David Foster...one of the world's greatest songwriters? Don't think so! :rotfl:

Berkana - April 21, 2008 02:34 AM (GMT)
I could eat Josh Groban. So wonderful, and humble too!

Dominar - April 21, 2008 02:54 AM (GMT)
Haha! That poster reminds me of the Sesame Street game, "One of These Things Doesn't Go with the Others" (or something to that effect). I mean: Groban, Bocelli, Buble, Cetera and ... McPhee! Bwahaha!

He also produced Josh Gorban's Noel CD the #1 selling CD of 2007. Plus Buble was the #8 selling artist of 2007 as well.

David's credentials are impeccable and his devotion to his artists is very special. Katharine has been a favorite of his since they met on the show and I can't wait to see what their collaboration will bring on her new CD later this year. I would love to be at this show!! Kat's duets with Bocelli like Somos Novios from the JC Penny concert for the children is simply amazing.

BTW this concert is being taped for air on PBS in December.

Is it true that Michael Johns is also supposed to be there?

KatfanBill - April 21, 2008 03:07 PM (GMT)
I believe so. David did a little coaching session with Michael on AccessHollywood.com and they mentioned that he was inviting him to the show. Not sure if it has officially been announced yet though.

thats so awesome to see kat up there with those amazing people!!!!

I find it odd that Michael Johns could appear, while still under contract with AI, at least until the concerts are over. Has anyone else did anything while under AI contract?

Kat did 3 concerts with Andrea Bocelli in June of 06 about 3 weeks after the finale so it has happened before. And the date of this show is the friday after this season's finale. I'm not sure what he is doing and even if he is performing but it seems like he is.

Quite a line up. She is in good company.

uh... David Foster, despite his failings, is one of the most respected people in he biz....

I think it's good to have Kat go this route, which is where her label should have steered her toward.... easy listening, AC, more sophisticated than contemporary pop.

LOL I never saw an R&B side to Kat. I just knew that when she announced she was making a pop/R&B cd, she was going to flop. She should have just stuck to Over the Rainbow type of songs instead of being this urban pop princess..lol. She's way too vanilla to pull a Rihanna or Fergie so hopefully, this new route will give her some kind of success. I still don't care too much for her singing, but I wish her all the best.

New video add is up at the Mandalay Bay site. Kat definitely is a featured performer for the event!
