Title: U Turn Magazine
Description: Elliott Interviewed
Linda4Elliott - January 18, 2008 03:15 AM (GMT)
I was lucky enough to acquire a copy of a magazine featuring Elliott on the cover with an interview and a couple of nice pictures inside. The magazine is called
U Turn and is distributed on college campuses. This is the spring 2008 issue and it has a circulation of 1 million. :)

The print is so tiny, it is difficult to read. Is there a way for me to post it so you can zoom in?
It also says at the top of the mag (small print), that it is a Barnes and Noble publication
wowhesgood - January 18, 2008 03:32 AM (GMT)
Again, another great interview by Elliott, great pictures and great exposure to the college crowd!!!
Thanks Linda :elliottcap:

Elliott says that after his CD was released he found a couple of bad reviews.
I don't remember any really bad reviews. The worsts were saying that Elliott's talent deserves better songs - which is not such a bad review.

I love the interview...thanks for posting...

So he says he's going back into the studio in january after his vacation to start working on the next cd... Is vacation over? Is Elliott recording now?! It 's exciting to think about!!!!
ohioguy45780 - January 18, 2008 04:21 AM (GMT)
U Turn is distributed via the student newspaper at most college campuses; great promotional work here by Croshal and Three Rings.

I hope he is, and that we get an EARLY release of new single during the current AI season. Even if it's a Feb/Mar launch, that's easy for a June album CD release date.
They could release and promote the first single, and build it on radio, while they work on the rest of the album.

I heard that he's back from his vacation, so I guess he'll be starting on that album soon.

Thanks Linda! I think this is the same magazine I have coming in the mail from a nice young lady that posted on I think it was B's myspace. She said she snagged 20 copies and would mail a copy to anyone who was interested. Of course, no moss grew under my feet, I sent her a message right away. Note to self CHECK MY MAILBOX. LOL
MOMster - January 18, 2008 01:07 PM (GMT)
good job Linda! How did you know about this magazine in the first place?
That's the same cover as the October 2007 Diabetes Forecast. my sister just sent me the DF magazine two days ago - it was in the waiting room at the doctor office she works at so she nabbed it!

Fantastic article. Thanks for posting it! Love how articulate he is. Even after hearing and reading so many Elliott interviews, in every new one there's always some new little factoid or thought or turn of phrase that I've never heard before that really catches my attention. Such a thoughtful, interesting guy.
What a great marketing move.

I got it from the girl that HW mentioned. She had posted a comment to Brandon on his myspace. I pm'd her right away, and she promptly sent me a copy. VERY nice of her.

LOL The benefits of paying attention to myspace comments. My copy has probably been in my mail box for a couple of days now. That's what I get for being lazy. :rotfl:
georgiafan1 - January 18, 2008 03:16 PM (GMT)
Thanks for the heads-up about the article and thanks for the online links.
Elliott gives great interviews. It's major that so many college students will be able to read it.
I'm excited about the new CD. 2008 will be another Elliott year. :elliottcap:
MOMster - January 18, 2008 03:25 PM (GMT)
everybody - email all your college friends, nieces, nephews, kids with the link and see if they have seen it. I'd love to know what kind of response you get.
terriberriez - January 18, 2008 03:28 PM (GMT)
lol I don't have any classes today or Monday (for MLK) but this gives me reason to get my lazy butt up and drive to campus to see if I can get a copy. Finally, being a college student pays off! lol

I wonder why Elliott would have to fill out job applications post-Idol. Did that strike anyone else as odd? When would he have had time for a job?

I'm betting that he misspoke... maybe other kinds of applications - credit apps for housing, car, etc. I can't imagine why he'd fill out a job app! :)
