to believe there are TWO of them... :blink: LOL

I just loved how E made light of the 'drama' at breakfast, but made sure to defend himself when Mr. "I wanted to rehearse, they wouldn't, I was up till 5:30am & I STILL forgot the dayum words to the song" tried to trash E. It is amazing to see how much Elliott has changed, yet, also managed to stay the same. *sigh* I sure do loves him. :awe:

If American Idol has really allowed these two undeserving loud mouths to get another opportunity to appear on tv, then they have sunk even lower then I thought possible. They had their chance. I am sure there were more talented people who were turned away.

Many believe that AI has lost that special quality that made it so enjoyable. I didn't care a whit about AI6 and don't have much hope for AI7. In MHO, there will never be another AI5.

WOW...When I found this video the other night, I was so proud to see our boy Elliott standing there just as calm, cool and collective during the entire process.

I never dreamed it would turn into a controversial thread...BUT I will say the integrity of American Idol will go down the tubes if they give the Brat Boys a second chance! Look what they did to "Frenchie"...she was a phenomenal singer and has moved on to Broadway. UUUUUrgh...I must say I am a little aggravated with AI right now!

Sorry, I did not mean to make this controversial. I've always got a kick out of the Terrell. My son and I watch that video at least once every couple weeks and just laugh like crazy everytime.

A few things that make us laugh:

We decided to everyone would take a shower with "hot" water...
We were going to "scalvage" another rehearsal....SCALVAGE???
How he snaps his fingers when he forgets his words near the end of his part.
How he changes his wrath to Anthony after the performance.
Of course shorts,shirts and socks

Terrell is just so full of himself, that I find him amusing, especially since we know the outcome is good. If things were different, it might not be so funny. In the big picture, AI is a TV show and the twins bring ratings. In the article I found, it does not say they make it to Hollywood, just past the intial round in Atlanta, so maybe there is no need for alarm.

Wouldn't it be funny if Terrell did make top 24 and Elliott go to be a guest judge? :santarotfl:

I liked the twins first audition but what he did to Elliott and Sway was wrong. Terrell was horrible while singing with the group too. lol Oh yes, I liked Anthony. He tried out for AI6 but didn't make it to Hollywood.

I love watching Elliott roll his eyes and shake his head "NO" when Terrell was saying that it was all Anthony's fault because he was tone deaf. What a jerk!! I love watching Sway kind of scrunch his shoulders in disgust. And I say, the heck with those type of ratings, just bring on some talent again and the ratings will take care of themselves. In my dreams probably. :pray:

I just watched the AOL music video of Free.......it is really, really good. It highlights the marvelous blend of Elliott and Sway voices. And this archive video is a reminder of how their friendship began. I have an idea that Elliott will bring Sway along with him on his musical career. Two nice guys.

I love everything about Elliott he has talent, but more so he has heart.
You would never see Elliott diss someone on national TV. Elliott just has to much class for that.

My 2 cents about the twins WHO CARES?
I could care less if AI comes back or not if that's the best America has to offer for season 7.
