For the first time in a long time, there seems no place to vote or request !

Is there anything that we should be doing ?

ive been requesting one word at the stations in chicago...ive gotten in like a billion times but they wont play it!!!!!

We hope for a national television appearance. Right now while the late night shows are booking mainly animal experts, comdeians and musicians would be prime time for that to happen. That exposure would do wonders... I have my fingers crossed.

I still request at Sirius one to three times a day.

I am contacting my local stations who are playing Wait for You and telling them it is my favorite song from 2007 and hope to hear more Elliott Yamin music in 2008.

Another thing we can be doing is stream the video or the song at AOL Music, Youtube, Yahoo, VH1, wherever we find it. Remember that WFY video was the #3 video for most clicks in 2007. Let's show whoever is watching that there is interest in this song.

Good ideas - I guess fanbases need to keep busy - I know everything will be fine, but we need projects.

I think there's going to be a couple of months where there's not a lot tangible to do - and that's probably a good indicator that Elliott's career is safely launched and he can take some time to prepare his next project. In the meantime, what kinds of things would Elliott like to see his fanbase do? I can't speak for him - but maybe continue to bring him up in conversation and play his music when we can get new people to listen. Tell people about his USO Tour during the time it's taking place - they will be impressed. Continue to listen to and support Wait for You on AC - once it's on that format, it's probably got a lifetime membership - ha! Support other good music and musicians, support local music, support other good causes in our community - especially those related to JDRF. Use this break to expend our energy in other good and constructive ways until it is time again to voice our support for a new single, new CD or other new project. Just my thoughts and intentions....

I'll just speculate as to why Elliott's One Word video has been listed on vh1's vspot during the holidays as a FLAME only to disappear for the FIRST New Year Top 20 countdown 1/05/08!!! We voted ALL through the holidays NOT to see it even on the list anymore?!?

I always hated requesting - I felt embarrassed to do that.
Now I miss our OHP nights.

I saw on AOL that Dr. Phil has spoken to her just after she checked out of the hospital. No comment on Phil from me.......I just feel badly for her and hope she gets the Psychological help she needs for herself and her family.

ETA: Also, think of the equation Privacy = Sanity. Those two things balance well for Elliott and I hope continue to do so.

I have been streaming OW at various sites all day ! I think leaving comments at YouTube is good also...and Nancy thanks for the great post !

I know we all enjoy checking out the latest Elliott news and congregating here to discuss our favorite Idol, but maybe we should "spread the word" by spending time in other (non-Elliott) forums we enjoy, and just inject a little bit of E-magic. Talk him up, including the great things he's been doing for the JRDF, the USO tour, his music, etc. Just spread the "good news" about Elliott.

I won an Elliott CD recently by posting at another blog. Since I already had a couple, I gave it to a guy I sing with at church (young African American guy who is really talented -- brings to mind a cross between Josh Groban and Brian McKnight). He had heard "Wait for You" but was blown away after listening to the CD. He really wants to see him perform live. I'm going to send him links to some of my favorite YouTube performances of Elliott's.

So we can still help recruit new E-fans!!!
