Well I know we in Kat's camp are not unhappy. And I bet the Kelly fans are feeling a lot better as well.

The last thing I remember is Clive was trying to revive Whitney Houston's career.

I hope so. It would be a great thing for all three folks involved. I'm hoping for a nice run for her with this song and then her Movie promo starts late July and early August, followed by a new single in September and her new CD later in the fall! Plus she may be shooting another film soon scheduled for a November release. But that is in "pre-production".

I wish Kat the best. It is a very hard business to get established most of the time.

Not a good year for him---2 people dropped from a label after coming in 1 & 2 on American idol, Whitney never makes a comeback and I swear he is the one buying all of Daughtry's CD's. lol

I guess Clive has lost his touch......oh well he will be missed..........yeah right.

With Clive's "promotion" to "Chief Creative Officer," I see this position as more honorary than having any impact in decision-making. That said, I would not be surprised if the new leaders still let Clive interfere, I mean direct, the debut projects of their chosen few from Idol.

If there is a big shakeup at Sony, I hope this doesn't adversely affect Elliott's efforts to complete and release his next CD!!

Finally, I don't hold Alicia Keys in such high regard these days after hearing about her inflammatory remarks in her latest Blender interview.

lol, YES! I hope he's not involved in that this year. I thought he did a terrible job picking songs for the final 3 in Season 5. I think he was the one who picked "Open Arms" for Elliott, right? Elliott did a great job, but I thought Clive should have picked something that suited him better. And I can't remember what he picked for the others, but I remember I thought all his choices were pretty stupid.

But more importantly, I thought he was rude to Elliott and brushed him off when Elliott said he was eager to work with him. That did it for me. Good riddance, Clive.

I just laughed when Clive said he wanted to hear Elliott do a rock song, so he picked "Open Arms" for him. Yeah, rock on, Clive!

I think this is a direct relationship to Elliott's performance on AI.

They probably said damn Clive your stupid--you did not sign this boy to a record label? Now we want him and we have no negotiating power.....damn you Clive--you are removed. Now they are all huddling....how are we going to get Elliott.......????? He outplayed us and struck his own deal.

Wow, I just watched the Tom Hanks Movie That thing you do. Great movie for understanding the business. See ya Clive. I don't need some exec telling me what kind of music I should like, on that note I would like to hear Elliott soar this time around. I bailed a little after his last release because I know he can do much better. That being said did he sound polished on his guest AI performance or what? I think the love for his mom had alot to do with it. That was for her no question!

Please tell me this means the Top 3 can sing 3 different songs they have not yet sung?????
