It sounded to me like perhaps Randy is trying to get a spot on the finale for Elliott and Kat to sing Real Love live.

At least Elliott plans on being in the audience that night, which means possible interviews on the red carpet.

Darn it, I have to wait until I get home. Well something to look forward to on a rainy day in DC. LOL

I was able to listen to it, just go to http://kiddlive.com and click on kPOD, then on "Randy Jackson Inteview" ^_^

Here's a few things I got from the interview ...

They introduced everyone then started playing the song...
DJ: "There's no way in the world that's two white people."
DJ: "Why did you pick Elliott & Katharine" Randy: "These two can sing anything ..." ... then talks about the CD for a while.
DJ says he was in a room with Elliott and all kinds of other talented musicians and thought "how can I be in the same room with these talents" - Elliott says "I felt the same way!"
Randy wants to go "all the way" with the single - bring it to number 1.
They play a little of Kat's "Over It" - and the DJ says he thinks "Real Love" is a good combination of Elliott/Kat. (The DJs love Kat and Elliott.)
DJ asks if either Elliott or Kat will perform on the Finale (awkward pause) - Kat: "No, I'm not" Elliott: "I hope to be there in the audience"
Randy says he thinks Jason C. will do real well, and all the kids will do real well. But Randy thinks David Cook might have the biggest record.
DJ starts asking Randy about Mariah Carey's wedding because Randy was there - then the DJ says about Mariah "I hate to see another cougar leave the market" and then you hear Elliott burst out laughing.

After they say goodbye to Randy, Elliott and Kat, the DJs start talking about Elliott losing his mom, but didn't feel it was appropriate to bring it up during the interview.

Nice interview. I love how respectful they were of Elliott by waiting to talk about Claudette's death until the interview was over. :awe: I also loved that Randy said you can throw anything at these two and they can sing it. I hope Real Love is a big success.

Very nice interview, I loved hearing Elliott on the radio, the radio tour and all the interviews for WFY was awesome, I was in Elliott heaven every day
