Title: Elliott's Relationship With Target

John Legend had a "Sounds of the Season" CD with Target in 2006. I noticed in the Target add that came in last Sunday's paper (1/13) that John Legend has yet another Target exclusive CD. I was just wondering if Elliott might have a similar contract and if he will be putting out a full lenght cd for Target in 2008. Anyone know?

I saw that, also Peppers....it is a LIVE CD. I would love a live CD from Elliott!!! With the success of the SOS, maybe he will get a deal like this. Target has two options for John Legend Live. One is just the CD on sale right now for 9.99 and the CD and a bonus DVD for 13.99. I love John Legend, so I will probably buy this.

I too saw this Target ad for John Legend.
Target music execs are really smart doing these sorts of deals. I hope that Elliott's successful SOTS will move him up the list for a similar "live" collaboration in the future.
Lord knows Elliott kicks butt live, so it would be an incredible CD.

I'd kill for a live Elliott Cd. I bought the JL one DVD version. It's good, a few great songs, but I'd so much rather have another Elliott option.

Lots of good things are gonna happen for Elliott this year, and a "live" cd would be the icing on the cake!!! :surprise:

A live CD would be totally awesome! It does make me wonder about the on-again/off-again recording that was supposed to have taken place at the NorVa show.

I wondered about that, too, He seemed so pumped to do a live album. Maybe it was a contractual thing with Hickory, and his second Hickory CD needs to be all new stuff (not that I have a problem with that)!

I wondered about that when I saw the Target exclusive and the tv ads for it. It seems to be a trend right now for artists to go exclusive w/ one big distributor.
