Title: Family Gras In New Orleans
Description: Free Elliott concert!

jllopez - January 4, 2008 01:46 PM (GMT)
I do not know when he is performing, but Elliott will be performing at Family Gras this year. The Festival is January 25th - 27th.

Family Gras is a free concert on the neutral ground on the Metairie Parade Routes. It is directly across from Lakeside Shopping Center on Veterans Hwy. Here is a link http://www.neworleansgateway.com/familyGras.html#lineup

You really should concider coming and bringing the kids too. Metairie is where the "Family" Parades are, New Orleans and Bourbon Street are where the drunken out-of-town Flashers go (and you thought it was the locals who did that. No way!) The link has hotel packages also.

As soon as I find out the day and time of the performance, I will let you guys know.

Hannah Montana and Little Richard? Who could ask for anything more?

Hannah Montana
The New Orleans Arena, 4 p.m.
1501 Girod Street, CBD
Tickets: Yah, right!
Resources: The New Orleans Arena's website | Hannah Montana's website

Oh, the humanity! Say what you will, but I guess it's a sign of New Orleans recovery that the world's most popular touring artist is stopping buy for a gig at the Arena. At this point, tickets to the sold-out-in-three-seconds show are the stuff dreams are made of, but if you got 'em, congrats! Enjoy yourself, take lots of photos, and then upload them on NOLA for the rest of us to see.

Little Richard
Boomtown Casino, 8 p.m.
4132 Peters Road, Harvey
Tickets: $35
Resources: Boomtown Casino | Little Richard's WIKI

Can you believe Little Richard is 75 years old? The creator of "Tutti Frutti, "Long Tall Sally" and "Good Golly, Miss Molly" is headlining our very own Boomtown Casino Saturday night, and given the current status of Hannah Montana tickets, this is probably your best bet.

Type in "elliot" on youtube, pages 16 &19 &22 have small "snippets" of Elliott's set at the Family Gras in New Orleans. Small to be sure , one is 30 seconds, one is 43 seconds and one is 1 min. 50 seconds. Don't know if anyone has found anything better yet. If so, please let us know!! :elliottcap:

My little girl caught a terrible virus on MLK Day that caused her to run fever for 5 days. It was so rainy and cold that day....we had to miss it. She kept asking me, "Momma, is Elliott on yet?" I felt so bad for her. it was her only chance to see him, unless he does an arena tour.

Did anyone go?

Sorry that your daughter was sick and that you all could not go to see Elliott. I hope that she's better now. Some E-Train members did go.
