I don't know if there are any Neil Diamnd fans here or not, but if there are, could someone go to amazon and listen to Neil's new single. He has a new CD called Home After Dark coming out in May (hence the appearance on Idol) and there is a video for the lead single Pretty Amazing Grace. It's an amazon exclusive so I don't think it can be brought over here and it's only up for a few more days.

I've been listening to this song all morning. This is the Neil Diamond of old. I think he sounds fantastic. The lyrics are beautiful. I can't make up my mind if he is singing about a specific woman in his life or his spirituality. I've seen him in concert everytime he's been in my area and I can't wait to see him on tour again.

Word of warning - if the music starts to play and it's not in stereo, the quality is terrible so exit and go back in again. There must be some problem with the loading.

I'm a big fan of Neil's too. Been to a few of his concerts, but not for many years. I just listened to the single and he sounds and looks wonderful. Can't wait to see him perform this on Idol.

Me too cfans. I've heard a few different versions of the song, but the one on Amazon is my favourite. I can't wait to hear the duet he's done with Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks.

He's just announced his US tour dates, but he's not coming anywhere near me. Have my fingers crossed that he'll do a second leg of the tour. He's supposed to do a mini concert on the Today show on May 2nd.

I thought he was fabulous tonight! Some of the guest mentors on Idol don't perform as well as they used to. Neil's still got it.

I think he's still got it too! He's starting a new North American tour in July and I'm going to see him in October. His new CD is up on msn listening booth - I think it's a great mix of songs to make you think and songs to make you tap your toes.
