Title: Where Is It And What Happened?
Description: The Ameican Idol Elliott Banner?
MY IDOL ELLIOTT - April 12, 2008 02:49 AM (GMT)
HI Y'all, I remember during the American Idol Concert tour Felica The Banner Girl was getting the Elliott Banner signed by fans at the American Idol Concert Tour! As of about a year ago Felica told me the Elliott Banner was in Richmond Virgina? Now I don't know where the Banner is and I don't know if the Banner was ever given to Elliott or not? Does any one know? Please let everyone know what happened if you know any information? Thank you very much! :1word: :elliottelliott: :elliottcap2: :chloe: 4 LIFE!!!

I have no idea where it is, but I signed it in Hershey, PA and took a picture of it. The Hershey concert was June 12, I think. Doreen (WeLoveYouElliott) was the one who was in charge of the banner at Hershey.

The pieces of it (well, all but one of them, I think) are with me. It's not been given to Elliott, as there's been no good time to try and give it to him. Felisha has also been devoting her time to sick kids of late (to say nothing of the fact that Elliott himself has been working like the Energizer Bunny for, oh, how long now?).
I would love to finally get it done. Poor Felisha was so ambitious with this, and when the tour was over I think that she felt like she could make no headway in arranging some sort of presentation of it. If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to pass them on!

I know we tried VERY hard to get the Virginia State Fair to allow us to present it to him at his first solo concert in Richmond. Lise, Felish & I communicated with numerous people within and could not get it approved!!!
It is interesting this subject has been brought up...I was wondering where it ever ended up myself. I wish I had known it was in Richmond...We could have "Maybe" tried to give it to him at Innsbrook.
It is sad, because I know Felecia and many others put ALOT of heart into that project and it is a shame it has not been given to him yet.
Well...I am rooting for a national Etrain reunion sometime in the fall. Maybe, some how we could make our very own Etrain presentation ceremony at that...
Just a thought!!!
I'm always ready, willing and able to begin planning a "Family reunion!"
:discuss: :help: :anyone:

Just to keep it alive in spirit... here's a picture from the Philadelphia concert where I was in charge. It poured that day, but we still had a lot of signatures.

I have faith that it will be presented to Elliott someday.

Just MHO, but why not just let Brandon give it to him? Why must it be "presented?"
I would think that the "right time" would be now, when he is so saddened from losing his dear sweet Mom, that it would certainly bring some warm happiness to him.
I would think that he would really appreciate it, sort of like a "surprise card" in the mail. I know how much I love getting a card or letter that really uplifts my spirits and makes me feel really good inside.
He could read the "love messages" from fans from all over in PRIVATE.....

Some of those messages were from his mom. Although I didn't have her sign it, some did.
eta: the banner, when combined is HUGE! How many pieces GraceStreet? Each being about guessing 4' x 4'.

Are there any plans to start a different banner in the future?
catielyn - April 12, 2008 06:41 PM (GMT)
I had it signed at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. I saw Felicia at Jimmy Kimmel and she said she hadn't been able to give it to him yet. She was talking to Jamie at that time about something to do with a sick kid. I don't really want to speak to that because I just caught bits and pieces but I think Elliott would most blessed to have his mom's thoughts/well wishes on his banner.
My husband died about 5 years ago and I was going through things and found an old note he had written to me and it meant so much.

You know, this occurred to me when seeing chloe's post about Claudette signing her part of the banner at one show. Perhaps this can be folded into what ithad2bu is hoping to do?
As far as presenting it vs. not, itslate is right, it is substantial (upwards of 2 dozen panels, I think -- I may have a list packed in with it). It's not something that could be really just dropped off, nor would it be fair to burden Brandon with, so I have not gone down that avenue.
Whatever happens, I believe we'll be able to do something with the banner that will be effective and appropriate.

Holy Moly! The panels were huge. H-bomb and I were in charge at 4 concerts, and there wasn't space left for a comma!.
Yes Claudette did sign it at the Nassau Coliseum, I signed it right next to hers.
We had such great fun doing it. H- bomb was tracking people down to sign it. We also met a whole bunch of Elliott's cousins at the Bridgeport and Wilkes Barre show, cause they stopped to sign the banner. :chloe: :chloe: :chloe:

I love it. That's awesome! I'd love to see the finished product someday!

:rotfl: I just remembered something... I think it was in Wilkes Barre, that some young smarta$$ kid wrote something less than kind. While I was obliterating it with my sharpie, H-bomb hunted him down like a dog to tell him what she thought of him!!! :rotfl:

Wow. That's wild. I was in charge of in Atlantic City, NJ. Got quite a few signatures. Actually many people at my job and neighbors signed it as well. I always wondered what happened to it.
