Title: Leaves Many Speechless

imthesame - January 23, 2008 10:56 PM (GMT)
This morning I was listening to my AC station now that WFY is being played there. The morning show is mostly talk with Dino and Stacy (I think), so I really didn't except to hear WFY on my way to work. Right after I turned on the car radio, Dino said "and here is Elliott Yamin with Wait for You" (they hardly ever say who they are playing so I enjoyed this). Anyway, Elliott finished the song with his beautiful - "I'll be waiting . . ." and then there was complete (and awkward silence) - the gal DJ finally whispered, "we're waiting" and Dino said, "oh, wow, I'm sorry - it's over. I'm not sure that I like the way that guy ends his song - I was still waiting". Elliott not only leaves me speechless, but also leaves the "talky DJ's" speechless. I enjoyed having Elliott be a topic of their conversation and laughter this morning.

that's pretty funny - whatever it takes to get people thinking and talking about Elliott is fine with me!

I just loved how that auditioner the other night (Paul Stafford), who butchered WFY, made sure to include the big sigh at the end. Too funny!!!

Great story, thanks.
