Elliott fans have been promoting his Cd on Wait For You youtube site.. we are telling them Target carries it and the songs are great.. With thousands of hits a day it is a great place to promo his cd.. and word of mouth too..

Elliott has over 8 million views of WFY on Youtube and gets hits daily in the thousands to listen to his song and watch his video.. He is loved.. :awe:

January is over, so I guess people are starting to buy albums again. Also, WFY is going strong on AC radio. Maybe by the debut album's anniversary - March 20, right? - we will be celebrating 500K sold.

So glad to see the sales increase. 500k is soo close and will be here and past before we know it.

For the first time in many months, I saw Elliott's CD in Wal-mart. There were 3 copies, more than I've ever seen there at one time. Oh and the price is very reasonable at only 11.88! A steal!

I was actually going to go shopping today for another CD on my way home from work - I need to get birthday gifts, etc., but the weather here is so nasty that I just came straight home - I hope to go out tomorrow. I'll need to check the weather station to see what's going on in the rest of the country - since Elliott is flying to VA today, I hope the weather is okay where he'll need to be. We have the snow, freezing rain, rain back to freezing rain, snow thing going on. It is awful. The tree branches look pretty though with the coating of ice.

I'm relieved to see sales are steady because I use Amazon as a gauge of the trend, and he's been dropping there.
Didn't the current AI frontrunner talk about Elliott in his video? Isn't that enough to be considered 'promotion', since so many people (especially the youngest fans!!) will watch that vid?

Both David Archuleta and Chikezie gave props to Elliott in their interview videos. I don't really know how much those videos get watched, Sherwood. I do think you're right that it's younger folks that watch them.

Elliott is still #5 on the AC charts, and has seen a little action on Smooth AC, which I'm thinking would be a new station. My guess is it's radio play that's still driving sales.

The CD in my car has a skip in it. It must be worn out. :rotfl: I guess it's time to go out and buy a replacement. I can't be the only one the has happened to.

Sometimes a little dirty spot will cause a CD to skip -- it might just need cleaning (not that I'm trying to discourage you from buying another one)!

I check Amazon periodically and his numbers would have predicted sales in the hundreds. Some reasons for the better sales:

1) did sales on military bases count? 2)radio play is continuing to sell albums 3) David A is probably the most popular idol for the teens and he talks about Elliott a lot in his promo 4)Valentine's Day boost. Whatever, it's good to see the album is still competitive with Pickler and Bucky who are getting boosts from new country hits/tours.

That's the one with their version of WFY on it. The Disney Jams album with Elliott's version of WFY is #44 on HDD.

Of course, it's the Disney name that's providing the magic but it's still pretty cool.

I just wish they would have sung Wait for You on the commercials :). I think it's great.

Def gets paid when he sings the song. Probably gets something for the Kidz Bop thing as he's half owner of the Hickory label. I think the publishers/song writers get the biggest share of the $ though.

It will be great when he reaches that 500,000 sold in the US on paper, but he HAS the gold record already ;-> I would LOVE to see a picture of it though - LOL! (Just in case you read this Elliott )

Really - I am still amazed that this feat of a gold record with one hit by an independent artist is not getting more buzz out there. A gold record in this day and time is a great achievement WITH a major label deal, but as an independent it's unbelievable! And the record still sells week after week!

The retailers made the album gold in October but it's nice to see all those albums sold. That means they'll have to keep ordering at least a few more as the album is still selling. I think E's IGB appearance will give it a nice boost as well. Hopefully, it's moving its way to 700K worldwide.

By the way with album sales so lousy, many folk consider 300K the new 500K.

I wonder if the album will sell 500K by March 20?

Here is another pic of a beautiful plaque presented to claudette. It has the Indie chart on one side , and the Billboard 200 chart on the other side., with the #1 Indie, and the #3 Billboard highlighted. The engraving reads something like "presented to Claudette Yamin, in honor of Elliott Yamin, who ranked #1 Indie debut, the highest in Indie history....It's just gorgeous!!!!!

This was a great gift to Claudette! How thoughtful! (I saw the pic of the Gold Record too - why don't you go ahead and post it somewhere already Elliott?!)

Just to clarify....The plaque was given to her by , I think, some record executives( maybe his management company)
