Title: Bucky In Concert
Description: Just fabulous

My daughter and I had a great time at the Bucky concert in York, PA Friday night. It wasn't a big (or loud) crowd, but Bucky gave his all. His personality is a hundred miles wide and he has such fun on stage. He never (and I mean never!) stopped moving, dancing (Bucky slide!!!!) and grinning. His voice is fantastic - I have to say that again because I hardly believe it myself - I didn't think he was very good on Idol - his voice is fantastic! If you like his CD, you will love hearing him in concert.
He and Rocky really pick on each other during the concert. Bucky made him come out at the very beginning and he gave him a hard time about something Rocky asked him on the bus right before the show. Rocky had wanted to know if his shirt made his butt look big! Bucky told us that he told him on the bus it didn't, and that brought a huge smile to Rocky's face, but as he went back to the rear of the stage (Rocky is the percussionist), he yelled that it did make his gut look big! But of course, it doesn't - Rocky is just as skinny as Bucky is.
After the first song, Bucky apologized to the audience if his pants fell down; he forgot to bring his belt. Between songs he kept having to pull his pants up. Of course, he kept getting comments from the girls in the audience to just let them fall down. The second song he sang is my daughter's and my favorite - "Back When We Were Gods". There's a part in the song where he and his friends moon the police from the windows of their car. Bucky walked to the edge of the stage, turned his back and stuck out his butt as he sang that part. He knew there were kids in the audience so he didn't pull his pants down. We were disappointed, of course, but still it's another way of showing he knows and appreciates his audience.
Rocky and Bucky did a duet about halfway through the show. Well, a duet for the first few lines anyway; it's mostly Rocky's song and Bucky is content to stand back and play guitar for most of it. Rocky has a nice voice too, though he doesn't have the moves that his brother does.
He sang about five or six songs from his album. He also did an Elvis number, a Pink Floyd song and a couple of others I didn't recognize. My daughter is much more of a country/rock fan that I am, so she knew everything he sang, and she was really impressed.
We didn't stick around after the concert - my daughter gets embarrassed by my fangirliness - so I didn't get a chance to talk to him. But there were a lot of people waiting and some of them have been to a number of his concerts so it looked like he was going to come out to meet everyone. Next time I'm staying; she can walk home if she doesn't wait with me.

Aw - thanks for the recap. I would probably go see Bucky if he were in my town too - he's like another one of my boys! I'm so glad he's getting to do what he loves and having such a great time!

Oh, I'm extremely jealous! LOL His concert sounds just like I'd imagine it to be. Glad it was good and you had fun. I keep checking his website hoping he'll get to Denver but no luck yet. I'll definitely go see him when I get a chance. I always thought he had a nice voice.

Great recap. Thanks for sharing. I'm very happy for Bucky. I see on his MySpace that he is booked for concerts until July 5, 2008. Good for him. He always seemed so happy when performing.
Bucky has a poll on his MySpace which asks the fans to vote on which song should be the next single released to radio. If anyone has an opinion on that, you can still vote.
If anyone is a Bucky fan and has MySpace, you may want to become his MySpace friend. You will receive bulletins quite often and he or someone updates his Myspace when something comes up.

I see he's coming back near me again in June (Reinholds, PA). I'll be there for sure! Anyone from PA/Jersey wanna make it a group trip?
