My 24 yr. old daughter, didn't watch AI5, because she had just moved out of the house and did not have cable. Previous years, we had always watched together and picked our favorites, usually we were in agreement.

So I had told her all about Elliott, bought her the regular CD, gave her the bonus tracks, and bought her the Sounds of the Season CD. She is a musician, a piano instructor, plays multiple instruments, and is music snob. (in a good way) She has grudgingly admitted to me that she likes him and thinks he is talented, but I could tell that she was still not entirely won over. I just knew in my heart that if she had watched AI and saw what we had witnessed, she would love him like we do.

I purchased a DVD of Elliott's performances from an old link I found on here. It is performances only, no judges comments, stories, etc....( I wish I had one with everything.) She stopped by tonight and I said she should take it home and watch it. She said her boyfriend probably wouldn't want to, so she would come over another night and watch it, since now, she had to go get groceries. I said, can you watch just a couple of songs? So we did.

IYRLM was probably about half way through when she said, OH, I NEED TO TAKE THIS HOME, HE IS SO GOOD!!!!! :hooray: :cheerleaders: :elliottelliott:

I knew, with her music appreciation that she would LOVE him!!! :awe:

You may want to check on Ebay too. I got one that had the judges comments and all the commercials as well as the performances and intros to each performance...taped interviews and Ryan Seacrest stuff, Hollywood Round stuff etc... AND it has the Richmond Homecoming clip and the Had a Bad Day clip...those two alone made it worth it!! Sorry...I don't remember who I bought it from.

Thank You so much for the link. I just ordered one. My daughter is 21 and she was here the other night when Elliott singing MMFL was playing on my iPod. After a few minutes, she said "Wow, he can really sing". She as well sings, plays 2 intstruments, etc but only for fun now. Horses are her passion, which is why she is majoring in History. She never wants a paying job, I guess. So, whatever, the point is : She has gone from thinking he's OK, to Wow he can really sing. So we may have another convert soon. btw, looking at your picture, you have a 24 year old? How is that possible?

Awwwwwww, such a wonderful story hon!! Anyone that truly knows ANYTHING about music, would just have NO CHOICE, but to fall in love with Elliott, his story, and his voice!

I also happened upon another huge Elliott fan on a game site that I play on. When I told her all my experiences with Elliott she was floored and said that she wished he would come to Cali..and I was like, um, he LIVES THERE!! lol;) I told her he had been there, but if she wanted to keep up on his tour schedule, new music and anything else "E" to join the E-train;) Forget the Army, E-TRAIN WANTS YOU!! Join the Army you could go to Iraq, but join the E-train you'll be on the right TRACK!!!

My 31 yr. old daughter has been a fan ever since she went with me to see him at Innsbrook. Now she's asking me when we are going to see him again. She started out favoring Chris Daughtry but after seeing Elliott live, there's no question who's her favorite is now!
