order restored to the universe.
The Patriots were revealed as CHEATERS over the last few days.
So much for the "best team ever". No soup for you, Brady!
:rocker: to the Giants...great game.
Eyess2NKiss - February 4, 2008 03:54 AM (GMT)
It's an Eli GIANT year!!! HIGH HOPES FOR '08!!!
Rick1965 - February 4, 2008 03:55 AM (GMT)
The only thing missing was Elliott during the half time show...that was probably the only thing that would have made me tune in...not a football fan...still...congratulations to the Giants.
Does anyone know if Tom Petty had any wardrobe malfunctions???
(EWWWWW.... the thought of that makes me shiver!)
bear88 - February 4, 2008 03:55 AM (GMT)
ONE WORD, All I can say is AMAZING!!
wowhesgood - February 4, 2008 04:00 AM (GMT)
Huge, huge congrats to the Giants team, coaches , organization and fans. Their defense rocked Brady, Eli played great. I couldn't be happier!!!! It was a fantastic game. Few gave the Giants a chance but I've been rooting for them since the last game they played against the Pats. I felt they were the team that could beat them.
Cheaters never prosper (sorry Pat's fans but I do not like Bill B, he was classless tonight).
Tom Petty had no wardrobe malfunctions and was great. He looks much better w/ a beard, imo.
Jordin did a great job w/ the NA as well. :)
Eyess2NKiss - February 4, 2008 04:09 AM (GMT)

chloewannabee - February 4, 2008 04:26 AM (GMT)
Did anyone see the big guy who was walking next to Coughlin after the last play? His khaki pants were soaked, from the gatorade bath that was thrown on Coughlin, but landed more on him? Okay, ya know which guy i'm talking about? His name is Mike Murphy, and he has been a cop in my town, and a friend for the last 20 years. He started working for the Giants back in '88, when Parcells hired him as a bodyguard. He stayed in that capacity for a few years, still does security for the giants, and also doesa lot of the strength training! He's a legend in our town now, all the kids call him MURFQUAKE! He does a lot of work with the young kids in town. Great guy!!!

That report this week was bull..the NFL has said there was absolutely no truth to it...It's just a lot of jealous people who don't like all the Pat's success. They are a great team. Congrats to the Giants. they won fair and square...but don't forget that there are Pats fans here too...and this is not the place to bash them...I was totally depressed after the game and came here to get away from it. Thanks.

With all of the pandemonium going on in my house after the game-- the first person I thought of was you!!

I also came on this board to relax after the game to read about Elliott news and felt bashed by this board. I am happy for the Giants fans but do not see the need for any of this. I am not even a huge sports fan but we New Englanders do love the PATS.

I didn't watch the game as close as I usually do ( not a Giants fan OR Patriot fan)...just wondering, did Paula perform or was that just a rumor a few weeks ago?

sorry about the name calling, but as far as his press conference, just calling it like I see it, Even the sportscasters had more than a few remarks about his demeanor.

Woo-hoo! Congrats to the Giants and all of their fans! I'm a die-hard Steeler fan, but I am sooo happy the Giants won. I literally am almost as happy as if it was my own team who won. Thank you Giants! I love an underdog. ;) I was so into the game. It was tremendous, and the best team won. The defense was outstanding the entire game, and Eli got the job done. That play where he wiggled out of the impending sack and completed the pass to the receiver (Tyree) who caught the ball holding it against his helmet...that was one of the best plays I've ever seen. Congratulations NY Giants!!! And, thank you for beating the Patriots. You earned it!!! :)
georgiafan1 - February 4, 2008 05:39 AM (GMT)
Way to go, Giants! Congrats, Giants' fans. Baby brother Manning really pulled it together.
We Falcons' fans can only imagine your joy. Our motto is "Wait till next year." *sigh* :rotfl:

Love a underdog win and my dh a die hard Giants fan for yrs!
Best moment, seeing Peyton so happy for his brother, now they both have super bowl wins, their mom must have been a nervous wreck last night..

Great post. You are so right. That catch by Tyree was truly amazing and I am glad Plaxico caught the game winner (he's from Chesapeake, VA). What a great game. They truly deserved the win.

Yea, that's what I thought too. Not one congrats to the team and its coaches that whooped um. It is pretty bad when Randy Moss is a more gracious loser. Now, didn't Bill get fined by the league for cheating? So, we're not calling names. I was so tired of hearing about nothing but the Patriots all during December, January. Yes, they've got a great team and accomplished a lot but they were not the best team at the end of the season. Pat's fans have much to be proud of, there are some great players on that team, but sorry, I've no respect for the Pat's head coach. Pat's fans, you deserve better than Bill, he's tarnished your team and their accomplishments.

Chloe - I am really happy for you. Congratulations - I'm glad you had such a wonderful happy day.
I was rooting for a perfect season for the Pats; I'm sorry it was spoiled, and feel bad for their fans.
chloewannabee - February 4, 2008 02:18 PM (GMT)
Despite his bitter disappointment, I thought even Brady was a gracious ok non- winner.Oh by the way, where was coach at the final snap? oh yea, he walked off the field before it was officially over. Shame on you B.B.
Carryviking - February 4, 2008 04:51 PM (GMT)
My congratulations to the Giants and their fans! That was one great game! To the Pats fans, you have nothing to be ashamed of. Such a great season, wish my team would do a lot better. But happy for Eli and seeing Peyton so happy for younger brother was a good thing :) Congrats to the Giants fans on here. :cheerleaders:
Crazycate - February 4, 2008 08:16 PM (GMT)
You know, I have a lot to say about this matter. Number one, as a native New Yorker, I have heard nothing but how much the Yankees suck from Boston fans forever. So please, let us behave as you have for a little bit longer.
Now, I know how destroyed I felt when the Sox completely destroyed us in 2004 -- it was a hard pill to swallow. Nonetheless, Boston beat us fair and square and deserved to go on to their first World Series since 1918. So I do feel for you disheartened and crushed New Englanders -- your team was supposed to win and this must be so hard for you.
However, can't we also gloat for a little bit? This Giant victory, so sweet, so unbelievable, is a moment in time we just have to savor. I grew up the daughter of a Giant's fanatic -- I became a sports fan just to get stay close to my dad and this Victory makes him so happy.
And finally, Eli Manning, the new little Engine that could. Even his name rings of Elliott. Remember how close Elliott came to winning AI5? This feeling we Giants' own, is how we would have felt had Elliott won that competition.
So there, :hooray: :1word: :rotfl:
efan22 - February 4, 2008 09:01 PM (GMT)
First of all I don't think that the Red Sox fans bash the Yankees any more than the Yankees fans bash the Red Sox...it's pretty much mutual bashing. Second of all, when the Red Sox won the World Series this year, I was ECSTATIC, but I didn't come on this board to gloat, not at all, AND, I never came on here to bad mouth the Yankees when they lost. Knowing that there are many New Yorkers on Etrain, i would never dream of doing that. The thing that we all have in common is that we love Elliott, and Elliott always shows respect for everyone.
Crazycate - February 4, 2008 09:10 PM (GMT)
You know I disagree with you. Few people wear Yankee hats in Boston, but all I see here in NYC are Boston hats, by the way. But I won't fight with you, cause this isn't the place. I went to BU and lived over Fenway park, I am quite familiar with Boston's angst.
I am sorry you find the Patriots loss so disturbing that you have to be annoyed at our joy.
But this forum is about Elliott. And let's leave it at that.
