So next week's sales chart will mark the year anniversary of Elliott's album.

I celebrated by going into Wal-mart yesterday, and taking the one last copy they had of Elliott's CD and putting it in the special "idol" section right in the middle on top! One year later, and he is still doing so well. I am just so proud of him, and even prouder, to be such a huge supporter and fan;)

Oh, and a guy that was parked near me yesterday at Wal-mart said "does that E-Yamin on your plates mean Elliott from AI?" I told him yes, and he said "that cat was GOOD!" and I said .."I know...and he still IS!!" lol;)

:rotfl: Amazon just sent me a reminder to buy Elliott's CD! LOVE IT!

iTunes still has it for $7.99, if you want to make your own CD, or do a gift to someone new and special.

Since the CDs were on sale for only $7.99, I thought the sales for the last two weeks would have been higher. Oh well. Kat's appearance on AI resulted in a total of 300 more CDs sold than the previous week.

I know I'll be buying 2 more CD's this week to mark the 1st anniversary of Elliott's debut CD. That $7.99 price from I Tunes is very tempting but I really like to have the hard copy with photos and liner notes.

I also remember March 20th well, several E-Trainers got together in Richmond for a CD listening party. That was fun. I met Pdlvne that day.

Neither will the rest of us because we were all excited to hear from you guys.

If my math is right, 961 is the magic number. Am I wrong? I'm not sure downloading the same album twice on iTunes counts as a separate sale but again I'm not sure. Maybe gifting it is the way to go? I think next week will be the perfect time to hit the magic 500K mark.

in truth, he hit 500K months ago in shipments and international sales, but no one can deny him a "Gold" label once he crosses this threshold.

Each sale at iTunes counts seperately, as long as it's done on different receipts.

Considering that the number 499,039 is as of Sunday and that he sells about 1,200 copies a week and that we are already in the middle of the next week right now he is probably somewhere close to 499,600.

OMG!!!!! 1 year ago today!!!!! spending the day with Kim, Eyfan, Aex, Trouble,Chattycb,Jeanines,Atlantiskat,Ramblerg, going to Kelly and Regis, seeing Elliott after the show, hanging out with the etrainers, lunch at tgifridays, meeting everyone in line at virgin records, sending the younguns over to TRL with the posters,hanging out for hours inside virgin records while they played excerpts from the cd all day long, screaming every time they did!,seeing and talking to Elliott again at the signing,seeing Bucky,. It was a magical day!!!!!!
And it just keeps getting BETTER!!!!!! :chloe: :chloe: :chloe:

and I think I may just go pick up that last copy at Wal-mart...

while others have faded completely (Kat, Taylor and Bucky now sell well south), Elliott continues to make at least 1000 copy sales at retail, a year after release -- this is no small victory these days, especially if you look at his contemporaries from the same schedule of release last year.

While he'll go "catalog" soon enough, he is still one of the leading Indie releases of all time, and his single continues to receive significant airplay on many stations, especially in the AC markets.
