Those are resales. People buy CDs (probably on sale) and then re-sell them on Amazon. I wonder if anyone will buy the CD that price.

What a deal! They probably bought it on sale and now that it is off the market think they will make a big profit. More power to them if they can get a buyer! :elliottcap:

Personally, I think it's pretty sleazy to try and rip people off like that. C'mon even if they paid the full price of 6.99.................................

I've gone as high as $29 for Clay's Christmas CD that was sold out and that's about as high as I'll go. Seems VERY steep to me. I'm sure you can get them on Ebay for cheaper than that!

I totally agree with you. I did not mean to sound like I approved of it being done. I hate it when people try to take advantage. The year that Elliott was on tour with AI, we tried to get tickets for the Tacoma venue and scalpers had bought up most of the tickets an then resold them for twice the price.

Actually, here in the East(where that's pretty much the standard), I never saw any of that for Elliott's concerts. The Ai concerts were a different story, although, we learned pretty quickly, to buy those tix at the box office the morning of the show. We went to 5 of those and never had a seat further back than the 4th row center! And even better, we never paid more than face value.Legally, the box office can't jack up the price.

and the two shows I saw... one bought on line was way up in the balcony, far from the stage.. while the other bought the day before from the box office was in the 8th row.
Don't get me started about "legal" scalpers :rotfl:

Well, is it still there? As much as i love Elliott, I would not pay that much when I bought his album the first day it came out for 6.95 and gave copes to my daughters and friends!
