Title: Celebrating Claudette
Description: Anyone interested?

Hello everyone,
Like all of you, I have spent a lot of time today reading, crying, and hurting when thinking about the tough times Elliott and his family are going through right now. I can't help, though, by being so very touched by the LOVE that we all have for Claudette and Elliott. There are so many beautiful photos and stories and thoughts being shared all over the internet, the news, radio here in Richmond, etc.
Again, like so many people, I've wracked my brain over something to do to ease the pain that the family must be feeling. I know that Elliott and Scott (and the whole family) are probably devastated, numb, and totally heartbroken right now, and I think it's critical to respect their privacy at this time. Hopefully, on some level, they realize the tremendous outpouring of love and prayers being sent through the universe their way. But I can't help but think that if they were ever able to read some of these beautiful tributes and memories (some day down the road) it might ease the pain a bit, to realize just how much Claudette touched so many lives.
One thing that I'd like to offer to do, if anyone is interested, is to collect pictures and stories, poetry, art, etc., from folks to create a "Celebration of Claudette's Life" book that the family can perhaps read at sometime down the road when it might sink in. What I have in mind is a very nice hard-bound, full-color "real" book. For any multimedia, I'm thinking of a DVD tribute as well that can be included. She's touched our lives so much, and while we're all so very sad, it strikes me that there truly is so very much to celebrate - that hopefully will one day bring smiles and laughter to their faces....
So, if you're at all interested, would you please let me know? Thanks,
Carol
ETA: I'm not sure if this is the "correct" place for this, but I trust that a mod will move it to the best place if I guessed incorrectly. Thx.

I have nothing to contribute, but I think it's a great idea that you should definitely do! Things like this mean a whole lot to you down the line after suffering a loss like this.

For those of us who don't have anything to contribute, like pictures, etc. , would you consider a page or two for "thoughts" or a brief sentence or two from those of us that have been touched by her and her son and would like to share a thought or two? Kind of like a "tribute" page. I think it would be nice to hear what strangers have to say about their mom, and how she touched the lives of many.
Just a thought...............

Oh ABSOLUTELY!!! I know full well that many folks don't have pictures, but in reading through the volumes of comments and tributes that people have written over the last few days, most certainly, LOTS of people have moving testimonials and messages they'd probably like to share, and we'd want to have these types of things included.
There are lots of things already posted that I think would touch the family's hearts tremendously, but before I include anything that's already been written or posted, I'll PM you to make certain that it's OK by you.
However, it would greatly simplify things if folks who wanted to submit something would send it to the following email address that I've set up specifically for this project:
CelebrateClaudette@yahoo.com
Thanks so much to everyone!
I'm at work right now, so will post some more tonight....

my dad said that he'd be more than happy to make a video...im not sure how long it would take since it might be hard getting the pics together since i dont have any. But i think it would be really cool for elliott and his family to be able to have a DVD of pics of Claudette. Like i said my dad would be more than happy to make it...i was just wondering what your thoughts were...
