The reigning ACM and CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, 2x Grammy winner, and 2x 2008 Grammy nominee Carrie Underwood has just announced a headline concert tour with 30-plus shows that will launch in February 2008, the “Carnival Ride Tour.” Joining her as special guest is Josh Turner. As announced previously, Carrie will also co-headline dates with Keith Urban on the “Love, Pain & the whole crazy Carnival Ride Tour,” which kicks off January 31, 2008.
“I’m so excited to be hitting the road and doing the full show of my music that I have always dreamt of doing,” says Carrie. “I have been so fortunate to learn from so many other great artists while touring with them, and they have inspired me in so many ways. They have helped me to get to this stage of my first real headline shows, and now I finally feel ready. I can’t wait to travel throughout the U.S. and Canada and see all my fans.”
Carrie’s current album Carnival Ride has reached double-platinum selling status and contains the 3-week #1 smash “So Small.” She wrapped 2007 as Billboard’s Top Country Artist and Top Country Artist – Female (both based on sales and airplay) and #1 among Top Country Album Artists (based on sales). Outside the country categories, Carrie’s success has transcended to the all-genre Billboard 200 Artist Recap as the #1 best-selling female artist of the 2007 chart year. Her debut album, Some Hearts, has sold in excess of 6.1 million copies and still climbing, and became the best-selling female country debut in history. No album – in any genre – to release since Some Hearts (on November 15, 2005) has surpassed the disc’s powerhouse sales to date. On the airplay front, the 2007 Year in Music recap from R&R reflects the strength of Carrie’s support at country radio, where she was the year’s #1 female artist.
The first round of “Carnival Ride Tour” dates go on sale this Saturday, January 12, with more dates to be announced soon.

Is this seriously the FIRST tour she's done???????????????
Being the headline act & not the opening act of a tour...yup. Clive & his merryment of the artist stranglehold at its finest.
I know it will be a good show tho, she has so many great songs. And her newest single, All American Girl, is a great song as well.
Congratulations to Carrie. Her concerts close to me are on school nights, so we can't go. If they were on weekends, I'd try to get tickets. I like Carrie and her music. Working with Clive works for her. She often thanks him.
I guess the only things I have against Clive are:
!) the way he kind of dismissed Elliott in the top three interviews
2) the way he put down Taylor at the AI 6 finale
Anyway, regardless of Clive, Good luck to Carrie. She's an amazing performer. She seems like a nice person too.
I LOVE Carrie Underwood! I am hoping to see her in a few months with Keith Urban (if i can get tickets).
