This review remark.. I didn't thrill with this comment.. "if you really like Elliott Yamin . does that exclude everyone else?? I wish he had said something more on a broader term , such as just DOWNLOAD it!!

Should we try to request this song once the cd hits tomorrow? I must be deaf. I love the song.

I think requesting songs on radio unless they're going for adds probably doesn't work. However, Richmond might be a special case and might play it.
Since Randy/Paula are doing PR this week, it might be ok to request it other places as well.
Just don't overdo it or take it personally when they say they never heard of it.

Yeah. I'd recommend people wait for signs that this is going for radio adds before we do any substantial requesting. I checked some spots and so far there is no visible evidence that this has been sent out to top 40.

But Richmond is obviously an exception. Requests are probably expected there.

Aw poor Kat.:( But I'm glad with the Yamin part though! The song actually kinda reminds me of some old song with the same rhythm so I'm not sure if it's an original or a revival. But yeah, it's kinda boring. Not really that conspicuous when compared to others in radio, but Elliott's voice is just oozing in it though, I cannot resist it. Not because I'm biased, okay. Elliott just oozes.:P

Well, they're still pushing Paula's song to radio, aren't they? I'd think they'll wait until that one's done or peaked or something before they release another. It seems like Paula's song has only been in official release for a few weeks, so there's a while to wait before they release anything else, I'd think.

Review from Boston.com
Randy Jackson's Music Club (Dream Merchant 21/Concord)

ESSENTIAL "Real Love"

Real Love" features "Idol" runners-up Katharine McPhee and Elliott Yamin, and the latter sounds as if he's going to turn out to be an intuitive and convincing R&B presence. The problem is that by blurring so many genres the disc lacks coherence. [Ken Capobianco]

Intuitive and convincing R&B presence :rocker:

Boston.com is the Boston Globe not the Boston Herald and deserves its own thread. (I think)

True. It's got three threads now, because it's quoted and commented on down in the Randy Jackson Album Review thread, too. And I can see why. Great review for Elliott.

I wonder what it is with Boston throwing out two reviews already? The only other one I've seen is USA Today (seen some track listings for a new release, but no actual reviews), but that's a pan of Real Love -- "No" to downloading.

It's just a matter of time!

As time goes on, he just keeps proving himself to more people who didn't notice earlier, it seems.
